(OPEN) Where have I fallen? I can't get back up.
Sola fell from the sky, face planting into the pole of a sign. She lifted her head in agony,reading the sign. "Ask a Question" it read. "Fine. Where there hell am I? I was singing on stage when I landed here. Don't be afraid, I only bite my husband," she bit her cheek, waiting for a reply.

Most of the time, I could get through most days successfully keeping the acute awareness of Stormy in the back of my mind, and my attention focused forward.

Every now and then though, something would happen, someone would say something, there would be something that would remind me of her so clearly that it felt as though all I might need to do is wake up, and I would be back in Pico Mundo, and everything else would turn out to be nothing more than a bad dream she would laugh about when I told her the details.

Something in the attitude, the way she spoke, the words the woman at the sign used, in her own way, she reminded me of Stormy.

It was a long moment before I found my voice again.

"I'm afraid you've fallen through a portal into an in-between dimension called the Nexus," I said, looking up for any sign of a doorway.
