Maybe we should cool off
who: Chloe and Dimitri
what: Please forgive me
when: Thursday Night
where: The Lion's Den (Chloe's Room)
warnings: Heavy make out session
Dimitri was waiting for it. He didn't know what it was going to be, but he knew it would include a lot of groveling on his part. His lady was mad. Not only was she mad, she was mad at him and DImitri knew he was in for at least a tongue lashing if not a full on beating. He had done nothing but trip over himself to be nice to Chloe since she had gotten the phone call from her dad. Dimitri realized he might not have thought everything through when he convinced Chloe to help him hook up Charlie and Xander, but the pair of them seemed happy about everything and that was the important part, right?
Chloe hadn't said much directly to Dimitri the whole night. They'd made homemade pizza with Gracie and Charlie and Xander but other than small talk and the like, she'd been fairly quiet. She was annoyed to say the least and fearful for her little sister. Especially now since she'd just left her alone with Xander. She had to trust her to make good choices, however, and couldn't force her to not see Xander. He didn't seem like that bad of a guy and their father was okay with them dating at least enough to allow it to happen.
She flopped down on her bed in her room, eyes flicking over Dimitri as he entered behind her. "Close the door," she said simply and once he had she drew in a long breath and let it out slowly. "Why didn't you tell me what he'd been through? That he killed his father?" she asked. "Charlie is my baby sister and she's now dating what I would technically have to refer to as a murderer. Do you realize how crazy that sounds? Why would you want me to help you hook her up with someone who has that much baggage? What if he hurts her? Then it's all my fault for letting it get started in the first place."
Dimitri shut the door as she asked him too and stood there meekly as she chewed him out. She was right, of course, but he hadn't thought about it that way. "Um well...I didn't think about that part." he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Xander's my best friend and I was just trying to help...Charlie seems happy and he seems happy and you're dad hasn't killed anyone so it's all worked out for the best, hasn't it?" He really didn't like her upset with him. He felt like an idiot. "I'm sorry. I really am. Last thing I ever wanted to do was make you want to kill me..."
"I don't want to kill you," she sighed, shifting to prop herself up on her elbows. "I'm angry, but more so worried. I don't want her to get hurt and if he does anything to her, I'm going to have to kill him and then you'll be angry because I pulled off your best friend's head," she sighed. "Do you see the predicament you've put me in?" she questioned. Flopping back down, she grabbed a pillow and pulled it over her face so she could yell into the damn thing. Muffled screams were better than the real ones she wanted to let out.
Dimitri sighed himself and went to her, sitting on the edge of her bed. "I'm sorry." he said again. "And if he hurts her, I'm not going to blame you for popping his head off." Dimitri wouldn't be too happy either. Charlie was a good girl. He had a bit more faith in his friend than anyone else seemed to though. "Maybe I should've thought it through more and I'm sorry I didn't but...I haven't ever seen him smile like the way he does when he looks at her so I had to try."
Chloe sighed and tossed her pillow back to the head of the bed and kicked off her shoes, crawling over the mattress and resting her head against the pillows. Her eyes flicked over Dimitri and she felt a little bad for being angry at him. "I'm sorry," she murmured, reaching out for him. "Just come lay with me and tell me he's not an asshole and that Charlie's going to be okay."
Dimitri smiled as he kicked off his shoes and went to her. He laid down beside her on the bed, sliding his arms around her and pulling her close, nuzzling. "He's not an asshole and she's going to be ok." he said softly. "He'll treat her right or she herself will kick his ass I'm sure." He put his face against her neck, inhaling her scent. He couldn't help it, really. He was in her room, her very pink room which he was ignoring, which smelled like her, in her bed which smelled like her, holding her. Damn. "I"ll make it up to you, promise."
He had a point. Charlie would likely kick Xander's ass herself if he did anything stupid like hurt her. She curled into his touch and let out a soft sigh. "I hope you're right," she breathed, but tried not to think of it too much. "You don't have to make it up to me," she said. "I'm not mad anymore, I'm just worried about Charlie. It's not your fault, you were just trying to help your friend and I understand that part of it. I just wish he didn't have so much baggage. The first guy Charlie's ever interested in and he's got all these skeletons in his closet."
He gently kissed her forehead. "It's not like it was his fault. And he told Charlie about it and she was ok. I know you're worried, but just give him a chance." He knew if Xander screwed up with Charlie, his own relationship with Chloe would probably explode so he kinda had a lot riding on it as well.
