T-31 And Counting....Bang!

All righty then, there have been no new prompts in several months. This leads me to the conclusion that this little venture has petered out. So, I have two options, shut'er down, or change the format.

I can't and won't change the fact that the challenge takes 31 days. I like that limit, it's the name of the asylum, and I'm priggish about this. What I will change, however, is how the challenge is presented.

A show of hands, who is in favor of having a normal mini-big bang challenge? By that, I mean you sign up, write whatever you want as long as it's 5000 words long, and then post on the last day of the challenge. There would be no prompts post, so no prompts to choose from. You, the author, just pledge to write a 5000 word fic, and then present it to us when done.

So, what say you, shut it down, or try a regular old mini-big bang? You have three days to respond or I default and lock this place up tight.

Is anyone ready to post their story today?

Due to lack of prompts, I am extending the deadline for prompts submission by a few more days. If you have any ideas, please, share them on the prompts post.

I am here to see if there is interest in another round. It's been a while since anyone participated in this thing. Signing up is all well and good, but I want to know if anyone has any intentions of actually finishing a fic. If so, I will run another round, if not, I'll mothball this asylum until I have time to write in a round myself. I will give ya'll three days.

It's that time again. It has been 2 months since we last tried this. Has there been any change?

Is there any interest in a round of T-31....Bang? Respond here if yes.

Since there is now no eleventh round of the asylum, I am leaving the prompts open for anyone to take. Any length of fic will be accepted. Just be sure to post the fic here when you finish.

Will there be a twelfth round? Most likely not. It's been a wonderful go, and I'm certain somebody some where will get a lot of joy out of the stories posted here.

There is a list of authors works who do not want their fandoms to write fanfic in. I have posted that list to our info to let people know. However you feel about their decision, we will respect their request.

No, I was not contacted by them, a representative, or a concerned citizen. This was a preemptive step taken by me to prevent any of our writers from having to deal with the headache. In other words, let's stomp that ember before it can set a fire.

Now, as far as I know, no one here has posted anything in those fandoms. I ask that we keep it that way.

Aside: I once wrote an entire series of stories featuring part of LKH's verse in them. When I learned she was telling people to stop, I edited her crap out of my stories. If there's an author out there who's so self conscious of their work, then who am I to offend?

A consensus of writers has come up with a wonderful thing.

Five months ago, we started this asylum with the idea of creating a mini-big bang that produced stories of length in the short term. With three posting participants, we have done this consistently for five rounds. Now, heading in to our sixth round, we are looking to do this once more.

To show that we are, indeed, accomplishing something, I have done a tally.

Seventeen stories have produced a total in excess of 104,000 words.

On behalf of the moderator staff, I thank you so very much. Your wonderful stories have contributed to make this asylum a success. Without your effort, this would be just another failed endeavor.

Prompt submissions for round six are now open.

Prompts acceptance begins October 18th and last until October 24th.

There is no limit to how many prompts you may post. Any fandom, any pairing will be accepted.

What is not accepted: Chan (Sex Underage of 15), Scat, Urine Play, or Script Format.

All prompts will be screened. Midnight, October 25th, all prompts on this post will be gathered in one post for sign-ups.

Remember: All unclaimed prompts from the last round will be added to this one.


Due to the fact I took on a virus and had to my hard drive wiped, I am restarting Round 6 from the beginning. All prompts submitted to the original post will go on to the Round 6 along with the unanswered prompts from Round 5. You will have seven days starting from now to post your prompts for Round 6. Our schedule will follow normally after that.

Round 6 is hearby put on hiatus.

My computer has a virus, and unless my co-mod is able, we are going on hiatus until I get it fixed.

Next sign-up post, due to size, will not be lj-cut by fandom, but by letter. All fandoms in the A category will be behind the A lj-cut. Bs behind the B lj-cut. So on and so forth.
