To say that Rose was becoming impatient was an understatement. She was quite sure that the time the Doctor said he'd see her soon, Rose hadn't been able to sit down longer than a few minutes. The excitement was just too great. Not only was the Doctor here, but it was a Doctor that she recognized. The face that she favoured above all the others. Of course any Doctor would have been welcomed, but she couldn't deny the satisfaction that she felt when she saw it was her Doctor. As much as she enjoyed what little investigating she had done with Mickey while they were here, she instantly felt better knowing that she could pass the reigns onto someone with more experience. Not only that, but had a natural talent for solving mysteries. Rose managed to take a seat on the sofa, but she could hardly sit still. She wondered how much longer he was going to be. She understood of course, so many people to say hello to. Not to mention future companions, that no doubt he would be eager to meet. When her thoughts turned to them, she could feel the fear in the pit of her stomach. There had been questions, ones that she was afraid to ask because she didn't want to know the answer. The Doctor had mentioned her, to her surprise to future companions, but no word as to what happened to have Rose stop traveling with him. If what Mickey said was true, if Rose did reunite with the Doctor once again, why wouldn't she continue traveling with him? If Rose found her way back to him, there was no force on Earth that would make her not want to be by his side. Rose expected she would find out the truth sooner or later. Something about the Doctor did seem strange when they spoke. Or perhaps that was her own fears projecting, and maybe it wasn't as bad as it seemed. No matter what the answer, he was here now, and she wanted nothing more than to give him a hug. |
