Stay with me tonight?
Who: Calli and Elias
What: Some alone time
When: Monday night
Where: Elias's bedroom
Warnings: Cute?
After dinner the four had spent a while talking and getting to know one another. It was nice to just feel normal for a change. Dinner with family and friends and the girl he liked was the first really normal thing that Elias had done in a long time. It felt right. Calli felt right. Jayne had school the next day and so when Max left to take her home, Elias took Calli off towards his bedroom. "Ignore the lighted mirror." he commented as they entered his room. "All the furniture and what not was here when we moved in and I just left it." he shrugged. "But, this is my room. Make yourself comfortable." he told her as he let her step further inside and closed the door behind them. He wasn't sure whether to latch it or not, so he lingered there for a moment.
Calli had had a wonderful time and happily followed Elias upstairs when he suggested going upstairs to watch a movie. She entered his room and giggled when he mentioned the mirror. It was interesting, to say the least. "It's certainly interesting decor." she said, turning to him with a smile and ignoring the couch, went and sat on the edge of his bed and looked up to get a closer look at the mirror. "That's actually nifty." she said.
Elias's eyes followed her as she settled on the bed instead of the sofa. Did she have to do that? As if it wasn't hard enough to keep his dick in his pants, now she was on his bed? He mustered up all his willpower and moved to sit beside her. "It's interesting." he agreed as he laid back, feet still on the floor and looked up at the mirror above them. "Better now with your reflection in it than just mine."
The muse lay back beside him, looking at his reflection in the mirror and smiled. "I think I like that too." she said, reaching over to take his hand in hers and lean her head against his shoulder. There was something about him that just made her want to throw away her past and think of nothing but a future with him. She had thought after her ex she could never trust a man again, but Elias was so earnest and sweet and she felt a connection with him like she never had with anyone else. "Thank you for inviting me over...Dinner was great and I had a wonderful time." she said softly.
"You're welcome." he murmured, leaning a bit in her direction so he could brush his hand over her cheek. Pressing his lips against her forehead, he smiled. "I'm sorry for being so nervous at first." he told her. "Guess I just want you to like me and I was worried that I'd mess it all up." he explained. That had been the only problem really, over thinking things when he didn't really have to. Calli didn't seem to mind his family so he wasn't sure what he'd been so nervous about.
The blonde smiled, her fingers squeezing his gently as he kissed her forehead. "I was nervous too." she admitted. "I want you to like me too and I was scared if your brother didn't like me, you wouldn't either." she said softly.
He shook his head. "I could never not like you." he assured her. "I liked you the second I saw you. Max is my brother, my twin even, but we're not the same person nor do we have the same opinions about things. I know that I like you. That I like being with you. Max won't change that." Unless there was something horrible and he was forced to believe Max, he wouldn't change his mind about Calli.
There was nothing bad about Calli. She was a good person who had had people take advantage of her good nature. All she wanted was to be good to Elias and care for him. There was no motive and no insanity in her one little bit. "That's good...Cause the second I saw you my heart fluttered in a way it never had before...And you've inspired so much music in me...a whole different kind of song." she said softly.
"I'm inspiring your music?" he questioned, arching a brow as he glanced over at her. "I thought you were the one that inspired people." he commented. The thought of inspiring a muse was just unheard of as far as he was concerned. What sort of person could inspire a muse?
Calli smiled and closed her eyes, beginning to sing softly. "You've already won me over, in spite of me. Don't be alarmed if I fall, head over feet. Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are. I couldn't help it, it's all your fault..." It was just a chorus of something in her head, but it was something else that was his.
Elias was drawn to her when she sang, whether she meant for him to be or whether it was just something that happened naturally didn't matter. He listened to her sing and when she stopped, he rolled over and he pressed his mouth to hers, his fingers twining into her hair and giving it a little tug. Head over feet was a good way of describing this feeling because he surely felt like he was toppling over into some place he'd never been before.
A shiver went through her as his lips captured hers and his fingers slid into her hair. It was followed by a soft moan as she kissed him back, moving slightly to be closer to him. She didn't know what was happening between them aside from the fact she knew she didn't want to lose him. He was the inspiration for the muse who inspired.
The position they were in wasn't the most comfortable and so he reluctantly pulled back from the kiss and flashed a smile at her. It was easy to get caught up in the pretty blonde and he wanted to so badly. Toeing off his shoes, he took her hand. "Scoot up." he told her. "I shouldn't have you falling off the edge of the bed."
Calli blushed a little when he pulled back, toeing off her flats and doing as he suggested, moving up on the bed, her heart pounding. Calli wasn't a virgin, her ex fiance had seen to that a long time ago, but she didn't know if she was ready. On the other hand, she wanted him like crazy. Calli opted to just not overthink. "It's a very nice bed." she said awkwardly.
Elias wasn't going to force her into anything, even if he wanted her so badly he could practically taste it. Instead he slipped his arm around her shoulders and rested the both of them back against the pillows at the head of the bed. "I'm glad you're not the only one inspiring someone." he smiled. "And the song is really pretty, by the way." he added, moving his other hand to lace his fingers through hers. "What time do you need to be home?" he questioned, not wanting her to go anytime soon, but not wanting to keep her from the things she might have to do.
She took the opportunity to snuggle against Elias, letting out a content sigh. "It's just something knocking about in my head." she said softly. "I have notebooks all over the place with half written songs and random bits of music. It's when I really feel something that it'll all come together." Even after just texting with Elias, Calli would find herself at her piano, composing. "I don't have a curfew or anything." she said with a chuckle. "I can come and go as a please."
"If I had my way, I'd keep you here forever." he commented, pressing a kiss to her blonde hair. "I'd love to see some of those notebooks someday." he added. He was sure there were tons of things, beautiful things, between the covers of those books. If they were anything like the songs he'd heard her sing, he knew that the unspoken and unsung songs were perhaps ten times better.
Calli smiled, tangling her legs up with his. "You can see all of them whenever you like." she said and sort of wished she could stay here with him forever, but she couldn't. She owed time to Lucien. All he had asked for all he had given her was her company and her music and he didn't ask constantly. Especially with his attentions now on Bai. "Maybe not forever but...A while." she said with a smile. "As much as I can be, certainly."
That was better than not at all. He smiled at her and curled in against the girl. "Stay with me tonight?" he asked her. "No hanky panky, I promise, I just... wanna hold you for a while." And make his bed smell like the gorgeous girl laying beside him. Then he could pretend that she was there even if she wasn't.
Calli's heart ached at the sweetness of his request. "I would love to." she said, smiling up at him adoringly. Calli had been sleeping alone for a while now and it would be nice to have someone to curl up with and hold her.
"Perfect." he murmured. "If you want, I can give you a shirt to wear to bed. I'm sure I have one long enough to cover everything important." he grinned. And if it didn't, well, he wouldn't mind so much. "It'll be nice to have someone warm to lie next to."
A giggle slipped from her along with blushing cheeks. "That'll be nice, thank you." she said, her fingertips playing over his arm a bit. "I haven't slept next to anyone in a while so...Yea, it will be nice." she said, liking this idea more and more.
He smiled and let go of her hand so he could tilt her head up a little with his fingertips. Kissing her gently, he let out a soft sigh of contentment. Sure, Max would probably think that they did the dirty while she was there the entire night, but so what. Just lying with her through the night would be just fine by Eli.
