Plot 1: Blizzard!
The day started out perfectly. The sky was blue and clear, the sun bright and hot, warming the air to 81° (27°C). Rapidly, and with no warning, however, black clouds cover the sky and the temperature begins to fall. In just over an hour the temperature has falled to 35° (2°C). The wind begins to howl, and a heavy, wet, snow falls. Impossibly, a blizzard ravages the tropical island.
For nearly two days, the only thing islanders know is howling wind, freezing temperatures, and blinding, blowing snow. When the storm ends--as abruptly as it began--38 inches (97cm) of snow has fallen.
Notes: For three days following the blizzard, the temperatures will hover near freezing. Finally, the fourth day, the island's climate will return to normal.
All crops will have been killed.
Animals will be mostly unharmed.
The very deepest reaches of the forest--the center of the hunting area--will have relatively little snow accumulation.
Some islanders may have died. Death of humans and humanoids is always temporary on the island.
