Inu Yasha dark!fic
No idea where this came from. I'm normally not one for dark!fics.

Genre: Angst, drama, can also become romance at one point
Rating: at least PG13, more likely R, for violence
Pairings: *shrugs* could be Sess/Kag. Could also be Naraku/Kag. Anything, really




One

Again, set early in the series. Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha fight for Tessaiga. This time, however, Inu Yasha doesn't discover the Wind Scar in time. Sesshomaru manages to get hold of Tessaiga and kill everyone in sight. Probably even Totosai and his cow. But then, Tensaiga pulses and demands to be used. Sesshomaru revives Kagome.


Two

Cold. Dark. Pain. Light is unreachably far away. Suddenly, there is bright blue light. She opens her eyes. She can't remember anything. There is a strange, scary man. He talks to her. Orders her to bring him a sword. She is shocked by the corpses and the blood, but doesn't recognise the people. She does as she is ordered. Then she follows the man. He is cold and frightening and not very nice, but he is the only one she has.


Three

Sess: Ask. I know you have many questions.
Kag: Do you know me?
Sess: I saw you twice before today.
Kag: Do you know my name?
Sess: No.

She asks about the sword. He doesn't tell her. They meet Jaken. Sess takes her back to the village (he was curious about her, so he answered her questions; now he wants to be rid of her)


Four

Sesshomaru and Jaken leave Kagome in Inu Yasha's forest. The villagers find her and are happy to see her. Kagome is happy to find someone who knows her. They take her back to Kaede. However, Kagome feels very much like demon. Inu Yasha is gone, and she doesn't remember. Kaede thinks it's a trick; somebody else is impersonating Kagome, and she has Kagome thrown out of the village.


Five

Kagome is alone, confused, hungry and unprotected. Think bandits, demons ... you get the idea.


Well. Here, the bunny ran away and left me. I couldn't catch it again.

It's possible that Sesshomaru comes back, for one reason or other, and adopts her like he adopted Rin in canon. Or perhaps Naraku finds her and, delighted she doesn't remember anything, uses her for the shard hunt and as Kikyo-replacement. Perhaps he even calls her Kikyo.

Perhaps, Kagome one day regains her memory. It would make for a lot of angst and drama, anyway. I tend to think she doesn't. She only dreams, sometimes.
