The tape was gone, but Nathan had watched it before he'd destroyed it. He knew who was responsible, and by speaking to Gold, he'd confirmed that the car was at the house. It was only a matter of time before it was used. He didn't even need to keep an eye on the house. The minute that the race had been reported over police radios, he'd gotten into his car and headed over to the mansion.
Sure enough, the bug was missing. That meant all he had to do was wait for it to come back.
He was in the shadow beside the shed, his car parked around the corner so as not to arouse any suspicion. When the car pulled up, he waited for the door to open and footsteps to come towards him, and then stepped out into the moonlight.
"Evening, Neal." He glanced over at the car. "Having a fun night?"
