Q&A with Alison Hendrix
Well, I think it's important to remember that we're all valued, and that we all contribute to this community. The military have already established themselves as leaders out of necessity, and in the wake of crisis we naturally tend to look at them for help — but because of that, they're already in leadership positions, in a different way. Having two military-minded representatives not only sends the wrong message to the Sky People about what we value, it over-represents military interest. The military should and will still function as it does, and its leaders will naturally rise up and take charge, but when it comes to government, when it comes to being a voice for the people, I don't think we need two soldiers.
