Worth the Wait

When: 10.16 - Very early morning
Where: The park at the edge of the woods
Warning: NSFW
Dante had basically kicked out Max and Jayne, because the middle Lasko boy was far too distracted to be much use closing. He'd promised to close up Sunday night, just to be fair. He and Jayne had cut out pretty fast, Max deciding their plans to relive the first day they met could be done tonight. It was still raining and he headed out towards that park where they'd made love the first time.
"There's a blanket in the back seat still," he teased Jayne. Not that he didn't expect her not to be just as bold as that day. If not more so. Yeah, he was already completely hard and aching from driving in the rain alone.
Jayne had been tingling all evening. If the rain outside hadn't been enough to keep her turned on, the fact that she hadn't had her husband intimately in days and the music choices for the evening certainly had. Once they were in the car, en route to the park where they'd spent their first night together, she was finding it entirely too difficult to keep her hands off of him. She bit her lower lip at his words, unable to hide the smile that spread across her mouth. "Too bad I didn't wear the red tights," she smirked.
Yeah, because they'd never gone three or four days without sex. Even though they hadn't quite been together a month, didn't mean they hadn't had their fair share of necessary separations. Now there was no reason. He scoffed at that. "I'm not thinking about you in those red tights," he told her. "I'm thinking about you under that blanket in nothing but a smile tormenting me with your sexy." Because she didn't know that. Right.
She knew exactly what he was talking about and she couldn't help herself. Slipping out of her shoes and socks, she reached into the back for the blanket, laying it across her lap and then unbuckling her seatbelt. Pulling her shirt up and over her head, she tossed it into the back floorboard. Her bra was next, though she covered herself with the blanket and tossed the cloth into his lap like she had that first night. "Drive fast," she breathed. "Or I'm going to have to start without you."
Christ. Max let out a shaky laugh. "Go ahead," he invited just the same, shuddering as her bra landed in his lap. "I'll catch up when we get there." Because watching her start without him was ever a bad thing. Yeah, he already had goosebumps from the anticipation. Not to mention a raging, throbbing hard on.
Jayne smirked a little at him, sliding one hand beneath the blanket covering her and undoing the button and zipper of her jeans. She managed to push both the jeans and the panties beneath them down one handed, lifting her backside enough to make the action possible. Those both went into the floorboard of the backseat with her shirt before she glanced over at her husband and let her head rest back against the seat she was in. Sliding her hand beneath the blanket once more, she parted her legs, her hand brushing over the juncture between her thighs, urging a low groan from her.
"God, Jaynie," he groaned. That was even hotter than the first time. He pulled her bra out of his lap and tossed it in the back seat with the rest of her clothes, trying his damndest to watch the road enough to drive at night in the middle of nowhere. "This was a lot easier during the day," he admitted. "But I'll manage. Somehow."
"I love it when you call me 'Jaynie'," she whispered, closing her eyes and biting her bottom lip through another soft groan as she continued to tease herself beneath the blanket. She still remembered every second of that first night down to the little details and she ached to relive it, to expand upon it. Only now it would mean more. So much more. Not that it hadn't meant just as much back then. As far as Jayne was concerned, Max was her soulmate, she'd just not found him until that day.
Max let out another laugh. "I love it when you tease me until I can't see straight," he teased her. "Just not when I'm trying to drive at night. That said, do not stop." They definitely were reliving it and expanding on it. Leaving out the bad part. Not that he didn't have his gun in the car. He just wasn't drawing it unless somebody was stupid enough to bother them. There was a serial killer out there. Max wouldn't hesitate to use deadly force to protect himself and his wife. But really, that was the farthest thing from his mind.
Oh they were definitely soulmates. Not completely until they'd met each other that day. Max didn't doubt that for a second. Reliving the moments when they'd realized that, was definitely something they needed to do. Max was looking forward to it even more than he had the first time he'd been alone with Jayne in his car in the rain.
"If I keep going," she whispered, pausing to let out a soft little gasp as she opened her eyes to look at him again. "You're going to get into an accident," she teased. Imagine having to explain that one to the police officers. 'Sorry, my wife was masturbating and I got distracted'. She doubted something like that would go over well.
