Who: Grace and Ken What: An Interview When: Friday Evening Where: Junior College Food Court Rating: Low Status: Incomplete
Grace had just finished her crime scene processing class and was stalking the hall outside the classroom where, she had on good authority, M'ken was taking a class. She had been wanting to get him alone for a while and just hadn't been able to. The open case about the triple homicide in the parking lot of the Experience was still no closer to being done. She hadn't talked to Justice, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to, but she was hoping that M'ken, who had been a good friend of her mother, would be able to shed some light on who might have performed the rituals she'd seen in the crime scene photos.
She paced for a little while, then gave up and leaned against the wall, waiting for the class to let out. She planned to corner him and then head to the food court so they could talk without being overheard too much. With all the noisy students and the distraction of food, it was pretty unlikely that anyone would try to overhear their conversation. In the library they'd be too conspicuous.
Finally, she saw the door to the classroom open and students began to pour out of it. She pushed off the wall, straightening her white sundress and the jacket she wore over it. She smiled at a few of the people she had seen more than once around campus and then she saw him, "Ken!" She waved her hand in the air, afraid he'd miss her.
