"Life's great," he replied with another smile. Logan had long ago gotten over losing his baseball scholarship and his ability to pitch like he once had. He had always known that he'd never be a Major League player, but he'd been surprised to discover that tearing his rotator cuff was one of the best things to happen to him--it had led him to a career that he loved. "Can't complain anyway. What about you? What have you been doing besides breaking the traffic laws in our fair town?"
He leaned one arm comfortably against her car as he ducked a little to see her better. It wasn't the first time that he'd pulled over an old friend, but it was the first time pulling over a member of the BSC. He didn't think of those girls very often, except for Mary Anne now and then and Mallory because he'd seen her at UNC during the one semester that they'd both attended there. Out of all the girls, Shannon was the one that he'd been the least close to since they rarely saw each other and when they did, he had usually been with Mary Anne. But despite not knowing her that well, he'd always liked her and admired how she juggled school and all the activities she'd participated in.
