Upon the uttering of the correct Password, 'Dumbly-Dor', the listener's radio shifts to a low frequency and a few moments of static can be heard followed by a brief tone.

"Are we back?" There is a moment's pause while muffled voices can be heard. "No, push that one! Oh! Sorry about that, folks, looks like the new equipment's giving me a bit of trouble. There is absolutely nothing to worry about, my dear friends and loyal listeners, your warriors of the airwaves are as safe as ever in a brand new studio.

"Welcome, once again, to Potterwatch, the show dedicated to bringing a bit of light to these dark times. This is Stiletto, your stand-in host for the night. River could not make it this evening because he met a cute girl in the Underground. River, if you're listening, be safe mate. I don't want to nurse you back to health after you've contracted some new disease. No offense to our Underground listeners, I know you're doing the best you can. We all are.

"If this is your first time tuning in, we have a few rules you're going to have to remember. For the continued safety of this broadcast, everyone involved in it, and yourselves, please, for the love of Merlin, don't go chatting about it around the Death Eater water coolers. Potterwatch can't be held responsible for the stupid things people admit to doing in mixed company.

"Now, let's get down to the meat of it, shall we?" There is a pause and the sound of rustling parchment. "Fighting broke out in Wrexham last night when Snatchers discovered a commune of Muggles and Muggleborns in the basement of the ironworks. I'm very sorry to report that, aside from the Snatchers, there were no survivors.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I cannot stress enough how important it is to master protection spells. Cave Inimicum, Colloportus, Muffliato, Protego Horribilis, Protego Totalum, and Salvio Hexia are all excellent spells, though we must remind you that they are vulnerable to the use of Tabooed words. If you find yourself crossing Snatchers or Death Eaters, Protego may be your best bet. For a full list of good defense charms, please refer to your Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, before certain trolls took the post."

Another brief pause while more parchment shifts. "Hannah Abbot, former Hufflepuff, has been added to the list of the missing. A close friend of Hannah's has contacted Potterwatch, asking us to urge listeners to report any information about her whereabouts. Other notable members of the missing list include Padma Patil, Dean Thomas, Andromeda Tonks, Hestia Jones, and Aurora Sinistra. Please, if you have any information, please leave a note at the church in Godric's Hollow, their families and loved ones are worried.

"We have nothing new to report about the activities of the Chief Death Eater, who remains locked away in Hogwarts, doing Merlin knows what to the minds of those poor children. To the parents of any students, our thoughts go out to you. We believe your children to be safe for the moment, physically anyway.

"We're not sure if this apparent inactivity by the enemy is a good sign or a bad one. We commit ourselves to keeping you informed.

"On a much lighter note, because I know how much we all need a little lightness in our day, correspondents within the Underground have unearthed a series of tunnels that we hope can be turned into a safe meeting place. We cannot tell you more for obvious reasons, but more information will be provided in the usual place.

"I'm sad to say that's all we have for you, tonight. Us at Potterwatch like to raise the hopes of our listeners, to remind them that there is Light out there, and to remind everyone to keep fighting the good fight. Only by sticking together can we prevail.

"This is Stiletto, standing in for River for Potterwatch. Keep twiddling those dials, friends. The next password will be 'Fawkes'. Keep each other safe. Keep faith. Good night."

The radio goes silent for thirty seconds before Amazing Grace begins. Following the song, the broadcast dissolves into static.