"Okay," she said softly. She had to at least be willing to give the guy a chance for her sister's sake. "But if he screws up or hurts her, the gloves are coming off." She wasn't going to let some guy, no matter who he was friends with, hurt her sister. She tightened her grip on him, holding him closer to her and letting out a content sigh. "You're warm," she murmured. "I could get used to this."
He relaxed when she finally agreed to give Xander a chance. He would make sure Xander had help that he needed dealing with his crap. Part of the reason he pushed Xander to ask Charlie out was because he hoped she could help him feel better about himself. Dimitri smiled softly as she squeezed him tighter and let a hand run through her hair. "For as long as you'll have me, I'm here." he murmured, elated to be this close to her.
"Forever?" she whispered against his broad chest, eyes closing as she breathed him in. Knowing the scent of him would be on her bedding was a wonderful thought. The smell of his skin, of him in general, lingering on her bed would be enough to get her to sleep easily that night. "Thank you for taking me to get Gracie tonight and helping get her to bed," she murmured. "And I'm sorry I was so grouchy at you, I'm just really touchy lately. I'm trying to be everything for everyone and sometimes I feel like I'm not capable of doing it anymore."
Dimitri couldn't help how much he liked that she wanted him to be with her forever. In fact, he loved it. "You're welcome. She's a good kid." He was a boy who wanted a family some day, a big family with lots of kids and Chloe was the kind of girl he could see himself with for the rest of his life. "Freckles, you have a lot on your plate. I want to be the one who makes your life easier, not harder." he said, giving her a small kiss. "When you're with me, all you have to worry about being is Chloe."
Chloe smiled a little, letting out a soft breath at his words and returning the soft kiss. "Thank you," she murmured, gently brushing her fingers over his cheek. "It's nice to just be Chloe sometimes," she admitted. She had a lot on her plate, a lot more than she wanted to have, but she sucked it up and dealt with it. It was what adults did and she wanted to be perceived as an adult. She was close to being one, right around the corner from it, but even that was daunting and terrifying. Kissing him once more, she gently nipped at his lower lip, eyes fluttering open to catch his as she released the bit of flesh and smiled at him. "I can't wait to see you dressed up for homecoming," she murmured.
He was trying very hard to be the gentleman his mothers had raised him to be. Of course, when he was in bed with the woman of his dreams, her warm body pressed up against his and biting his lip, it was really hard. In more ways than one. "You're so beautiful already, seeing you at homecoming is going to possibly kill me." he murmured, stroking her cheek gently.
She smiled at those words, not believing them entirely but glad that he did. "I have my dress already," she told him, having saved enough to buy the thing nearly a month before. "Want to see it?" Maybe she wouldn't try it on for him, but at least he'd have the basic color scheme if he wanted to match his outfit to hers.
As much as he wanted to say yes, he held back. "Why don't you tell me the colors? I want to be surprised." he said. To teenagers, homecoming and prom was like a wedding almost. You didn't see the girl in her dress until you picked her up. "I want to watch you walk down the stairs in your dress and have no idea what's coming."
She smiled at him. "It's black and white," she told him, gently brushing her fingers down his neck. "More white with black accents." She found herself hoping that he'd like it and that he'd thing she was pretty while wearing it. "Do you think I have a shot at homecoming queen?" she questioned, biting her bottom lip.
Black and white. That would ne nice and easy to match and get her a corsage for. "I think there's only one queen in my world, and you're it." he said with a wide grin. "But yea, I'm thinking. Head cheerleader, most beautiful girl on the face of the planet...You're a shoe in, love."
Chloe couldn't have grinned more brightly of him if she had tried. "Where are you going to go to college?" she asked after a brief moment, her face falling a little as her thoughts got heavy with worries for the future. For their future. What if he wanted to go far away, she couldn't leave her family and that would mean they were doomed to nothing but a single year, and not a full one, of being a couple. The thought of losing him, even so soon after getting him in the first place, made her sick to her stomach.
Dimitri rolled so she was on top of him, leaning up to give her a kiss. "Wherever you are, Freckles. Easy answer there." he said with a smile. He could get into school anywhere he wanted. He had the grades, the money, and the football talent. He would be wherever she was cause she was his world.
She blinked down at him, surprised by his answer as both of her legs slid to either side of his hips. She accepted the kiss easily but then continued to look at him in disbelief. "You'd do that for me?" she breathed. "Go where I go even if it's not where you wanna go?"
