Subject:Safe Now
Time:12:10 am
Who: Jack and Maggie
Where: The Woods, then Jack's Place
When: Evening

Jack had gotten word from Eli and his crew where to hunt down Maggie and her captor. After he knew his sister was safe, even if he and Mannix hadn't gotten to her on time, he went for her. When he got there, he faced off against the vampire, winding up ripping his throat out deep enough to hit spine, then he kept pulling on the spine to sever the head. It was harder to get heads to come off without thumbs. But he managed it, and the vampire turned to dust, which was fucked up, but better than nothing.

Then he went to track Maggie's scent. When he discovered it was a patch of earth he tracked her scent to, a bolt of panic hit him. He started digging, as fast as he could – something he could do better as a wolf so everything had it's perks and drawbacks, now didn't it.

There was mud around Maggie’s eyes from where she’d been crying. How long had she been trapped beneath the earth? It felt like days, but she knew that couldn’t be right. She shouldn’t be able to breathe that long, yet she continued to live. The idea that she might starve to death after being buried alive was so ridiculous that she’d laughed until she’d cried, fallen asleep then woken up to cry some more. She tried to dig herself out, but didn’t even know which way was up. For all she knew, she was digging herself deeper into the ground.

Who: Jack and Mickey
Where: Maggie's House
When: late

Mickey left the bar with a smile, thinking that it was nice to have such a light conversation with someone. Sure, it wasn’t going to go anywhere. Odds were that he wouldn’t even be able to manage something like he had with Eily again, but it was nice to talk to her. It made him feel a little better. Less cold than his conversation with December. He was forcing himself to think on just Eily, that cheery smile, at least until the smell of burning caught his attention. He turned twice, seeing smoke coming from more than one direction, but one in particular caught his attention. “Maggie.” He knew where her house was and he saw the smoke. Grateful for the bike he pushed himself that way, as fast as he could, pulling up short at the sight of her house and yard on fire.

Who: Jack and Fiona
Where: The Winery
When: Early Evening
Warning: NSFW

Fiona had been sitting in her house, shivering and staring out the window at the fierce elements that had been wreaking havoc on Delphi for hours now. From bored texting, she caught wind that businesses had begun closing down due to the weather which was disheartening for her; she was both hungry and had nothing to drink to keep herself pre-occupied with some sense of alcoholic warmth and general bliss. It was after a few more minutes of sitting in silence, surrounded by falling darkness, that she said fuck it. She grabbed a zip-up hoodie from her couch as she passed it, pulling the hood up before she opened her front door and took a step outside. A big gust of harsh wind proved to make the act of just closing the door difficult, but she finally managed and quickly took off for the winery. It was closer than anything else and would be sure to curb not only her appetite, but her thirst for something with a little bite too.

Subject:Family Breakfast
Time:11:14 pm
Who: Jack, Mannix, and Lily
Where: Lily’s house
When: Morning

Lily had nearly been floating around the kitchen, humming every love song that she knew even the slightest of. She had had the greatest night and morning so far, waking up to Lochlan being something she wanted to be able to do an innumerable amount of times. If she hadn’t had plans for breakfast with her brothers, she was fairly confident she wouldn’t have been able to pry herself from Lochlan’s arms or kisses. At the thought, she considered the idea that Jack might be able to smell him on her if his senses were as keen as Lochlan’s, eyeing the timer she had set for the banana bread that was baking in the oven. She had enough time to get a quick shower in before continuing to cook, and then she could avoid the possibility of her brother going alpha male for the time being. She didn’t know if that was an actual thing, but she knew dogs sometimes seemed agitated at the scent of other dogs in their house.. and then she quickly decided she had better keep that analogy to herself. Being likened to a dog might be just a little bit offensive for either of, if not both, the werewolves in her life. She scooted to the bathroom, running the water in the shower while she sought out something to wear for the day. It was already considerably more warm than it had been yesterday, so it seemed the perfect occasion for her favorite pair of shorts and a light sweater.

She returned to the kitchen about fifteen minutes later, making sure the bread still had time in the oven before seeing to preparing the fruit salad from the fruits she had picked up at the market on their way back from the high hide. She hadn’t quite stopped her humming streak while lost in her own little love bubble, but she did at least try to be somewhat quiet as she didn’t want to disturb Mannix, wherever he was in the house.

Who: Jack and Maggie
Where: Maggie’s House
When:After midnight

Maggie didn’t know when Jack would show, but she expected it to be before midnight. When the clock struck twelve, she turned out the lights, washed her face, put on her pjs, and crawled into bed. Maybe he’d forgotten or gotten tied up elsewhere. She knew he was a busy guy, that he wasn’t the sort she needed to invest in, but it was so easy to be drawn in. Jack made her feel special, like she was the only girl he had eyes for, and while she wanted that to be true, she seriously doubted that was the case. Maggie drifted off into a fitful sleep, worrying in her dreams of other reasons Jack might not have shown.

