Part One
“Damn it!” Sanzo cursed as he rose from the bed to a sitting position, throwing the sheets off of himself angrily. There was no way that he was going to get any decent amount of sleep with all that groaning and panting from the room next door. Why did the walls in this inn have to be so thin?
The group of four had battled yet another mob of demons earlier in the evening on their way to this town, leaving the already tired men in much need of rest. Renting four single rooms for the night, Sanzo had taken the largest one. But unfortunately, a pair of newlyweds had rented the room next door.
Sanzo buried his head in his hands as the noises began to crescendo. “Why did I have to take a room next to a bunch of perverts?” he muttered to himself. “How much longer are they going to keep at it? I should have given this room to Gojyo. He would have loved to listen to those two.”
The monk shifted on the bed as his pants gradually began to feel tighter. His face flushed, he couldn’t deny the fact that the sound of the activity next door was having an effect on him. The room felt so warm suddenly. Cursing, Sanzo rose from the bed, strolling toward the door after deciding to go outside for a smoke. He slammed the wooden door behind him, having no apparent effect on the passionate noises in the next room. Maybe by the time he came back, the couple would have finally exhausted themselves and gone to sleep.
Once outside, Sanzo sat on the stairs, plucking a cigarette from the pack in his robes and lighting up. He sucked the heated smoke into his lungs, holding it before exhaling. At least there was one craving that he could satisfy properly, he thought sullenly. But it wasn’t as though he really wanted what the pair back upstairs had, was it?
He heard footsteps on the wooden porch and cut his eye at whoever was intruding on his solitude. It was Gojyo, who was leaning on the porch railing, looking down at him with a cigarette hanging from his lips.
“Can’t sleep, Sanzo-sama?” the redhead drawled, smiling.
“No, not with that bunch of perverts upstairs going at it. I’m surprised that they haven’t woken the whole building up with that racket.” He took another drag from his cigarette, the heat in his lungs taking some of the edge off of the heat in his gut.
“You have no idea what you’re missing,” Gojyo informed him, smiling knowingly. Why did the redhead always have to wear that same leering grin when he looked at him? Sanzo shifted where he sat, wishing that he had relieved the ache in his groin before coming outside.
“I’d expect you to say something like that,” Sanzo replied, his voice edged with bitterness.
“Hmm,” Gojyo remarked, his boots sounding on the steps as he descended them to sit on the porch near the other man. “I think that you’re a little jealous.”
“Of course not! Don’t be stupid,” Sanzo snapped, frowning.
“Seriously, have you ever even been with anyone before?” Gojyo asked as he turned toward him, leaning a little closer to the other man. “Aren’t you even a little curious after all this time?”
“I didn’t come out here to listen to your rambling,” Sanzo answered, avoiding both questions as he puffed on his cigarette. Narrowing his eyes, he gave the redhead a sidelong glance. “Are you offering or something?” He had intended the remark to be snide, but it came off tinged with interest.
There was a flash of white teeth as red eyes sparkled. “Maybe,” Gojyo answered, “if you’re interested. I’d be willing to satisfy your curiosity.” He watched the blonde frown before turning to stare off into the night before him. Was the man seriously considering it?
Not wanting to miss the opportunity to obtain something much longed for, Gojyo continued. “Come on, Sanzo-sama,” he drawled, edging close enough to drape an arm loosely around his shoulder. He was encouraged by the fact that the monk didn’t try to dislodge him. “I’ve seen the way you look at me sometimes. I could show you a good time. Why not indulge just this once? You’re already as much of a heretical priest as anyone could get. Is it so much to cross that last line?”
Sanzo turned to face him, his expression schooled to be stern, but by the look in stormy violet eyes, Gojyo knew that he had just gotten his wish.
