Congratulations, everyone! We've all managed to live with a zombie for over a year - successfully, I might add, since this has not turned the apocalypse into a zombie apocalypse. In fact, I might have even been your doctor at some point.

CHATTY TO MAJOR LILYWHITE:

I know none of you want to deal with this, but we have to. It's been days since the mass disappearance, and we need to start putting things in storage or redistributing them. These are the things that need to happen:

Clothes need to be given to laundry services so they can be cleaned and returned to the clothing makers. (Laundry and clothing also needs volunteers to help with the workload.)

Weapons, especially guns, need to be given to the military so they can be redistributed among the soldiers and the guard. Non-military people who know their way around weaponry could be useful helping them check everything over and store them properly for now.

Personal items need to be cared for, either by finding a home with someone the missing person was close to, returned to friends or family from their own reality, or put into storage to clear space in their room. If your housemate disappeared and you have items of theirs that might mean something to someone from their own world, but you don't know who those people are or if they're still around, post here to find them.

In some cases, almost everyone from a group or apartment has disappeared. Volunteers for anything in this (laundry, clothing, weapons, or going through rooms and apartments that would be neglected otherwise) are appreciated. Cleaning out empty apartments is usually difficult enough when it's just one or two.

I guess I didn't figure Virginia for Earthquakes. West Coast, sure, but this has shattered my entire perception about the East coast.

Okay, I can't keep this to myself any longer. I've been trying to be cool about it. I can totally be cool, I swear. But I feel like I'm going to burst if I don't say something.

So on Valentine's Day, Major told me that he had my engagement ring. I guess he'd gotten it when people got things from home. He said it's mine if I wanted it back, and I told him not until he actually asks again, and now I'm sitting here, waiting.

I can't believe this is really earth-that-was and we're in the past. I always wondered wondered what it was like. There were stories this and legends that, but ain't nothin compared to actually bein there. Here! I wonder just how different tech is! And ships! I know they don't got none around here that actually fly but I'd love to see em anyway.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the dragon, both in protecting all of us and making sure we weren't burned to death and eaten, and helping break it down so we can use as much of it as possible. And helping Ravi and I do our thing. I know I'm supposed to be This is going to go such a long way. And we're all still alive, which is not something we've been able to say much.


And thanks for not destroying the head. Luckily, I can't breathe fire.

All right, Mount Weather, it's game time.

Charlie Weasley: If you and anyone else you trust to help you want to try to subdue this dragon bloodlessly, now is the time. The dragon is an immediate threat.

Dragon Hunting Team: If Charlie and his people fail, we're up. We've talked strategy in meetings, and almost all of you are experienced in fighting dragons (or dinosaurs) already. Have each other's backs, don't shit yourselves, and don't be messy. We want as few injuries as possible, and we want to get the most out of this afterward.

Everyone Else: If this dragon goes down, we're taking it for all it's worth. We'll need as many hands on deck as possible, even if you aren't experienced in breaking down an animal. People who know what they're doing will help you. It may end up being for nothing, but you need to be prepared if it doesn't. A majority of the meat will go to our winter stores, the skin and bones will need to be prepped to be turned into supplies, and we need to store as much of the blood as possible. It's going to be bloody, smelly work, but when it's over, we'll eat better than we have in months. If you can't stomach it, doubtless the kitchen staff will take volunteers when it comes time for dinner.
