The 100; a panfandom game

We know the people who've disappeared aren't necessarily dead, but they were part of Mount Weather. Octavia and I feel like we're doing you all a disservice by not doing something to honor the people who've left. Since there's no play tonight and rationing is lifted, we're thinking a bonfire after the movie plays. Grounders burn our dead. It's the best way I know how to memorialize people.

Attn: Mount Weather. It's my six month anniversary. I realize I'm not the chummiest of guys, but that's because a) I was raised by my butler and b) I'm still waiting for one of you to try to kill me. The votes have been tallied, and I am pleased to announced that your two new Councilors are: Logan Howlett and Leia Organa. We would like to thank them for their service and cannot wait to work with them in this trying time.

In the event that either of these two disappear, the chain of command would then fall to Cassandra Pentaghast and then Susan Pevensie. It is our hope that we will never have to call upon them, but we can do nothing about that but preparations.

So, I'd talked with a few folks about broadening sabaac club to include more types of card games, so that's going to start tomorrow night. Bring whatever cards you have and come for the fun and the chance to take your mind off things. I know we've got Poker and a few other games that people know at least.

I'm pretty sure you guys are all the last ones only people from your worlds now. I really, really don't want to be mawkish with people's personal items at all, but at least in your cases where there's someone who probably knows which bits are important I'm going to see if I can put them all at the bottom of the list and focus first on the people who didn't leave anyone behind. That still puts you on a deadline unfortunately but the only other thing I can offer is someone to ask if you want help from a stranger.

Apart from that I'm going to try to make sure that any obvious personal items will be labeled and put into a separate storage area in case the owners come back. But anything you can hold onto yourselves is so much the better.

I know none of you want to deal with this, but we have to. It's been days since the mass disappearance, and we need to start putting things in storage or redistributing them. These are the things that need to happen:

Clothes need to be given to laundry services so they can be cleaned and returned to the clothing makers. (Laundry and clothing also needs volunteers to help with the workload.)

Weapons, especially guns, need to be given to the military so they can be redistributed among the soldiers and the guard. Non-military people who know their way around weaponry could be useful helping them check everything over and store them properly for now.

Personal items need to be cared for, either by finding a home with someone the missing person was close to, returned to friends or family from their own reality, or put into storage to clear space in their room. If your housemate disappeared and you have items of theirs that might mean something to someone from their own world, but you don't know who those people are or if they're still around, post here to find them.

In some cases, almost everyone from a group or apartment has disappeared. Volunteers for anything in this (laundry, clothing, weapons, or going through rooms and apartments that would be neglected otherwise) are appreciated. Cleaning out empty apartments is usually difficult enough when it's just one or two.

There's something super not awesome about all your friends disappearing right after the apocalypse kidnaps you. Sorry about the lights doing the wonky thing. I was trying to find But, hey, still here, want to help. They put me in computer support, but I can do other stuff, too. Except for cooking. No one wants to eat my cooking.

Brace yourselves. This is a lot to take in here.

Mount Weather's military divisions were hit hard in the recent large wave of departures. As our reduced population does nothing to reduce the size of the area we need to protect or the size of the threats we may face, we are reorganizing, consolidating, and calling up some additional volunteers to ensure the safety of our home and its citizens.

The Soldier and Guard divisions have been merged, and will share duties among three squads: Bravo, Charlie, and Echo. To maintain a 24-hour guard on Mount Weather, the Scout divisions will also be taking one shift per week, alternating days and nights. The Mapping division is being consolidated into one group, reporting to Sgt. Spock. We called up Fair Weather Friends, so you'll need to take a look at this if you've signed up for the position.

Is this another one of those freaky visions? Cause I don't think it's a me bad thing or a Buffy bad thing and plus she kind of kicked that demony ass, so there should be no more with the visions.

But that still sounds more real than the whole you were abducted (probably by aliens, right?) and stuck in a pod and dropped from the sky and PS welcome to the actual apocalypse.

Also, hi, I'm Willow. I ramble sometimes, like now when things are really really weird and, okay, shutting up now.

So like, since I'm assuming we're preparing for battle, is this where the end-of-game/movie montages happen and everyone gets laid? Because seriously, think about it. The night or day before any major suicide mission/battle/fight whatnot, you know you've had some kind of life-affirming moment. It's the oldest trope in the book.

I've done a quick and dirty map program that runs on the tablets to keep track of where everyone is, since we only have a very few telepaths. Eight different coloured markers that can be dragged around to represent different types of unit, black borders are the enemy, white borders are ours. Shapes to represent numbers (circle - triangle - square - star - increasing numbers of sides, someone who can actually see what's out there can figure out roughly how many each should mean). You can double tap on a marker to put a flag on it with extra information if necessary. They should all sync to each other when information changes but there might be a bit of a lag, maybe thirty seconds? And anyone ranked at least Major General has an extra button up the top that will let them block people from making changes if that becomes necessary for any reason.

Let me know if there are any bugs or it needs extra features or even if it isn't suited at all.

Alright, I need to see what I can do to rig up a karaoke machine.

It's been a while since I read the books, but I remember that she managed to send Aslan out of Narnia for a long time. I don't remember if they ever said where she sent him, though. I expect we'd be easier to banish from this world, seeing as we're not Aslan, but possibly harder, too, because this world isn't Narnia. I've noticed that people's magical powers haven't always worked properly here.

Alright, all of the cool kids are probably still playing cards, but I have to stay off my foot another couple days and I'm already going stir-crazy. Got my entire collection of holovids from home in the Pod giving thing a few days ago, I tinkered with BB-8 a little and improved his holoprojector, I'm turning this room into a theatre. Who wants to watch Captain Rygaen's Ploy? Or... hm, let's see. Sacrifice at Endo- No that's Scrivner's Revenge, one of my favorites. I've got Kallea's Hope's to go with it, too.


I have Han Solo and the Pirates of Kessel, too. OH and Luke Skywalker and the Dragons of Tatooine. Classic.


Who's in?

So I know I dropped the ball on cult classic movies when Jack left, and now there's sabacc on Wednesday nights. Is there interest in keeping showing them, and if so should it be,

a) a different night,
b) still Wednesday after dinner,
or c) Wednesday, but timed so people can do both?

There seems to be more about the early stages like identifying the location for the rift than for the actual method of prising it open.