Time:06:24 pm
Who: Jack and Aidan
Where: the woods
When: afternoon

After hours of searching and coming up with nothing, Aidan was beginning to feel desperate. How did someone completely disappear in a closed environment? The only thing he could fathom was that she was hurt somewhere, or locked up in an attic, or starving herself. None of those options were acceptable. And while Aidan knew he was being almost creepily obsessive about finding her, he just couldn’t let it go. He and his kin had managed to chase her out of her own life, make her feel unsafe in her own home, and abandon everything she had. He had to set that right.

Which was how he ended up at Jack’s place, knocking on the door of what was supposedly a brothel. He was a bit curious about that part as well, but not today. He was too distracted with his quest, to find Sylvia or die trying.

Jack had been resting a lot after he'd got home. It had felt a lot like he'd been out drinking all night. So, he'd gone home, rested, and was still feeling a little exhausted, though he'd made himself get up. He was going to see Maggie at some point, so he probably needed to be conscious. He'd showered, and was actually heading to the porch, hair combed and he was going to have a cigarette before he worked out what his next move was. He could hear one of the girls having a vocal time upstairs somewhere. When the knock came, he just finished his way to the door, opening it up. "Hey," he greeted Aidan, stepping out of the house. "What's up?"

Who: December and everyone helping out
Where: the woods near the trader's circle
When: mid day

So, there was a great clearing, which was nice, and weirdly, a lot of people seemed to show up. She had opted to go buy a lot of water, and other shit, almost like she was setting up for a town freaking picnic. Only instead they were building super fun werewolf cages. Right.

As people milled around, she looked at everyone, and stood up on a cooler she'd brought. "Okay! So, hi. I'm December. And I figured this was our best bet, so that's why we're all here. To make sure tomorrow night doesn't get stupid and terrifying at the same time. Thanks for coming. Let's get this show on the road as fast as we can, and get this done. Honestly, with this many people it shouldn't take that long." Which was kinda shocking, but damn. There were a lot of people. "Any questions, find me and ask. Have at it."

Subject:My brother, the Wolf Man
Time:10:37 pm
Who: Lily and Jack
Where: Outside O'Reilly's
When: Late, late evening

Lily moved down the street, hands in pockets as she walked. She had been looking for Jack since she got out of work and was seeming to lack the apparent luck one needed to find him. He wasn't answering her texts or phone calls and that was enough to make her begin to panic. What if the vampire blood was only a temporary fix? She picked up her pace at the disturbing thought of him on the brink of death somewhere. She cared about her brothers more than anyone else in the world, including herself. At least she could worry about Mannix a little less now, in theory.. maybe they could look into getting Jack on the vampire train.

She was quickly approaching O'Reilly's when her gaze landed on a familiar figure exiting the bar, a wave of relief washing over her followed by extreme irritation. Here she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and there he was, apparently ignoring her?

Her steps got heavier as she stormed after Jack, anger building in her with every inch she grew closer to him. Once she caught up, she whacked his arm without warning then dropped clenched fists at her sides. "Why the fuck aren't you in the hospital?" Well, she already knew the answer to that. Still, she wished he would have at least waited until the doctor had given him a clean bill of health.

Jack had opted to get himself a drink. After the werewolf bullshit, he needed one, and going in alone meant he didn't have to socialize unless he wanted to. Small talk would be okay. He just wanted a little time. He'd probably go for a long walk afterwards, even if he knew no real answers would come, regardless. He was a werewolf, there were other people who were werewolves, and that was that. Plus, vampires. And zombies outside. Yeah.

He sat at the bar, over to one side as far as he could get, so he would only have to worry about one other person sitting beside him, though no one had taken the spot. He nodded for another beer--his third, and he was taking note that by now at least he should have been feeling a little warmer...but he wasn't.

Subject:the word is 'abuse'
Time:10:55 pm
Who: Jack and Lily
Where: her place
When: a year ago

They weren't going to be in the dome for that long, really. Just a quick trip this time, mostly deliveries and new requests. But every time they were there, both he and Mannix stopped in to see her. It was the first day they'd arrived, so Mannix was setting up dealing with people. Jack had delivered the last of the heavy shit to people, and was knocking off to see Lily. Heading up to her place, he knocked on the door. He was happy to see her. He tried his best to keep any actual business out of her hair, since she wanted it that way. Which he respected. Hell. Sometimes, deep, deep down, he envied it.

