Rules
All characters live in this same world, it is not a nexus, and there is no magical gateway from which your character must magically appear. However, if in your characters fandom of origin they have died, a reasonable explanation for their survival must be given upon application. If they are a historical character from many years in the past, please also give an explanation of your characters appearance in the present day.
Character Limit: For the time being each player is limited to 5 characters. As we get more players this may be re-evaluated.
Entries may be made in first or third person. Once you have decided a point of view from which you will be writing, stick to it. Posts with over 250 words please place behind an cut. If you do not know how to do this, please ask a mod and we will gladly provide step by step help. Please tag your posts with the appropriate tags: character posting, thread status ie.: open, fan fiction, closed, no holds barred
OOC Communication. All in character posts, unless tagged a Fan Fiction, require a correlating post on the Out of Character board. Please include a general explanation of the thread, any plots points you have in mind, who you would like to participate in the thread, etc… Also, if major plot points (such as how much character damage can be inflicted or presuming/implying action of another character) are discussed through off board channels such as AIM, please note on your OOC post that these decisions have been previously agreed upon.
God Modding. Unless a thread is tagged ‘No Holds Barred’ you must not force action upon another character. Also known as ‘god modding’. For example; ‘She punched him in the face, breaking his nose’ should be ‘She threw a punched aimed for his nose, in the hopes that she had enough strength to break it’. As noted above, these sort of details should be worked out through OOC communication.
Crossing fandoms. Yes, this is a multi-fandom community. That does not mean your fandom must adapt to another fandom. Before you can inflict your characters super human powers upon another please discuss this with the other player. For example; If Rogue touches a character from the Heroes fandom it is up to the player of the character being touched to decide if Rogue can in fact absorb that characters powers as they are not part of the X-Men fandom. Again, OOC communication is key in successfully crossing fandoms without butting heads.
Thread participation. Please do not participate in more then 2 active in character threads at one time. For some of us more anal players timelines are important as is action that might potentially affect a future thread.
Character Communication Board. Please use this board for posting phone calls, emails, text messages, letters and deliveries from one character to another.
