"Mmmmm...." Stacey murmured sleepily, lifting her arms from beneath the blankets to stretch them up in the air. She opened her eyes and grinned back at Sam. "Good morning to you, too." Her morning voice was slightly lower than her normal tones, and she spoke just a tad slower, too.
She scooted closer and wrapped her arms around him. "And thanks. Now I'm old...at least I'm not turning twenty-five," she teased, knowing that Sam would be soon. "That would be ancient."
Stacey loved her birthday. Maybe it was self-centered of her, but she couldn't deny how much fun it was to be showered with attention--and presents. And as much as she loved gifts, she loved all the positive attention even more. She was happy that she could spend most of her day with Sam, no matter what they did, though, because she loved her guy so much--she just hoped that whatever they did would be fun. But she was pretty sure that it would be.