He just wouldn't say as much. Ever. He hoped she hadn't heard they were in town yet, he wanted to surprise her. So, he stood outside the view of the peephole as well, leaning against the doorframe for her to open up.

Lily sat at her table, glancing over her left arm with a frown. The house was silent, allowing her to be in her own thoughts for the moment, which was something that she greatly needed to clear her head. The bruise was obvious; she wouldn’t be able to cover that up well for the next few days. There was no doubt it would be a long sleeve kind of week again. Hearing an unexpected knock at her door, she jumped slightly then glanced up. Tim was at work and probably wasn’t going to stop by tonight, so who could it be? Slowly, she got up from her chair to move towards the entrance of the house, wincing slightly at the tenderness of her right side. Where her arm had its own nasty mark from Tim grabbing and squeezing, it wasn’t anything compared to the larger bruise on her side. She understood why he was so upset, but still.. she wished he wouldn’t get so carried away sometimes.

Pushing herself up on her toes to view out the peephole, she didn’t see anyone. Pulling the sleeve of her white V neck tee down as far as she could manage, she slowly opened the door. Immediately, a smile lit up her face that erased any residue of a frown as she set dark eyes on Jack. Lifting her arms for a hug, she couldn’t contain her excitement. “Baby brother!”

Time:12:53 am
Who: Zania and Jack
Where: her house
When: mid day

Jack had flowers to deliver. So, he went and got some--a rather big, brightly colored bouquet--and went to Zania's, figuring she'd be inside, considering her 'condition'. Which, as he walked, he decided was one hell of a suck ass drawback to being a bloodsucker. It was a beautiful day, and his brother was stuck inside, and she would be too. Bounding up the steps, his injuries twinging as he ignored them, he knocked on the door, the flowers behind his back.

Zania was home because, really, where else would she be on a beautiful, sunny day? She was fine so long as she avoided direct sunlight, which meant the windows were open, allowing a breeze to come through, and she was in the kitchen baking. It seemed like a good day for cherry pie. While they weren’t expecting visitors, Zania was always glad to have someone come visit, and she hurried to the door, opening it with a smile and a bit of surprise. “Jack! I thought you’d still be in the hospital!”

Subject:Pack Meeting
Time:10:54 pm
Characters: Micah and OPEN TO ALL WEREWOLVES
Setting: Hospital Chapel, just after 10pm

Micah had watched them file in, the variety of patients in a variety of states. He'd chosen to sit up on the makeshift altar, not that a non denominational chapel would really have an altar, but it did. After a while, when he was sure no one else was going to drift in he stood up, watching them, meeting their eyes before giving a smile a shot.

"Thanks for coming," he said. "I think this is all of us, for now at least. Anyone who didn't come by, I'll go find them later." He shifted his weight for a moment before jumping into things.

"I know all of you are feeling weird. Heightened sense of smell, heightened hearing, things like that," he said looking around the room. "Maybe even some tweaks to your personality, and you're probably all running a fever. I know because I'm going through the same thing." He smiled again, feeling more like the doctor and standing up a little straighter. They will listen to you. They need you. The voice was in the back of his head reassured him.

"I've looked through everything and the answer, it's strange. But things are strange these days. Any of us who saw the zombies know that. That said. I think we're werewolves. Or we will be turning into them. It explains the quick healing, it explains the senses all of it. It's ridiculous, but there's been other weird things happening. It's not just us." He shrugged a little.

"That said, you can believe me or not. I can't prove it one way or another. But I can tell you that there's people out there that want to keep us in line. They'll hunt us if we step out of line, just like they did the zombies. We need to prepare. We need to stick together."

Rain was never promising for business. When people didn’t have cars to get them around town, they didn’t wander out into the rain to get their hair or nails done. So when Maggie woke up to dark clouds and raindrops, she decided to stay home and instead settled in to read up on dogs. She was going through the books that Jack had brought her on veterinary medicine, slowly learning all she could learn. It was going to take some time, but she thought once she’d read everything, she could start advertising herself as a vet, while also working at the salon. Even if all she had was book knowledge, she had to start somewhere.

Who: Jack and Mannix
Where: The Hospital
When: Pre-Dawn

Jack hadn't been awake much in the past few days. He'd been kept under, he knew, because he was that extensively damaged. How he lived, he didn't know and it seemed like there was a lot of confusion on the part of the medical staff, too. About all he had found out was that there was weirdness in his healing, like there'd been a jump start on it before he'd even got to the hospital. That and everything in the world seemed to be turned up to 11, and that wasn't really helping him.