He had to laugh at that. "I'm a better driver than that," he told her. It wasn't as if he hadn't had to drive at night under more distracting circumstances. "Besides, you're keeping the show behind the curtain. Which means I have to use my imagination." Which wasn't a bad thing. "We're almost there. Don't worry." He'd never forget the spot, considering it was where his whole world got turned upside down.
Jayne would never forget the spot either. Her world had been turned upside down too after all. Rocked and then flipped upside down. Sometimes she could scarcely believe it was really her life, that all of the events in the last month had really taken place the way that they had. But given the choice, she'd not have it any other way. Even with her brother being a childish brat about the whole thing. "You'll be behind the curtain with me soon enough," she smiled. And god she couldn't wait.
Yeah, everything had happened crazy fast. But then, they weren't the kind of people who did things at other people's pace. Max grinned as he pulled onto the path. "You mean in the backseat with you," he corrected. "Which is definitely where I want to be right now." He let out another little chuckle, unfastening his seatbelt and pulling Jayne close with one arm. "I love you."
She didn't give a damn how fast it had happened. It was a whirlwind romance and it worked for them. She wouldn't have it any other way. Max was her husband and that was exactly what she wanted him to be. Whether that was now or ten years from now really didn't make a difference so Jayne wasn't sure what the hell waiting would really accomplish. She let him pull her against him, sliding her hand out from between her thighs. She wrapped her arms around him and caught his lips in a soft kiss. "I love you too," she breathed. "So much."
Okay, this was far enough into the park. It wasn't the exact same spot, but nobody was going to be out here in the middle of the night. He pulled off the road and made sure they weren't parked in mud, then turned in his seat to pull Jayne close for a much deeper kiss. Waiting had been pointless, Max just knew it had been right. Everything with Jayne had felt right, even when she'd torn apart his worldview and broke him completely. She'd also been there to help him pick of the pieces and find something else to live for. A girl like her didn't come along every day. True love didn't happen every day. And this was definitely true love.
It was most certainly true love. Jayne loved Max with every fiber of her being. Now and forever. She might have been young, but she knew that this was the real thing and hadn't wanted to miss out on it, even for a second. "Are you... sure you're... okay enough for this?" she breathed out in between kisses. She wanted him so badly she could nearly taste it but she didn't want to do more damage to him if he wasn't entirely recovered.
Now she had to ask that? "I'm fine," he assured Jayne. "Well, no. I want you so bad it hurts, but that is an entirely different kind of ache. Now get in the back seat so I can get undressed. You should have been back there three seconds ago." Yes, teasing her with her own words. He kissed Jayne few more times before starting to unbutton his shirt. God, it felt like it'd been forever.
Jayne couldn't help but smirk at the words of hers he used on her. Not that she minded. If anything it just amused her to know he remembered so much about that night. Boys were usually stupid and forgot things, even the important ones. Apparently men, especially ones like Max, actually listened when their significant other spoke. She slid into the backseat, spreading the blanket out over it for now and making herself comfortable. Her eyes then flicked to Max as he undressed. God, could he get more beautiful?
When she was demanding he sex her up? Yeah, Max had been listening. Especially then. But he listened to her most of the time anyway. He was the one who listened to everyone in the family and made sure their opinions and feelings got validated. Of course he treated his wife with the same consideration, if not more than his sibs. He sighed as he saw her cover up with the blanket. He wasn't going to take that long to get undressed. Really.
It had been probably 30 seconds. It'd have been less, but he'd double knotted his boot laces to make sure they stayed tied. Also he ditching his holstered pistol in the footwell. He'd been wearing it all night. Not that he had expected any trouble with that many damned cops around, but the last trip to Mercy had taught him a lesson. No going out unarmed again. Then he was over the back of the seat, pulling the blanket away to get a good look at her. "God, you're gorgeous," he groaned as he leaned down to kiss Jayne.
She grinned at him, losing the smile somewhere in the kiss but not really caring because he was kissing her and nothing else seemed to matter. God she loved his kisses. Loved the feel of his body against hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer still to her. "I could say the same about you," she murmured against his lips, sliding one hand up through his hair, gently catching a handful of his locks in her grasp.