His hands rested on her hips and he grinned up at him. "I want to go where you are, so I'm happy no matter where that is." he said. "Chloe...Maybe I'm an idiot, maybe I'm crazy but...I just wanna be with you. Everything else is second to that."
She was a teenage girl and hearing those words made her start to believe in things as unattainable as forever. "I wanna be with you too," she breathed, leaning in enough that she could kiss him again. "I wanna stay close to my family," she murmured. "I've been all they've had since my Mama died and I don't think I could bring myself to leave them."
"Then we stay here in DC." he said with a smile, his hands sliding up her thighs to her hips. "There are plenty of colleges here. Good ones too." he told her. "We'll make it work. For you, anything is worth it."
Chloe let out a little relieved breath as she kissed him again, this time lingering at his lips for longer than before. "I want you to promise me something," she breathed against his mouth. "If you ever get tired of me, please just tell me the truth," she pleaded. She wanted honesty more than anything in the world. "Don't lead me on and break my heart."
Dimitri looked into her eyes, his own filled with conviction. "I could never tire of you Chloe...But I will also never lie to you." he murmured against her lips, slipping hand into her hair. "Your heart is the most precious thing in the world and I would never break it."
She wanted to believe him more than anything else in the world. She had her doubts, but they were still in the beginning stages of this whole relationship thing and no matter how much she liked him and wanted to be with him forever, she wasn't going to give her heart away entirely yet. She let her head come to rest against his shoulder, closing her eyes and listening to the sound of his breathing and his heart thumping lightly. "Better not," she murmured softly. "I might have to maul you."
He let out a chuckle, stroking her hair as she lay against him. "At least I'd go with a smile on my face." he said teasingly. "Being mauled by you, not the worst manner of death I know of." He made light of the threat, but he had no intention of ever hurting her. She was too perfect.
Her fingers gently brushed over his shoulder and his chest. Even through his shirt she could feel the muscles beneath the fabric. God he was delicious. She turned her head a little and kissed the underside of his jaw. "We'd probably just end up mauling each other," she whispered against his skin. "So, no, not the worst way to go."
A grin spread on his face as his strong hands wandered over her back. "Somehow this sounds less and less like it will end in death." he murmured and yeah, he was turned on. It was easy enough to smell and his jeans were certainly tight. Damn.
She could smell the scent of his arousal and she breathed it in slowly, liking the smell and wanting to commit it to memory. She wanted nothing more than to give into his arousal, as well as her own, but she was still in her father's house and she had a bit more respect for him than that, even if he wouldn't be home that night. That didn't mean she couldn't make out, however. Arousal wasn't the same smell as the smell of sex and her father couldn't be angry at her for making out and getting her boyfriend horny. He was a teenage boy, the word 'boobs' could probably get him horny. Sliding her mouth up across his cheek, leaving little kisses in their wake, she caught his mouth in a soft kiss and closed her eyes.
He was a teenage boy and yes, his gorgeous girlfriend on top of him was definitely got him aroused. He could smell it on her as well and when she kissed him he groaned, his arms going tightly around her. He buried one of his hands in her hair and slid his tongue over her lips, begging entrance into her mouth as his hips rolled up against hers.
She parted her lips at his tongue's insistence, a little moan escaping into his mouth as she rocked her hips in response to the light rolling of Dimitri's hips against hers. She could feel how hard he was and all because of her and it was a little empowering to say the least. Knowing that she was the cause for his arousal aroused her all the more.
God almighty, she was the most sexy thing he had ever known. She tasted so fucking good and felt even better. And all they were doing was making out. Dimitri groaned and rolled over, his tiger in need of that dominant position as he kissed her like she was the very air he needed to breathe. His hands ran up her sides, careful not to touch anything he shouldn't quite yet.
Chloe let him roll her onto her back, not opposed to being in the submissive position. She found, in fact, that she quite liked that he took charge like that. Even though he was kissing her like he might die without the touches, Chloe knew he still being a gentleman, his fingers never wandering further than they should. How the hell she ended up with a guy like Dimitri was beyond her, but there she was, his body above hers and his fingers running over her sides. "Dimitri," she whispered, head falling back against the pillows, neck on display.
Hearing her whisper his name like that made his hips grind into hers a bit more because good god, HOT. He breathed out as she exposed her neck to him and Dimitri leaned in, kissing and nipping along the skin, groaning from the scent and taste of her skin. "You are a goddess..." he breathed over her throat.
