Who: Sam & the Doctor (Ten)
What: meeting, helping with the TARDIS!
When: Monday (mainly because I suck)
Where: Ten's room
Warnings: TBD, likely none.
Sam made an attempt to greet all the people that showed up on board the ship, because she liked to know who she was traveling with, but the Doctor was officially her favorite. For no other reason than the simple fact that he was the first to seem like he might actually be able to help her fix their current situation-- not that the others wouldn't try, but so far, she and the others from her world had seemed the most experience with preventing apocalypses and so on, and they'd never dealt with anything this big. She felt at a loss for where to even start saving the collapsing realities.
The Doctor, on the other hand, had ideas. Sam had thought he might have just been saying that, but she was still willing to accept the hope that he was offering. And when he also offered a logical way to start-- to get in his own ship and go and poke around in other parts of the universe to actually witness what was happening-- she was ready to volunteer immediately. It was likely dangerous, and she probably shouldn't go running off without at least telling her mother (who would probably want to come along), but first she had to help him fix his ship. Sam had a sinking feeling that it might have been messed with on purpose by a prickly AI who didn't want anyone going off on a ship other than hers, which might mean that fixing the ship would be a difficult task. One that she didn't expect to happen immediately, more to the point.
But it gave her something to do, to work on. She'd always felt better when she had a plan in mind. So she headed over to the Doctor's room, feeling energized by the simple idea of being useful. As he'd warned her, the mess in his room spilled out into the hallway a bit, leaving the door slightly ajar, but she knocked on it anyway before stepping just inside. "Doctor? It's Sam."