Max chuckled at that, groaning against her lips as Jayne tugged on his hair. "Please tell me you're ready," he moaned. She could feel how turned on he was. Every second felt like an eternity since the last time they'd made love. "I love you," he murmured, shifting between her legs and pulling Jayne up close so he could feel her body pressed completely against his.
"I've been ready for days," she told him. "And turned on since your shift began," she added. God it'd been damn near impossible to get through the night with all the horny women all over their men and her husband looking delicious. Not to mention the fact that there were plenty of those horny women hitting on said husband and making her want to stake her claim. Now she'd get to. Finally. "I love you," she murmured in response, sliding her legs just a little further apart for him.
"Me too," he admitted. Yeah, because he hadn't spent all night fending off women who's attention he didn't want and trying not to get upset at all the guys checking out his hot wife. There'd been more guys and they'd been checking her out and hitting on her. Not to mention her hands all over him and his over hers every chance they got. Yeah, Max was more than ready.
He let out a low groan as he pressed into Jayne, easing in slower than usual. Not because he thought she couldn't take it, because he needed the breather to keep from losing it. Fuck, it was so good. He missed this, even though it had only been a few days and she'd been right there the whole time. Okay, that had just made it more torture. "God, baby, you feel so good," he murmured.
She shuddered visibly as he pressed into her, the slowness of that slide almost torture but the most exquisite type. "God, Maxy," she whispered, muscles instinctively tightening around him, not even wanting him to move but just to be there inside of her filling her up. Her arms wound tighter around his neck, her lips sliding from his over his cheek to his ear. "Worth the wait," she breathed. "So worth the wait."
It really hadn't been. He shouldn't have let Artemis get one up on him. Max and Eli were losing their edge badly. Which he was sure Josh wasn't going to let stand. There were too many real dangers out there. But he was definitely glad to be recovered enough he could make love to Jayne again. "God, Jaynie," he moaned as he started thrusting, slow and deep. "Yes."
Jayne still wanted to punch Artemis in the face, but that went without saying. It was all her fault they'd had to wait in the first place. Her and her bitchy, I-don't-want-anyone's-help self. But at the moment Artemis was the furthest thing from her mind. Nothing else mattered but Max, herself, the car they were in and the rain pounding against the vehicle. The fingers of one hand slid down his back, fingernails gently scraping over his skin as she let her eyes close and reveled in the feel of him. Yes was right. Fuck yes.
Definitely the last thing on his mind right now. Max's pace steadily increased, the tattooing of the rain on the car roof and her nails against his skin. "Louder, baby," he panted, leaning down to kiss her neck. God it was so good.
She was a firm believer that Max would go deaf being her husband. She didn't think he minded, however, especially when he asked for it, panting the words out the way that he did. She groaned a bit louder against his ear, nipping at the bit of flesh. Her body arched against his, meeting each roll of his hips. "Max," she whimpered, biting her lower lip as her head lolled back against the seat beneath her. "Fuck, so good."
It would be the best reason to go deaf ever. Max definitely didn't mind. He loved it when Jayne screamed, especially since she was screaming about good he was fucking her. His hands slid under her, grasping her shoulders and pulling her against him as he drove into her. "Oh God, baby," he moaned. "You feel so good. So tight and hot."
Oh fuck. Yeah, he was outdoing himself now. "Oh. My. God. Yes!" she cried out, her head falling back, neck bared for him to give attention to as her eyes rolled back beneath closed eyelids. "Fuck me," she whispered, or tried to whisper. When he was letting loose the way he was, whispering rarely happened. Especially with a girl like Jayne who liked to be vocal. She was even more thankful for the rain and the noise it made.
There wasn't anybody around for miles on a night like this to hear her anyway. Which suited Max just fine. Jayne was safe with him. He grunted and pounded into her faster as she begged him to fuck her. "Jaynie," he groaned as he buried his face against her bared throat, feeling her hot and tight and soaking wet around him. "Louder."