She shivered when he ground against her like that, her hips rocking upwards to get a bit more of that delicious friction. She could listen to him call her a goddess all day if he wanted, the words sounding amazing coming off his tongue. They probably shouldn't have been doing what they were doing, but she most certainly didn't want to stop.
Ok, they had to get out of this position because it made him want to do a lot more than kiss her. Reluctantly he pulled back, but he took her with him, pulling her up and into his lap. He continued to kiss her neck, hands running over her back. "You're so gorgeous...Everything about you..." he murmured.
Chloe went with him, though she did let out a whimper of slight disapproval. "You're making it hard for me," she breathed. "To be a good girl." And god how he was. Her arms slipped around his neck and she kissed him back with just as much fervor and eagerness.
"You're making it hard for me in all sorts of ways." he breathed against her mouth before she devoured her lips again. He wanted her so badly it was making his head spin and he knew if they were this insane just making out, he could only imagine what it would be like when they finally made love.
"I want you so bad," she breathed against his mouth. She wanted him more than anything in the world. Little flashes of what could be rolled through her head and she couldn't help the little sound of need and urgency that escaped her lips. If they kept it up, she wasn't going to be able to keep control of herself or her hormones so she reluctantly pulled back from his mouth. "We sh-should cool off," she breathed, her fingers sliding over his cheeks as she leaned in for a softer kiss. "I want you so bad I can taste it and if I don't cool down I'm not going to want to stop."
As much as he hated to stop, Chloe was absolutely right. If they didn't they would go way further than they should. "You're right." he said in a breathless voice. He gave her another soft kiss before he untangled himself from her and slid off the bed. He needed distance a bit so he sat down in the chair by her desk, running his fingers through his hair. "Whoooo." he said, looking at her with a crooked grin.
Chloe sat there on the edge of her bed watching him from across the room. Her panties were soaked and she wanted nothing more than to strip down and beg for him to take her, but she managed to keep her cool. They were still in her father's house and she had promised no hanky panky so she fully intended to keep that promise. "Keep being as gorgeous as you are and I'm not going to make it to eighteen as a virgin," she warned him. Hell, she'd be lucky if she made it to homecoming a virgin.
She was a virgin. Of course she was. Jesus. When they finally got to..."Ok well, now that I've likely stained my jeans." he said, rubbing the back of his neck with a strangled sort of laugh. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get so...handsy and...hippy." he said.
She bit her lower lip at his words, though she was already shaking her head at his apology. "No," she told him. "Don't be sorry. I'm not. I just, god," she sighed, flopping back on her bed and pushing her hair out of her face. "I swear it's taking all of my might not to run over to you and just hop in your lap and do horribly unladylike things."
Dimitri groaned, leaning back in the seat. "Maybe we should not be in your bedroom right now." he suggested. "Why don't we go into the kitchen, get a drink, I can put some ice down my pants and we can calm down."
That sounded like a pretty good idea to Chloe. If they didn't get out of her bedroom, she'd likely die from arousal. "Probably a good idea," she sighed, climbing off the bed and moving towards him, taking both of his hands and pulling him to his feet. "You might want to invest in condoms, just in case," she told him. "Rather be safe than sorry, though that isn't an invitation that I want to have sex with you, just a precaution in case I decide that I do, okay?" Yes, mixed signals, but he was a big boy and could handle it. She leaned up to catch his lips in a soft kiss and let out a sigh as she sank back down from her tiptoes. "You've probably slept with a lot of girls, huh?" she asked him, not really wanting to hear the answer.
He could handle it, but Dimitri was likely going to be jerking off like crazy until then. Hey, he was a teenage boy. "Will do." he said, smiling a bit. Her question did throw him off and he blinked. "What? No." he said, looking at her, slightly offended. "Do I give off the vibe of manslut or something?" he asked.
"No," she said, frowning a little as she let her eyes fall to the floor between them, her fingers still clasping his. "I just, I don't know," she sighed. "You're gorgeous and you could have any girl in the world and it'd be stupid of me to think that you haven't."
Dimitri let out a sigh and leaned down to kiss the top of her head. "Once, two years ago." he told her honestly. "It was a party over the summer and to be honest, I'm not even sure what her name was...I felt awful the next day and swore when I did it again, it would be with someone who meant something to me...someone I care about."
She wasn't sure whether to be happy at the revelation or upset. She wouldn't be the first girl for him and that was sort of depressing, but at least he wasn't a manwhore or something. Not that she really pictured him being that sort of guy regardless. "I'm sorry," she breathed. "I just thought that," she shrugged a little as she tried to put all her words together. "I probably sounded like a total slut, didn't I?" she asked him. "Telling you to buy condoms like that." God she was an idiot. "What's wrong with me?"
