Why did you apply to Tempus Fugit, and what do you feel you can bring to the game?: I really liked the premise of the game and I want to come back to RPing badly. It seemed like the right game to come back to. I can bring Mandy to the game, simply. I've felt a pull toward Mandy and felt that I had a good hold of her. I hope to bring my writing and creativity to the game.
Previous RP experience: I've been RPing for around 5 years or so, maybe a little less. I've only played at Greatest Journal but I quit about a year and a half ago because I got busy. I miss it a lot though and want to get back into it. I've also played a wide range of characters, the Patil twins, Hermione, Ginny, Lily, Alice (Longbottom), Pansy, Daphne, Mandy, Alecto, Lisa, Katie, Angelina, and Lavender to name a few. I've never got the courage to play a guy because I don't think I would do it well and I don't want to be terrible at it.

Family interactions: Mandy's family gets along for the most part. In the beginning Oliver didn't want any children but it was the only thing Abigail wanted. SO Oliver wanting to make his wife happy ended up having two children, both boys. This suited Oliver as much as it could, if he had to have children at least they were boys, he could relate to his own sex. At the age of 40 for Abigail became pregnant one last time. It was a huge surprise and not exactly unwanted, well not for Abigail. When the time came for Mandy to come into the world, well she was a girl, which made Oliver more unhappy. He never accepted Mandy and never really gave her the father experience. Mandy is closer than close with her mother and brothers but when it comes to her father she is a bit bitter.
Occupation: Mandy works for the Ministry in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures in the Spirit Division.
Residence: Mandy lives in a flat on her own in Muggle London, though it's a little big for just her and is beginning to think that she needs to get a roommate.
Financial status: Mandy is Upper Middle-Class. Her job does well enough to support her and her family was well off and help support Mandy from time to time. This raises Mandy's financial status just a little.
Political views: Mandy is standing on the side of the Separatist Liberals. She doesn't think that integrating completely is a good idea now, maybe in the future. Even though the Wizarding world has come along way she thinks it should be as stable as possible before integration. She thinks that the prejudice needs to be eased up on but also believes that muggles may either take advantage of the Wizarding world and the magic or rebel against it.
Blood Status: Mandy is Half-Blood. Her mother is a Muggle-born and her father was Pure-blooded.

Give us a description of your character's appearance: Mandy never really considered herself a pretty girl. She always was a tomboy never really wearing make-up or dolling herself up. She's average height standing at 5'5" and a has a petite frame. Mandy may be a little too skinny for her height but she eats like a horse just doesn't gain weight. Though
Mandy's afraid all the extra food will catch up to her hips one day. She isn't well endowed but isn't lacking either. Mandy has light, mousy blonde hair sometimes looking blonde. She keeps it at a length a little past her shoulders and it's thin but she has a lot of it. She hates her eyebrows because it's they are really long and sometimes they look darker then her hair, and that really bothers her. Mandy has blue eyes that stick out against her dark hair, they have a darker grey circle around them as well. This is probably her favorite feature on herself if she had to pick one. She has a button like nose, skinny at the top and widens at the end. Mandy has rosy cheeks that circle up when she smiles. Her lips are thinner but not pencil thin and a dark pink color.
Give us a description of your character's personality: Mandy is blunt to put it in one word. She says what everyone is thinking but won't say, especially in awkward situations. This tends to get her in trouble from time to time because sometimes her comments are inappropriate. If something is on her mind she will voice it to anyone around her unless it affects her emotionally. If it has to do with the way she's feeling she normally covers it in sarcasm and doesn't talk about it with mostly anyone. Mandy can't deal with death at all (again if it affects her) and ignores it as much as she can or will end up making a joke about it. She tries not to cry around other people unless she's 100% comfortable and it ends up happening. Normally though she cries in private and if she's caught she ignores the situation.
Mandy is really friendly. She makes friends easily and is loyal to the enth degree with those friends. She cares about other people's feelings probably more then she does her own. She wants everyone else to be happy and tries to keep it that way. She happens to be the voice of reasoning in the time of panic and tries to control everything. Though if you're rude to her she'll be just as rude back. She can probably make enemies just as easily as friends, though she doesn't go out of her way to make them.
Mandy's worst traits are probably that she is indecisive, to the point where she panics when she needs to make a choice. She never wants to make the wrong decision. It's over everything to if she's going out to eat with her mother and she wants Mandy to pick she can't do it. On top of that she can't deal with stress at all it makes her stress out more. Not other people's stress just her own. The last bad trait is that she doesn't quite know how to have fun. She didn't have a lot of fun when she was in school and she doesn't know how now that she's out.

