[Action Log]
Who; Setsuki and Tsu
What; Singles Awareness Day
When; February 14th
Where; Begins outside of Setsuki's class
Warnings; IDK.

Setsuki was exceptionally tired after her classes ended. Chemistry almost found her sleeping during lab, which would have been more of a disaster than usual. It was probably all the chocolate she'd been eating. Was it? Could you get tired from eating too much chocolate? Setsuki didn't know.

She'd sent off bundles of the stuff to Hayato, Makoto, Tsu, Max, Shingari, Nathaniel...and all the other people she happened to run into on a near-daily basis. Though it seemed as if recently she hadn't been running into anyone. Or maybe they were just busy...she knew Makoto was, but she tried to never expect too much from him. Not in that way, anyway. He was hard enough on himself that he didn't need her pitching in on that, but hopefully he would like the chocolate. Hopefully they all would.

Waiting until the classroom was empty as she usually did, Setsuki hooked Ernest up to his harness and pushed her laptop carefully into her bag. Earphones were wound carefully into their proper pouch, and once she made sure she hadn't forgotten anything, Setsuki set off to mediate between the chairs and tables.

The door opened automatically for her after a soft swoosh. After a short pause to cover a yawn, Setsuki allowed herself to be pulled off in some direction by her unusually excited dog.

Tsukasa sulked a little and shifted on shifted on his spot outside Setsuki's classroom door. He wasn't heartbroken--not really. (Okay, maybe, really.) He should have expected it. After all, his girls seemed to love everyone and anyone and people loved them, so why did he stupidly assume he was any different from the rest of them? The fact was--he wasn't.

And maybe Seika was right. They were family, even if they weren't blood related. He supposed they might as well be for all that Seika has reacted.

Gah, why hadn't he fallen for Kei-chan instead? (Oh, god, he never would; the kid was jailbait. Now and forever, as far as Tsu was concerned.)

He shifted again, antsy as the door opened and Ernest trotted out, followed by Setsuki. 'Tsuki-chan wouldn't reject him, too, would she? Well... at least he could count on Ernest, he thought, as the dog bounded for him.

He grinned and silently gestured for the dog to shush and calm down. Then sidestepping Ernest (but not before a quick pat on the head), he ruffled her hair and said, "Hey, Munchkin~ You wanna spend Singles' Awareness Day with me??"

"Tsu!" Setsuki called out delightedly, glad that it was him and not someone else that Ernest decided to get excited over. Her dog's feelings were fickle, but for once he'd gotten it right. Tsukasa was just the pick-me-up that she needed, despite the questions she had on his behaviors toward her sister. That could wait. As long as he wanted to see her, and hang out with her, Setsuki couldn't have been happier.

Well, she could of, but she wasn't the type to count her blessings and demand more.

"Ne, you were waiting for me?" She asked with a wide grin, turning toward him and smoothing out the hair that he'd recently mussed. Putting a careful hand on his opposite shoulder, she gave him a pat. "Mou, you shouldn't call it that, Tsukasa-nii," Setsuki said. "That's very pessimistic. But of course I want to spend Valentine's Day with you!"

She hadn't had any plans, and though she had decided early on that she was going to make sure that everyone was doing the things they should be for their loved ones (mostly Makoto, because Hayato said that he failed and though she didn't know the specifics of that, being proactive was always a good choice), she could just send voice mails out. And she'd been worried about Tsukasa anyway, so this was better than how she'd thought the day would go initially.

"What are we going to do?"

"But it's so much more fun to call it that," Tsu protested as he slung an arm around her slim shoulders. "You get more chocolate because people feel sorry for you and all~ It's not pessimistic at all! It's actually quite ingenious, if I do say so myself."

He felt better already, what with Setsuki's delight in seeing him. It was all right, he thought, someone wanted to see him. Whatever happened, he had Setsuki and Ernest with him. He was probably going to avoid Seika for the time being, just until he hurt a little less--then it would be easier to pull a smile and act as if all was right in the world.

Pulling Tsuki closer so she was snug against him, he dragged the duo off in the direction of (of course) Starbucks. "We are going to Starbucks~ They have Valentine's Day specials and stuff today~ Yummy, yummy cakes~ And then," he continued, "we're going to do whatever you want."

And at the end of the day, he would surprise her with a little gift. This would be a happy, happy day for them both, he'd decided earlier. The Best Day Ever.

"You don't want people pitying you, that's horrible!" Setsuki said, though there was no condemning aspect to it, and it was said with a laugh. "Mouuuu...if you want chocolate, I'll give you more~ Did you get my package?" It hadn't been anything spectacular--Setsuki couldn't cook and make the kind of chocolates that her father had described other girls making for boys in Japan, but she'd at least selected some that she thought were tasty. Most of her chocolate intake for the day had been the taste testing she'd done.

"I'm going to get fat," Setsuki complained happily, one arm going around Tsu's waist as they walked disjointedly down toward Starbucks. Though it sounded like a protest, Setsuki would probably never have denied Tsu his Starbucks. Everyone here loved it, including Hayato, Makoto and herself, but Tsu was terribly addicted. As a friend, Setsuki knew she should probably help him get rid of that addiction, but she couldn't force herself to break his habit.

"Hey, I saw that you're going to sign up for Makoto's thing..." she said once they were underway. She wanted to go, but how could she ever help? Sometimes even the station felt too big for her. Besides, Makoto had already said...I don't want you to..., just the same as Setsuki expected he'd said to her Nee-san and Hayato. Perhaps that was why Hayato was so upset...

"Tsuki-chan," Tsukasa chided teasingly, "You're supposed to milk events like this for all it's worth!! It's not exactly pity, it's... mooching. Mooching!! Em-double-O-CHING!" He shook her gently after every word to make his point, as if doing so would then shake his ideas into her head. "It's like with people being extra nice to you because you're a cutie! That's right, Ernest!" he said when the dog agreed with him.

He mused her hair again. "I did get your package though, THANK YOU! It was chocolate with a bang of color! Cool! Quirky! Artsy! Talk about getting fat though…" He made a useless gesture to the Heavens, taking a moment to thank God for his fast metabolism (even if he didn't believe in Him, the nuns did, so he supposed that counted for something…). "Don't worry, don't worry, the station's rigorous training program will keep it off—probably."

He paused in his long, hyper dialogue to push them into the buzzing café, feeling that familiar burst of excitement he always felt when close to Starbucks. (Surprising how the routine never got old.) The place was busy, especially on today of all days, and every table seemed full—but the perks of being a familiar face to the workers was that he could always reserve a spot for himself. That was what he liked about Starbucks: they rewarded their customers.

He gently ushered Setsuki into the reserved table, flashing the workers a grin of thank-you (and getting smiles and nods in return), before sitting himself across from her.

"I did," Tsu continued, tilting his head to study her intently, "sign up for Makoto's thing. Why, you wanna go too, hun'?" He shrugged—to himself because what good would it be to shrug to Tsuki? "I don't see why you can't." He paused at his wording. "Welllll, I guess I do, huh. But then again, when have you ever let that stop you? Me, I'm not that good of a fighter. I probably shouldn't even be here. Can I even spell the word 'military'? I think not. But—I think I can help with other things, little things, y'know? And that's all that matters. What's that saying? —If there's a will, there's a way. Everyone can help in their own way… Of course, I'd like you to stay out of danger, but what can I say, you're a big, little girl, 'n you've got me and Ernest and Makoto with you. So, yeah, why not?"
