"Follow the rules and you'll be fine" |
Rules I. First rule. Don't be an asshole in this game. Don't try to spread your knowledge about what you think is right and what isn't. This is just a game. There is no harm changing a few things around to benefit some people who might not be familiar with it. Things are not exactly how is it in the game Persona 3 because following the exact same game is boring. II. Before you do an application make sure you create a journal for your character and that it resembles the personality of your character some way. We don't need any journals like xxbitchasswhorexx in this game. I'm pretty sure that's malformed anyway, but that isn't the point. III. No canon characters are allowed in this game from any of the Persona games. The only reason why is because this game is based as an alternate reality to the Persona 3 game. Where most of the things will be the same the characters/locations/groupings will be different. It wouldn't really fit to have them there in New York. IV. Make sure you fill the application out entirely. Any applications that is missing information will be void. V. Once you have been accepted make sure to check your invites in order to join the communities. Invites will be sent moments after your application is approved. VI. The character limit at this time is (3). That is it. That goes for all players. More than that will cause some characters to not be played as much and that kind of sucks. Stick with the character you made for a while and develop them. VII. Fighting in this game is exactly like fighting in any other game. You will sometimes just fight against NPC shadows and sometimes you'll fight against those wielding a Persona. Fighting all depends on your writing. A Persona is only there to add to your description and the attacks that it has are there for you to use. To make things easier for you there is an example below. The pistol like weapon shook in her hand as the creature approached, its black hands sliding against the pavement as it dragged itself in order to attack. She watched, her eyes fearful as her survival instincts took over. She brought the evoker to her forehead, closing her eyes as she pulled the trigger. The sound of it firing ran through her ears, her body shaking as the blue aura surrounded her body. "Come forth, Penthesilea!" She cried, the figure of her persona appearing suddenly, wielding its weapons as it prepared to attack. Penthesilea rushed forward, stabbing the rapier that was in her hand into the gooey flesh of the shadow. The Empress persona stepped back to use the spell 'Bufu', unleashing any icy blast of shards at the shadow to defeat it. Remember that all fights need to be fair. No God-modding is allowed and will not be tolerated. VIII. Keep in mind that this game will have mature themes. Drinking, drug use, violence, sexual situations might very will be present. Very much like the game, this role-play community is given a M for Mature rating. You must be at least 18 years or older to play. IX. Make sure that after you are given a tag you place it within each one of your post. Failure to do this will make the mod very angry. Tags are what will be used to see how well you're doing in activity. A post is required at least once a week. If you have real life issues and you need to go on hiatus make sure you do that at the ooc community and let us know. X. The final rule. Do not cross that IC/OOC line. Leave your baggage at the door when playing here. We don't want your issues nor do we need your spit fire shit to bring us down. Be nice, be friendly to all and most of all have fun here. I can't even stress that enough. Role-playing is NOT something to add to your stress. F.A.Q.S I. What is this game about? What are the elements? Do I necessarily have to know about the game to play in it? This game is about a group of individuals who are able to use the power of Persona and use that same power to fight off the evil presence of shadows. A Persona is a manifestation of one's self and it is used to fight in battles. Each Persona is unique in its own way and can harness different powers, the persona is supposed to resemble the unique traits of whoever your character is. This game resembles any regular role-playing game that you will see out there. You'll have characters interacting and learning about their potential to summon a Persona and his/her own experiences with the dark hour. Some characters will join to fight off the shadows while some may decide to do their own thing. You don't really need to know anything about the game to play in it. Mostly everyone will start off not having a clue what is going on with them. II. What is Tartarus? How does that factor into the game? Tartarus is the place most of the 'fighting' is supposed to go down. When the dark hour occurs the group will go off and venture into the massive tower in order to progress the storyline of the entire game. As the group learns more about Tartarus and the Dark Hour more things will come into play and situations will occur where the main plots will ultimately occur. III. Persona? Tartarus? Dark Hour? I don't even know what these terms mean. Where can I learn them? Terms can be found in the glossary section. While your character will most likely come to learn these things in game it doesn't hurt to know them yourselves. Brush up on your reading and go and read the terms here. VI. I'm kind of stuck. I really don't know if I'll fit in this game since it seems like there are elements that I am unfamiliar with. What do I do? This game isn't exactly the easiest to follow, I'll give you that. That is why there is plenty of information listed throughout this entire journal to help you understand what the hell is going on. When you play any game you really don't know what the hell you're doing unless you've had some experience in it before. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand something. There is nothing wrong with not knowing a single thing about this series. Everyone was a newb once upon a time. V. I don't really have AIM. Can I still play? This game is all journal based. AIM is only required if you want to plot which can easily be done through email. |
