Who: Draco Malfoy and Ginny Weasley
What: A random meeting of snarkiness and sarcasm
When: Today, early evening
Warnings: Beware the snark and sarcasm. You've been warned!
Never in a million years he'd thought he'd be meeting with someone like Ginny Weasley for a drink. When he'd first seen Potter show up again, the first thought that went through Draco's mind was that great, he'd have to start all over again and what was the point. He'd been making headway with Granger and his aunt Andromeda, but then they just up and disappeared. Just like Potter had before them. Disappeared, only to remember Draco just exactly as he'd been at the end of the battle of Hogwarts. Granted, it wasn't that far from now for him; it was far enough. He knew more. He'd gotten to know them all in a different setting.
Ironically enough, he'd found a familiar attitude in someone like Ginny Weasley. He could appreciate her sarcasm and wit for what it was, having missed that sort of interaction with the lack of Slytherins around. Most others were far too good-hearted and good-natured for Draco to deal with, but she could meet his witty remarks par for par. She'd been a constant when everything else was changing and, when Draco heard of the challenges she also was having with Potter reappearing, the least he could do was buy her a drink. Who knew what else would come of it?
Wearing casual slacks and a black jumper, Draco found them a table not that far from the back of the tavern for privacy. He'd selected it carefully, more for her than for him, so she could speak freely if she wanted to or needed to. He'd wait for her to arrive to order something, because he didn't know her that well, at least.