Mandy was born on March 23, 1980. She was quite a surprise to the house hold being ten years younger then the last child the Brocklehursts had and Abigail, the mother of the house was forty years of age. Mandy was a happy baby, always smiling and very quite. She was quite honestly the baby that Abigail always wanted but the baby that Oliver, the father never wanted. So Mandy was seen as a blessing and a curse all at the same time. Mandy's older brothers took the fatherly role instead.
Mandy was a tomboy from the start, she thinks it was Calvin and Nathan's intention. They never really let her play with her dolls always snatching her up and bringing her outside to climb trees or play quidditch, once she got old enough. Her mother dressed her up in dresses and did her hair all the time and Mandy did enjoy it but then she would just go outside and get dirt all over herself.
Hogwarts was always on Mandy's mind. Her brothers were always there from since she could remember. She always wanted to go with them and play and learn magic. Both of her brothers had been done with school by the time it was Mandy's turn but it was finally her turn. Hogwarts lived up to all the stories she heard and it seemed to be the best time of her life. Mandy was sorted into Ravenclaw which made her mother very happy. Abigail was in Ravenclaw and Oliver was in Slytherin along with both of the boys. Everything about Mandy was like her mother. Mandy made friends quickly and tried really hard at her schooling. She was good at all of her classes and got decent OWLS and NEWTS. Mandy stood up for her cause in the war joining Dumbledore's Army and fighting when needed, as well as she could.
After Hogwarts Mandy moved to London near the Ministry and started to look for a job. She ended up joining the Ministry and got a job in the Spirit Division. It was a pretty laid back job dealing with the ghosts of the
Wizarding world. Her division became much more interesting after the war when the dead started coming back alive at the ripe of their lives and not ghosts. This was considered Spirit Division because they were once dead, even though they aren't spirits now. Mandy now spends a lot of time at her work more then she had before.
This now leaves Mandy in a flat too big for just her, a job that consumes her life, and lonely. She hasn't spent time with her friends from school in too long or had any fun since she got out of school. And this is why Mandy got her journal.
Plotting
What short and long term goals do you have for your character?: Short term, Mandy wants to find a room mate, learn how to have fun, get in touch with her friends, make her father accept her before his death and maybe get a pet. Long term, she wants to get married and have kids, move into a house not a flat, and secretly Mandy wants to quit her job at the Ministry and maybe own a Wizarding book store.
How does your character feel about the post-war world?: Mandy thinks that it's not the right time for the Wizarding world to open up to muggles. The war has ended but they are still rebuilding their world. Now the dead is reappearing and that might be hard to explain to muggles. With the Wizarding world not completely rebuilt since the war Mandy is afraid that the opening of it to muggles might make it more unstable. As for the punishment of the Death Eaters she is on the fence. Mandy knows that they deserve punishment she just isn't sure what punishment yet.
Writing Example:
It was around 8 pm and Mandy was still at work. She was sitting at her desk filing through paperwork but she wasn't sure that she could read anymore. She took off her reading glasses set them down and rubbed her eyes. When she opened her eyes her boss was standing by her desk, "Go home Mandy, you look like you're done for the day." Mandy nodded said thanks and said that she would see him on Monday.
Mandy grabbed her glasses put them in her purse and apparated home. She popped into her bedroom set her purse down and jumped on to her bed staring at the ceiling. She laid there for around ten minutes finally decided that she needed to do something. Mandy changed into a pair of jeans and a white tank top, grabbed her purse and apparated to The Leaky Cauldron.
Mandy sat down at a table in the back peering through the smoky interior. She ordered a butterbeer needing something light to drink and grabbed Dracula out of her purse and began to read.