Today he was fighting the meds, and had retained enough coherency to pull the IV out and let himself truly surface. Sitting up sucked, he felt like one big ball of pain, but he was usually pretty good with that. He'd just never been this close to death before. Either way, he was making extremely slow progress toward the bathroom, hoping he didn't have to deal with any nurses (or at least bitchy ones) when his brother arrived. Leaning heavily against the wall, he looked over. And realized that the door hadn't opened yet. No one was in the room with him. But he knew he was there. How? Did he sense him? What the fuck?

Who: Jack and Zania
Where: the streets
When: before dawn
Warnings: blood and things

Jack had gone out for a drink that night. There was a local working, not one of the family members, as he understood it. He was still getting to know the place, though, and it had been significantly less fun than when he’d taken Maggie out. But he’d needed a drink, and to possibly just get out of the house. So, that meant he’d dropped in on their sister, then went and got a few beers, blowing off people who were interested in talking to him. And there were quite a few. He just didn’t have the ability to fake interest at the moment.

So he’d sat at the bar, kept to himself, and thought over everything. The brothel, the fact that his brother was a vampire, what he’d seen with the whole feeding thing... That, on top of his still being stuck in the same place, his slow play with Maggie, his trying to decide if he wanted to see Reagan again after she’d given up what seemed like lightning fast on him at the auction. It wasn’t that he was sore about it. He wasn’t. It was more just he was thinking he’d been barking up the wrong tree there with her. Sometimes that happened. Things were great for a first encounter, but it didn’t quite go the same afterwards.

Jack had gone back to the porch after the weirdness in the bathroom, and he was sitting off to the side, feet propped up on the railing. He leaned back, and had a beer in hand, because after that he kinda needed a drink. He saw Mickey leave, pretty hastily, it seemed, and he wasn't at all surprised. Then he waited for his brother to show his face again, because they needed to have a couple discussions.

Mannix was slower to make it out of the house, feeling better since ridding himself of the moonshine in his stomach, but still three sheets to the wind. Feeding had helped immensely, but it didn’t make him any less drunk. He checked the status of the sun before wandering out onto the front porch, this time deciding on a chair rather than the floor. “That was interesting,” he said as he searched himself for a cigarette.

If there was ever a question on whether or not a vampire could get drunk like a human, the answer was a definite yes. Halfway through a bottle of moonshine, Mannix thought it would be a good idea to sit out on the front porch, sun be damned. He couldn’t see it in the sky and if he couldn’t see it, then it couldn’t see him. It seemed like good logic as far as he was concerned. With the radio buzzing on the porch rail, he worked his way through what had to be his fourth cigarette, his foot tapping to the music. He’d started in a chair, but somehow ended up on the floor, but at least it was good, solid wood. The kind stakes were made of.

Jack loved a good storm. It was something he always appreciated, one of the simpler things in life. But he did. So, when it was storming like a bitch in the Dome--which as he understood it, wasn’t actually meant to happen--he was out on his own porch, smoking, just enjoying it. He had his feet propped up on the swing out there, and when he saw Maggie making a mad dash to her house, he smiled. He took another long drag, then stubbed out his cigarette.

Without really thinking it over much, he headed over, possibly just because he wanted to see her soaked to the bone. Plus the power was out, and he had a lighter for candle and lantern use. Taking a stroll across the street, he purposely took his time, both not minding the downpour soaking him too and because hey, if they were both like that...

Time:12:05 am
Who: Open to Everyone!
Where: The Movie Festival, Central Park
When: 4 p.m.

When the clock struck 4, Chiri bounded up onto the stage, grinning and waving at everyone. She'd been given a microphone earlier, which might have been a bad idea, considering it was now covered in stickers. Rainbows and happy faces type stickers. "Good afternoon, Domers! Welcome to happy good fun festival day, with lots of stuff going on! There should be something everyone can enjoy, and we've got an event here to help out our treasured citizens--the children! All proceeds go to the orphanage, which I will assure my very self! If anyone tries to pull a fast one, they're getting bitten! And no one knows if I have rabies or not!" she said brightly to the crowd.

"Anywho! Today, we are gathered here to honor a time tested tradition! To totally sell people off for good times for a good cause! So get out your wallets, and feast your eyes on this Dome's bravest bachelors!" Chiri winked at the crowd. "And by the way, they are all way easy on the eyes, so let's cough up some decent pricetags!" she teased. "Here's how this goes! Opening bids start out at twenty bucks! They'll go up five at a time!" she explained. "To make a bid, wave your number around, and someone'll spot it. Probably me. Then there'll be raising bids, and all that til someone comes out on top! Winners will get an evening with their shiny bought man, along with tickets to a movie at the theater! I should tell you it's got to be done within thirty days, but who the heck would wait it out that long when these men are just waiting for you?" Chiri bounced up and down on her feet. "And on that note--let the bidding begin!!"
