The nickname was close enough to his old titles that it left Lucifer with an odd feeling. Despite that, his face turned towards the warm summer sun overhead, warming himself. He had left his suit jacket in the mountain and the white dress shirt was open at the neck and the sleeves rolled up.
He couldn't help the smile that spread across his features, a lightness to his entire being.
"Mmmm... Well done, Gabriel..." He said, his voice smooth and kind, with no ulterior motive for once. He liked this angel, wanted to keep him close, even if something twisted inside him occasionally when they were together.
"Shall we go for a swim? I don't think there's any cabana boys here to fetch drinks."