He got louder alright. Her own ears were ringing from the cry that came from her, ripped from somewhere so deep she wasn't even sure for a moment if she'd actually made the sound or not. Christ. Her fingernails scraped over his back, sliding up to his shoulders then back down again, trying desperately to press him closer to her as if that were even possible. "Max, yes, god yes," she cried, forcing her eyes open to look up at him to see his face as he pushed her so close to the edge she could feel her whole body tingling, aching to be shoved right over that edge. "Fuck, I'm... I'm g-," she tried to warn him but was unsuccessful. The cry that was torn from her was louder than the first, her fingernails sinking into his skin, her head thunking back against the seat of the car and her body arching violently up against him
Oh God, he hadn't expected her to come so fast. Max shuddered hard as Jayne screamed not once, but twice loud enough to make his ears ring as he fucked her to orgasm. "God, fuck, yes," he grounded out, concentrating on pushing through. He wasn't close to done yet, although the tension in his back and balls was building quickly when she came that hard. He shifted one of her legs over his shoulder, determined to get at least one more out of her before he went over himself. "God, baby. I love when you scream."
She was tingling and trembling as he shifted her leg up. The new angle had her eyes rolling back again, muscles twitching around his cock as he pressed into her. Her hands went into his hair, delving into the dark strands and clenching her fists with handfuls of his hair. "Fuck, yes," she cried out. "M-make me scream again," she all but begged him, jerking his head enough that she could press her mouth roughly against his.
The new angle was making Max groan loudly every thrust. It was more intense, stretching her pussy around him tighter as he thrust in deep. "Fuck," he panted as he pounded closer himself. "Yes. So good. So fucking tight and wet."
The only sounds she was able to make at that point were encouraging words of 'yes' and 'oh god'. Muffled in with cries of his name as she tried to keep her eyes open, forcing herself to watch his face as he fucked her. The look he got when he was close was probably the most exquisite thing she'd ever seen in her life and she really wasn't about to miss it. "God, yes," she cried out, nipping at his lower lip. "Please, come for me," she gasped. "Come inside me."
He was close. Closer than he'd thought. Maybe it was the intense position after days of anticipation. Max shuddered hard as Jayne nipped his lip and begged him to come. "God," he moaned, speeding up for the homestretch. He was shaking, his cock already twitching at the end of each thrust. Finally, he hilted completely with a shout, grinding his hips against hers as he spilled. "Goddamn, baby," he panted, leaning in to catch her mouth in a deep kiss.
Feeling him go off inside of her drove her over the edge again. She came with a loud cry, muffled by the press of his lips. Only slightly really, the sound still bouncing around the interior of the car. Good god. She trembled, practically shaking like a leaf in his embrace, her arms tightly winding around his shoulders, pulling him in against her.
Max barely had the presence of mind to help her lower her leg before he all but collapsed on Jayne. Good God was right. "I love you," he breathed against her lips, shaking pretty badly himself still. Every time seemed to be more intense, especially after a few day dry spell. "So much."
"I love you," she replied, reaching out to grab the blanket from the floorboard and pulling it over top of the both of them. "I wish there were words to explain how much I love you, but I doubt that they'll ever be invented. No word would be good enough to measure up." Which was exactly how she felt. The way she loved Max was indescribable. She brushed his hair back from his face and kissed him softly, tilting her forehead against his once their lips had parted. "I'm so glad I met you," she breathed. "So glad that you're my husband."
"Exactly," he agreed, helping her cover them. He was pretty tired, she probably was too. They'd worked all day setting up for opening night and then worked all the way through it. Which was just another reason to be crazy grateful for her. Because he needed another. Max chuckled softly, shifting his arms under her so his weight was resting on them and not her. "I am so glad you're my wife," he said as he kissed Jayne. "And that you suggested this. Another awesome great memory."
"You're amazing," she whispered, leaning up for another kiss, smoothing her hands over his shoulders and down his arms. "The best thing that's ever happened to me." She still half expected to wake up and all of this be a dream. Thankfully the dream wasn't over yet. "And as soon as we regain the ability to breathe correctly, we should go home so you can give me some snuggles," she smiled.
"I'm amazing?" he challenged. "I am only trying to keep up with you. Always." He smiled and let out a long breath. Yeah, he still didn't believe that completely. While Jayne was the best thing that had ever happened to him without a doubt, because of him she was estranged from what was left of her family and might never see them again. Which sucked and he felt worse about than he'd let on. She was already hurting enough over the situation. "If I'm ever half as good for you as you are for me, I can die a happy man." Going home to bed sounded like a good idea. even if moving from this spot didn't. "Yeah, because moving right now is appealing at all?" He leaned in and kissed her. "You think I haven't slept in my car before?"
