Summary: Contains some spoilers for the manga circa chapter 90-91. An offer is made that Allen has difficulty refusing.
Trapped in the room of the Ark that the Earl intended to make their tomb, Allen and the other exorcists watched as the swindler he’d recognized from the train transformed before them. Allen’s eyes narrowed as he watched pale skin darken and a row of black crosses rise to emblazon themselves onto the man’s forehead. The Noah’s eyes opened, exposing golden irises as they fixed themselves onto Allen, the same wicked smile that the teen could hardly forget spreading across his features.
“You!” Walker exclaimed in angry disbelief. His left arm twitched as if it remembered what the Noah had done to it.
“You’re looking for an exit from this place aren’t you?” he asked, tossing a golden key up into the air and catching it. “I just so happen to know of one.”
The group of exorcists gasped as an ornate structure rose noisily from the ground behind the Noah. Allen recognized it as the door that Rhode had disappeared through after their confrontation in the rewinding town.
“I’ll let you borrow the key to it,” Tiki told them, toying with the small object in one hand, “But it does come with a price.”
Kanda’s hand moved to rest on the hilt of his katana as he moved into a ready stance. “And what price would that be?”
Tiki smirked. “Just a friendly little game, with the key going to the winner.” He gazed in Allen’s direction. “But only one of you is invited, I’m afraid.”
Allen stepped forward. “Are you looking for a rematch?” he asked, “Because you’ll find that the outcome will be much different than before.” Tiki’s resultant smirk only served to anger him.
He rushed toward Tiki despite a call for caution from Rabi. The man dodged the exorcist’s attempts with little effort. To Allen’s surprise and annoyance, Tiki continued to make no moves to attack him, on his own accord or with his hungry golem.
“This isn’t exactly what I had in mind,” Tiki told the exorcist after a few moments as if put upon, flipping backwards over Allen’s extending arm to land in front of Rhode’s door.
“I didn’t think that you’d try to run away from me,” Allen told him, approaching quickly to launch another slashing attack.
“I’m not looking to run,” Tiki told him, making no moves to dodge the coming blow. “I just think that a little privacy would be nice.”
The Noah shifted to the side at the last moment, Allen’s strike missing him by inches. Tiki grasped the surprised exorcist’s arm as the doors behind them opened with a rush of air. Pulling the teen flush against his form, Tiki spun, the two of them passing into the darkness beyond.
“Allen!” Rabi shouted, but after only taking a few steps, the double doors closed and the structure vanished from view.
