The novels for this game arrived yesterday along with the collector's edition of the guide book and what a nice book it is indeed. Mainly for all the history of the world stuff that is in the back, I love world building and seeing how much effot went into creating the game world fills me with joy espically as a lot of the stuff in here wasn't used in the game at all.Like what the different noble title mean and how they come about as well as a history timeline. Anyone planing to write fanfic for this game whould really love the amount of background info on the world in genral.

The book itself is hardback and has really good quality paper, the game guide is well written and the concept art in the back is beautiful. Really looking forward to using it in my next playthrough.

On a sidenote I finished playing through Sherlock Holmes and in the end I have to say I really enjoyed it. The banter between Holmes and Watson really made this game as well as the fan in jokes like Holmes complaing that everyone seems to think he wears a deerstalker all the time.

So, cleaning out my purse for the first time in...a long time, I found two fic fragments, and I don't know if I ever typed them in/posted them, and in the case of the second, I can't remember which universe it was in, though it seems like something I should have talked about. (The first is clearly a sequel to the fic in which Angelo found Marcello in Pickham.)

I think it's sad that I have to rely on other people to remember what the hell I've written, to be honest. But there you go.

20% off downloadable patterns! So I broke down and finally bought the pattern for the Bacchus Socks I've been eyeing forever. Now I just need to convert the pattern to magic loop, since that appears to be the only way I like to knit socks. And get a 2mm circular needle.

Finally finished up the last of the Xmas shopping though still need to pick up a couple of small bits for the husband.
Also got a few things for myself including the first season of True Blood, a load of books and some stuffed toys. These being a Mammoth, a Sabre-toothed Tiger and a Vampire Bat. Very cool indeed.
Am dead tried now though as I'm really not used to walking round the city, we used to go there every month now we hardly go at all. *sigh*

Finished my second playthrough of Dragon Age and I think this one went a lot better then the first one as I got a lot more of the side quests done then I did the first time around. I also liked the ending a bit more it seemed a little bit happier then the first one. Next time round I'm gonna make all the worse choices possable to unlock some more of the achivments just to see how things play out that way.

But first I'm gonna try out Sherlock Holmes Vs Jack The Ripper. It seems like a pretty good game so far apart from the fact that the voice acting is some of the worst I've heard in a long time. The other thing that's a little off putting is that all the townfolk seem to have escaped from Innsmouth in the Call Of Cthulhu on the first Xbox. It's really creepy. That said it's a pretty addictive game as you want to see what happens next.

Nicly they have used the actual reports etc that were made at the time of the Jack The Ripper murders and I can't help but wonder who they are gonna paint as the murderer in this version.

Somehow, the Friday the 13th DVDs I ordered on the 23rd, shipped on the 24th and arrived today. And they managed that with Super Saver shipping (because I'm cheap). Dude! :D

I thought the "Lewis Vendredi made a deal with the devil..." opening lasted through season two; I'm sad they cut it on the DVDs.

I wish Rashid had been in more than two episodes. He was awesome.

You know that Christian side hug thing I linked to earlier? Well, my brain refuses to remember the actual lyrics, beyond, "Gimme that Christian side hug," but I'm earwormed by the beat...so I'm afraid I'm coming up with alternate rhymes for "side hug", like "self love" and "butt plug". I am quite sure this sullies the purity of their white boy gangsta rap about how they're such sexual deviants they can't even hug someone without being uncontrollably turned on.

My lyrics do make about as much sense. The last round went, "I'm a rough rider/with a Jesus butt plug/So gimme that Christian side hug/ 'cause I practice self love."

Edit: It dawns on me that apparently, Fundie boys are all Edward Cullen, terrified they will be overwhelmed by Bella Swan's outrageous flavor.* See what repression gets you?

And you know, I love knitting, but this is a LOT of work (not to mention the OMG WON'T FINISH ON TIME! panic). It's kind of making me feel guilty for all the times I've asked to have something written/drawn/made for me, instead of just telling people to drop ten bucks on a gift card from Amazon or Knitpicks.

(On a related note, I have things for people from that meme at the start of the year, and I am SO FAILING at getting them packed up and mailed out. Bad Dragovian. Bad.)
