Snarry Bonding fic
Note: This can be romantic Snarry or Snape-as-mentor Snarry with (canon) het pairings. Or without (canon)het pairings. I'm really mostly interested in how the two deal with the bond between them.

Everyone knows that Severus Snape owed James Potter his life. And that Harry inherited that debt after his father's death - at least, that's the reason Dumbledore gives for Snape saving Harry during his first Quidditch match.

There is certainly some truth in this. After all, Snape has some responsibility for James Potter's death. And so he did save the son to get rid of the debt to the father.

However, Snape didn't only cause James Potter's death but also the death of Lily. And feeling deeply guilty for the death of his best (only?) friend, Snape made a vow to baby Harry to protect him. With his own life.

The bond is re-affirmed and strenghtened every time Snape does something that ends in saving Harry's life.

Sp when the snake bites him, he is still bound firmly to Harry - who, at that point, is already Master of Death. So when he employs the Resurrection Stone and then dies but doesn't, Snape is tagged along.

Now the war is over, both men still live - and have to deal with a bond that binds their lives together until death and beyond.
