The votes have been tallied, and I am pleased to announced that your two new Councilors are: Logan Howlett and Leia Organa. We would like to thank them for their service and cannot wait to work with them in this trying time.

In the event that either of these two disappear, the chain of command would then fall to Cassandra Pentaghast and then Susan Pevensie. It is our hope that we will never have to call upon them, but we can do nothing about that but preparations.

Mount Weather's military divisions were hit hard in the recent large wave of departures. As our reduced population does nothing to reduce the size of the area we need to protect or the size of the threats we may face, we are reorganizing, consolidating, and calling up some additional volunteers to ensure the safety of our home and its citizens.

The Soldier and Guard divisions have been merged, and will share duties among three squads: Bravo, Charlie, and Echo. To maintain a 24-hour guard on Mount Weather, the Scout divisions will also be taking one shift per week, alternating days and nights. The Mapping division is being consolidated into one group, reporting to Sgt. Spock. We called up Fair Weather Friends, so you'll need to take a look at this if you've signed up for the position.

It hurts to talk about it, but I think it's time we did.

At the beginning of the month, R&R went to a drop, and we found stuff to make coffee. Filters, coffee makers, french presses, mugs... and no coffee. I very nearly started crying out there, but I held it together for the team. Someone out there has a sick, sick, cold sense of humor.

I don't know if anyone is going to be able to read this, but I'm going to try anyway. Just in case someone notices that I'm missing, I'm all right. I just have no clue where I'm at, besides some weird form of the Bus. No one's here, we're in the air, and I'm by myself. Instruments are reading normal, but I'm spotting some bogies ahead and behind me, and it looks like I'm flying west, into some red-glowing clouds and what appears to be smoke. The instruments are unresponsive.

Physically, I'm all right. Got a little bumped around when I fell through whatever it was, and I might have to have Dr. Tam take a look at my wrist again, but I'll survive.

I'm officially off the soldier duty roster until I'm 100%, so if you wouldn't mind setting me up somewhere as a guard for the time being, I think that'd qualify as 'light duty'. It's pretty damn boring, sitting around all the time.