He smiled and gently drew her into his arms, stroking her hair. "You're a teenager with hormones. My moms tell me the same thing when I do something and have no idea what possessed me to." he said. "I know you're not a slut, what you are is practical, which is a good thing. I'm certainly not ready for any kids so if one night we do get carried away, we know we can and not have to fear consequences....Aside from your father gutting me."
"My dad will not gut you unless you get me pregnant," she told him with a sigh. "He was my age when mom got pregnant with me and I know he's afraid that I'm doomed to repeat his life." Sometimes it made her feel a bit like a mistake since he didn't want her to go through the same thing. If she wasn't a mistake, then why was it so bad to go through it? She sighed at the thought and curled in against his chest. "Doesn't it turn you off to know that I have absolutely no experience as far as anything other than making out goes?"
"Well, I'm not going to get you pregnant until I marry you someday." he said with a smile, his fingers moving through her hair comfortingly. "And nothing about you turns me off, Chloe." Dimitri wondered how her mood had switched so drastically and it worried him a bit. He was afraid he did something wrong. "I care about you, a lot. You're beautiful and smart and funny and just the most amazing woman I've ever met. There's nothing about you I don't love."
She blinked a little at that one word; someday. There was no way that he could believe that he'd be marrying her, could there? He said it with such conviction that she almost believed it herself. "I just don't want to disappoint you whenever it happens," she explained. "I don't want to be a fumbling mess and not know what to do or how to move or how to make you feel good or," she sighed and shook her head a little as she wound her arms tighter around his body. "I just want to make you happy," she breathed.
"Chloe." Dimitri took her shoulders in his hand and forced her to step back so he could look at her face. "You make me happy by being you. Chloe Richards, the most beautiful and wonderful woman in the world, makes me happy. Sex is not the know all end all. You think I'm gonna have much of a clue of what I'm doing? It's going to be something we learn together, alright? Now stop stressing about it."
She wanted to stop stressing, but Chloe was the sort of girl that stressed about everything. She sighed, but nodded a little. "Fine," she breathed. "I'll try and stop stressing, but I can't make any guarantees." She knew better than promise something she'd likely not be able to do. "Tomorrow's football game is away," she sighed. "Are you riding with the team or driving yourself?" she questioned.
"You're going to drive me insane, I foresee this. Luckily for me, I don't mind." he said and put his arm around her and led her downstairs so they could get those drinks they had talked about. "I usually ride with the team, but I can be persuaded to give you a ride instead." he said with a crooked grin as he poured them some juice.
She followed him down stairs and once he'd poured the glass of juice, she hopped up on the countertop. "That's okay," she assured him as she took a sip from her glass. "The girls probably want me to ride with them anyway. But maybe after we get back we can do something. The game should be over around ten or so. Daddy usually lets me have a later curfew on weeknights." And the away game wasn't very far away at all really so the bus ride back to the school wasn't going to be a massive one. "What do you say?"
"I say whatever you want, my darling, I am at your disposal." he said with a smile, kissing her cheek before taking a sip of his juice. All Dimitri really wanted to do was to make her happy. It was his new mission in life.
"You don't have to be entirely at my disposal," she reminded him. "I'm your girlfriend, not a dictator, even if I act like one sometimes." She had no intention of telling him what to do every second of his life. "But I do want to do something after the game. I'll need to come home and shower though because I'll be gross and disgusting."
"How about we go to that 24 hour 50s place?" he offered. There was a diner that was done in all 50s era style with good old fashioned food, music, and general fun. It was also open 24 hours a day which helped when games ran long. "Ice cream and doo wop."
"Sounds perfect," she smiled, setting her juice glass down on the counter beside her and parting her thighs enough that he could settle between them in a standing position. Catching him by the front of his shirt, she gave it a little tug and caught his mouth in a small kiss. "I'm really glad you finally asked me out," she murmured against his mouth.
Dimitri had no problems slipping his arms around her as she pulled him close to kiss him. "I'm really glad I finally asked you out." he whispered in return before kissing her again. He could happily kiss her for hours on end and planned to as long as he could.
"Only took half the football team," she teased against his mouth, a tiny smirk crossing her lips. Chloe didn't care how many people it had taken to make him fall for her, or to ask her out, so long as he had. For now they were young and in serious like and that was just fine by her.