"I don't feel like moving either," she admitted, curling into him and letting out a content little sigh. "And you are good for me, Max," she whispered. "The best thing for me." Rupert might not agree, but if he couldn't see how good a guy that Max was, well then he wasn't that great a guy himself. She loved her brother, but she loved Max too. Rupert had reacted childishly and been upset for all the wrong reasons instead of the legitimate ones that she could have understood. "I love you."
Max smiled and kissed Jayne again. "I am definitely trying," he relented. He wanted to be good for Jayne. Maybe if they could prove Rupert wrong and she finished school and got into college or whatever she wanted, he could believe that. For now, he was planning to do everything he could to be supportive of her. Since her brother was more concerned about her having some dream life he never managed than what was actually best for Jayne. That upset Max most. That he'd shut out his sister not because she'd run off and eloped with a guy she'd known less than a month, but because he hadn't gotten to be present and lord over all the details.
Okay, lingering on that was just going to ruin their good aftersex vibe. Not happening. "Hmm, we should have gone home," he said. "Then we wouldn't have to get dressed..." Actually. "Well, you don't have to get dressed at all. I could just throw my jeans on and drive home. Josh won't be home from closing yet and Eli probably passed out as soon as he got into his room..."
Jayne smirked at him. "Do I get to wear your shirt to the door or should I streak from the car in the rain and then through the house? Either way I'm going to be drenched and you'll want me again by the time we get downstairs," she teased. Well, not really teased since it was entirely true.
"I'll streak if you will," he dared her. "I can just loose my jeans when we get there. It's like 3am. The whole block'll be asleep. Nobody's gonna see us and if they do, it'll be too dark for them to do anything but wonder." Yeah, it was incredibly naughty and fun. Which was part of the reason he was suggesting it.
That got a grin from her. "See, this is why I love you," she murmured. "Next you'll suggest dancing naked in the backyard," she teased. Not that it was a bad idea. It was three in the morning and dark. And storming for that matter. And they did have a fenced in backyard... Okay, she didn't need to be thinking about naked dancing or they'd end up going another round before leaving.
"Well, we probably have at least an hour until Josh gets home..." he pointed out. "Now we definitely need to put in a pool. Midnight skinny dipping in the summer." Yeah, his mind didn't need to be going there either, but it was. "I love you."
"Mmm, I love the way your mind works. Probably because it works the same way as mine. You're my brain twin. I'm completely believing that whole soulmate thing. One soul dwelling in two bodies? Yeah, totally us." There was no other explanation as far as Jayne was concerned. "We definitely need a pool," she agreed. "And maybe a dance bar in the basement so I can... practice my stretching," she smirked.
Max chuckled. "You are definitely my soulmate," he agreed, kissing Jayne again. He groaned at the idea of a dance bar. "Okay, no more about this or we'll be too tired for dancing naked in the rain because of round two. Where the hell are my jeans?"
She grinned at him, stealing one more kiss before leaning up a little and trying to peek over the front seat. "Somewhere in the front?" she told him, shrugging a little. "Sorry, I was far too distracted by your sexiness to really pay attention to where you flung your pants."
"They're probably in the footwell," he grumbled. He gave Jayne one more kiss before climbing over the seat and finding his boxers and jeans. Struggling into them, he settled back into the driver's seat. "Now don't distract me." he warned teasingly. Not that he didn't expect her to.
"I don't know if I can promise anything," she told him, pulling the blanket up a little more and covering herself from her neck down. "See I'm still drenched and filled up with come. I might have to help myself a little more so I'm ready for you when we get home," she smirked, biting her lower lip to tease him a little more.
Oh yeah, she was definitely going to distract him the whole way home. Max chuckled and started the car. "Well, try not to make me wreck the car," he amended, grinning at her in the rearview mirror. "Have I told you how much I love you?"
"Only a million times," she murmured, smiling a little at him. "You've almost made your quota for the hour," she teased. "But I love you too, Maxy," she murmured, deciding against tormenting him, if only because she wanted to watch him give those sweet little looks back at her through the mirror. "Always."
