Is this part of the dream?
Nyneave stands looking up at the sign, her long waist length braid clutched in one hand. "I don't think I've heard of this in the world of dreams before. A question hmmm? Seems pretty quiet around here, not sure if I'll get any answers. But stranger things have happened in the dream. So why do woolbrained fools tell you to send for them and they will come if you need them, when they are half way across the world? Don't they realize that if you need them, you need them then, not days later?"

"It's not quite a dream, though I wouldn't know enough to tell you what it is," Melisan answered. "And I assume that it's not a simple matter of information you need, or something not pressing."

Roy sometimes found himself idling around the sign, although he questioned his sanity whenever he did. But, information on new happenings in the Nexus was nice, and getting that information without having to try to hear it over the noise of loud music and demanding customers at the bar was even nicer, so there he was.

He looked up from the bench he was sitting on, setting aside the alchemy text he'd been reading like a big nerd. "Sometimes you may need someone for something that doesn't require their presence right that second. It depends on what sort of resources your world has available to you. Several worlds have ways of communicating across distances that large, and just as many have ways for the person in question to travel that distance quickly enough for them to be helpful to you."
