    Happy Birthday, Peter!
Is it wrong to hail the birthday of beloved fictional characters?

Happy Birthday to all the Peter Carlisles, in universes main and alternate!

So, what flavour(s) of cake do you think the DI and the Professor would like for their respective birthdays?

    Rose-flavoured doesn't count. ;D

    The Way of Things drabble
    LJ-SEC: (ORIGINALLY POSTED BY [info]xebgoc)

Hello all in the RSPCPC... some of you know that I've posted a few ficlets and drabble in [info]jlrpuck's The Way of Things 'verse over the last few months... and throughout the month of November, in solidarity with the folks who were doing NaNoWriMo, I decided to do National Blogging Month. But just doing a blog entry seemed too easy, so I thought I'd challenge myself to write a drabble a day. So, I did that... and low and behold, a bunch of them turned out to be about Peter and Rose. While my stuff is mostly f-locked, I thought that you all might like to read them, so I've made an un-f-locked post that contains all of the drabble that are related to The Way of Things or And So Things Go in some way.

Please feel free to wander over and read them. There are a few that are screaming out to be longer stories and I'm tying to work on those... when that happens, they will, of course be posted over here.

Oh, I should probably add that a couple of them are rather on the smutty side... so just be forewarned before clicking below.

Those drabble are all over at this page

    Hoarfrost Days 4/4
    LJ-SEC: (ORIGINALLY POSTED BY [info]wildwinterwitch)

    Title: Hoarfrost Days
    Part 4 of 4
    Author: Cloud [info]wildwinterwitch
Beta: The wonderful, generous and patient [info]xebgoc, and [info]jlr_puck, of course.
Dislcaimer: Peter and Rose belong to the BBC.
Summary: In a particularly difficult investigation Peter makes a terrible mistake. Unable to open up to Rose, he hides in Croy.
Set in January of their fourth year.
    Rating: MA
Author's Notes: I'm ever so grateful to [info]jlr_puck for trusting me enough to let me come and play in her Thingsverse, and for answering my questions and requests so readily. Also, of course, to my invaluable beta [info]xebgoc who helped to make my prose flow better. This time, my trip to France and the cold nights in a converted barn inspired me to write this, and a poem by Burns I discovered in an anthology. Rose reads it – silently – at the end of the story.
Also covers [info]tardismate's request about Croy, and [info]crimedoc1's about a very upset Peter.
