Why is there a furby on my pillow?

Aug. 26th, 2015

It's no secret we've got werewolves around the camp. Hunting's been delegated to inside the perimeter and fishing hasn't been done since the Grounders staked out the river a few weeks ago. The terms of the truce are simple: the Grounders leave Mount Weather and its environs alone, and we leave them alone. The werewolves are playing a game of chicken with us, standing at the perimeter, daring us to do anything. We're in a tenuous position, and the full moon's coming up.

I'm calling for volunteers — preferably with some kind of fight training — to spend the next few days training when if they attack on the full moon. We've got a course going on right now on how to fight werewolves.

If you can't fight, you can volunteer for medical assistance. We're going to need it. Always good to have people who can mend others.

THE 100:
Times like this, I kind of wish we hadn't blown the the damn acid fog.

You are not well.

I am sorry to the friends and family of Delly Cartwright. She is no longer in this universe with us.

I sincerely hope that everyone who has fallen ill are feeling much better. To those of you that did not fall ill, and choose to use your time in helping others, thank you. To those that did their best to take care of others even while ill, thank you. Thank you all so much for your kindness.

[...] I can't find Inara

I know it's been a rough few days. I'm sorry I wasn't more effective during the crisis, I'll try next time to not cough up most of my blood so I can actually be useful as a doctor.

Hopefully everyone's feeling better. If not, come see medical immediately.

Thank you.

Okay, listen up.

For those getting sick: Here's what we know. You're going to be down for about a day, maybe two. Stay on your side so that when you start coughing blood, you don't drown in it. Your stomach's fine too, so long as you put your face in it. You're gonna feel really bad, really fast. I know it's easy to say not to worry, but this isn't designed to kill. It's designed to incapacitate. Which means that we need to Do not attempt to go to medical. All beds are full.

Anyone not sick: This spreads like wildfire, so if you're not sick now, you likely will be. If you can't get sick, then we're going to need help making sure people stay hydrated and clean. No one wants to come back from this to a puddle of blood they've got to clean up. It's messy work, it's gross, but we're going to need the help. I've found a bunch of buckets and large bowls that people can use in their housing to cough and vomit blood. It's not ideal, but it's all we've got besides the toilets. I need help distributing them, along with bottles of water. Anyone who can, please see me in the kitchen storage area. ETA: We also have a need to return people to their own beds as medical is now full.

If you have questions or concerns about this illness, see medical. If anyone has any ideas for helping, I'm all ears.

Who: The inhabitants of Mount Weather
When: This afternoon, at 2 p.m.
Where: The greenhouse
What: Dedication of the Memorial Garden in the southeast corner of the greenhouse
Rating: Low

Today was the dedication of the memorial garden. Everyone was invited to attend. At the gate to the garden, large flats of flowers were available. People can either take one, put it in a pot, and keep it with them, or plant it themselves after the dedication. One section of the garden was purposefully left unfinished for today. There was a moment of silence for those no longer with them in whatever way. In an attempt to incorporate as much of the recent history of the world as possible, those Sky People and Grounders that have died were named, as well as all of those who have died since the Pod People started arriving.

After that, the floor was open to people to speak, sing, recite poetry, or anything they can think of. Neville began with himself, which I'll detail in a comment, and then he asked Chancellor Griffin to speak, and Steve Rogers and Asala Adaar. After that, he would ask that people take turns and be courteous.

The dedication ended with the planting of the flowers in the garden, with the farmers helping people individually, as well as anyone who has experience gardening.

I'm not really that thrilled with memory updates. A few weeks back, I got several months crammed into my head. I was all right with a lot of it, but as it turns out, my girlfriend broke up with me. Then started acting really weird right before I got here. I'm worried that And then there's everything with Shay and

Has anyone ever gotten memories — undone?

You know, I'm starting to think that maybe I should take these midwife classes. It wouldn't be the first time I've been around for the birth of a baby. Sure would be nice to be more helpful. Of course, the last time, it was a vampire and she staked herself — I've got double memories and it's hard to figure out which

I hear there's a book club? What are they reading?

I miss Lorne. He'd have a karaoke bar all setup here and open for business. Even if there really wasn't any business.

Would you like to go outside with me? There is a place I discovered, overlooking a canyon, that I find very beautiful. Especially at sunset.

I find myself feeling put on the spot, the way you are when asked to step on stage and give a speech. I don't quite know what to say, but I'll give it a go anyway.

Hello, I'm Charles Xavier. I am a mutant. I am gifted with the ability to read people's minds, to reach in and touch their thoughts. I do promise that I will not ever do so without your express permission, and have indeed signed a paper to that effect before I left medical. I'll be working in medical as a part of the administrative team, but I also put myself out there as a psychologist. I've phD's in genetics, biology, and psychology, so please don't hesitate to speak up.

Shit Condolences to everyone who lost a friend today.

I know we don't want to think about this, but someone needs to start digging graves. We can help with that. My brother and I didn't know anyone who died, so it's not as much trouble for us.

Let's get to work.

This week I read a book about innate characteristics; how, even the shepherd dog is fooled to believe it cannot kill the sheep. And I am given to wondering if I am sheep or if I am the shepherd dog.

But the play rehearsal is going very well!

I still quite strongly miss my bookshop. I've spent some time in the evenings starting to put the library in some order, trying to locate some of the books that have been requested to be put into digital form that haven't been found yet. That has helped, but it certainly isn't the same. Alas.

Good news everyone! I'm a cow.

Not right this second, obviously.

I'm sorry about your fiance, my friend. I didn't know what to say when she left, but... I'm sorry.
