It is no use; my curiosity must be satiated. This week has proven that we have powerful beings among us. I wish to know more. But, I will not expect information without providing some myself.
So if you are a user of magic, I would like to know more about where your magic comes from. Are there different disciplines within your magic? Are there deviations between what is "good" magic and what is "bad", and how is that line between the two determined? Is your magic infinite or must it be nourished or cultured?
For example: in my home world, our magic is a result of harvesting the blood and organs of the Great Ones, a race that populated the earth before humanity flourished. All our magical feats are in thanks to the Great Ones; magic is used predominantly to heal and to strengthen. But many Hunters with interest in the arcane utilise spells for defensive and aggressive moves in battle. As our magic is reliant upon the physical bodies of the gods who came before us, it is finite. Different towns and kingdoms have claimed ownership of these bodies in competition with one another, and the Healing Church of Yharnam has declared some strains of magic heretical by virtue of which god they came from. Thus, "good" versus "evil" is not dependent upon the spells one casts, but the blood that gave you the abilities to use magic in the first place.
If you prefer a private conversation to discuss your world's magic, by all means. I would not wish to engender discomfort.
