Katniss's eyes narrowed a little at being called 'dear child', but she didn't say anything. It was really strange, in this place, to be so anonymous. For the most part, she liked it. No one knew her face, no one wanted her to do anything for them, no one was trying to manipulate her by holding her loved ones over her head. Best of all, no one stopped her from going into the woods — in fact, they encouraged it.
Well, up until the point she'd ended up in a wheelchair, at least. But she was going to head back out there the minute she was better enough to move, whether they liked it or not.
