Hi peoples!
I'm off on early vacation, visiting (hopefully) sunny California!
It includes an 11 hour flight, parents-in-law, grandparents-in-law and hopefully lots of adventures. Sadly this means less RP for a few days,
but I'll be back before you know it. More exactly on the 14th of December.

While we're at it, anyone have any tips on must-sees and must-doos around San Francisco?

Lucky! Should be a lot of fun, although maybe a bit optimistic about the sun. ;) it IS the Bay, after all!

That beings said, if you have the time/money, I highly recommend swinging for the sunset trip out to Alcatraz Island. You go over by boat when it is light out, get the creepy tour while it gets dark, and get to catch sunset and a beautiful nighttime view of the city from the island/boat ride back. It was definitely the highlight of my trip.

Otherwise, Chinatown is pretty dang cool, and the Japanese garden in Golden Gate park is amazing as well. Hope those help! Have fun!

Have fun. I think I sent you some info, but you could swing up to see the Redwoods while you're there. Also, I recommend the Pier in the city. There's some great places to eat there as well as Madame Tussad's nearby.

Also the San Fran MOMA is pretty nifty if you can get there. Have to take a ride on the trolley - do not miss that. I'm sad I'm going to miss you by all of six days :/ But have fun!
