"Oh, no," she said warningly, but her eyes sparkled at him. She yanked the end of her towel back from his hand. "You promised me a day in New York and you, Mr. Thomas, are going to deliver. Now go wait while I finish getting ready. Ten minutes."
They both knew that it would take her longer than ten minutes, but she couldn't possibly help that, now could she?
Then the thought occurred to her. Something shiny. What could he be getting me? Jewelry? What kind of jewelry would Sam buy me?
Really it could be anything. It might not even be jewelry, after all. But if it was?
