Rules. The mod is Jen. Any and all questions may be directed either to swallowedhate@gmail.com. If you need more immediate attention please don't hesitate to contact Jen via IM at The Redival. She has no life (kidding) and would be delighted to help you out. Just have a little patience, sometimes she's in class.
1: Players must be 18 or older to join this game. This is a horror game that will contain violent, disturbing, and mature themes. By applying you are confirming that you are eighteen or older.
2: This is a drama free zone. We expect our players to be able to sort out their differences like mature adults and to treat each other respectfully. Do not nitpick, insult, or otherwise cause drama with the mod or your fellow players.
3: Respect the line between IC (In Character) and OOC (Out of Character). Characters and players are to be treated as entirely separate entities. The actions of characters should not influence the actions of players and vice versa.
4: In Character Actions mean In Character Consequences. If you do something stupid, like, say, huck your gun at Pyramid Head, bad things may and will happen. Remember that we're playing characters with realistic limitations.
5: No God-moding. Period. While there is a certain amount of lee-way with NPCs and unfilled PCs, there is to be no forcing actions onto other characters. Canon characters perceived as over-powered by the mods have had their powers toned down. Originals will be likewise monitored and warned if known to display any excessive capabilities. Remember those limitations?
6: All post in the game must be in 3rd person past tense. Use proper grammar. Do not one-line. That means you use 'She ran' and 'He ran' instead of 'I run' when writing your character. Everyone makes mistakes, within reason, but please type your posts out in a Word document if you have frequent and persistent spelling problems. The idea is to be easily understood. Purple prose will get you blank stares just as much as horrible or nonexistent grammar.
7. Please do not friends lock (flock, FO) your posts. Please don't do this unless they contain contact information, friends adds, or other OOC information of a sensitive nature. It is unlikely that someone is going to steal your writing. However, if you've had problems in the past, please do not hesitate to talk it over with the mod. I can be reasonable.
8. Functioning AIM accounts are NOT required. However, they are very convenient for logging, and AIM logs will be considered proof of activity when posted.
9. You are required to have contributed to a log or thread at least once every two weeks. This means a SIGNIFICANT contribution. One post every two weeks does not count. If you expect an absense, inform the mods. If we notice an absense, we will inform you. Also please post to the OOC com is you are expecting an absense for any length of time that would prevent you from a meaningful contribution to the community.
10. Please consult the mods and any players involved before doing anything drastic. Plot changes, character deaths, major injuries, pregnancies, rape, and such things cause a great many plans to go ary, and require that all players involved give consent, and the mod gives permission. Ask; don't apologize.
11. Please keep PBs (play bys) plausible. Scene kids, personal pictures, and anyone not famous and easily identifiable CANNOT be used as a PB. If we can google your PB's name and get pictures and information on them any day of the week, then it's probably good. Please also make sure you chose appropriate PBs. Hillary Duff can't pass as 42. Morgan Freeman isn't 20.
