| It's just like any other day, except maybe on this particular day you wake up with a bit of a headache. You think maybe it's just a hangover from that party you went to last night, and then you start hearing a voice inside your head. Are you going crazy? No. Are you imagining things? No. Is there actually a fictional person living inside your head?
Yes.
Reincarnation has been a world-wide phenomenon for centuries. Fictional entities taking up residence in the minds of unsuspecting people; sharing memories, histories, and abilities. It began in secret, but as the number of reincarnates grew in the world it became increasingly hard to remain unnoticed, or to exist together peacefully.
Congratulations, you've just become a reincarnate. Welcome to the war.
It's 2012 and the Reincarnate War has been waged for centuries. Camelot and CORE have been locked in an ongoing battle of ideals, with the neutral agent the Agency trying in vain to keep the peace. Acts of terrorism, fighting in the streets and heavy casualties on both sides have painted the reincarnate community red, until a battle that lasted the night named Camelot the victor. Survivors began to rebuild a community now in shambles, and the magic of reincarnation has shifted with the appearance of fictional territories all over the world.
Even worse, former members of CORE have formed a new terrorist group called the Resistance. Their attacks have been brutal, and among these attacks has come the outing of reincarnates to the public. Some have accepted it with a fascination; others, fearing change and the Resistance, have reacted in outrage towards reincarnates. Mundie governments are no longer cooperating with the Agency for the protection of the community, and a temporary alliance between the Agency and Camelot has been made to weather the storm.
Where will you stand? With the Resistance, aiming for reincarnate superiority? With Camelot, aiming for the destruction of the Resistance? With the Agency, working hard to keep together a crumbling world? Or will you chance it on your own in a world where reality is being literally reshaped below your feet? The choice is yours.

 Creatures of fantasy now called 'supernaturals' interact every day with humans through the mystical protection of THE VEIL.
Some were once known as gods and goddesses, the inspiration for human fairy tales, and the foundation of human folklore. Most have adapted to a mundane life beyond THE VEIL masquerading as humans. Others have chosen to remain behind it outside of the prying reach of humanity out of fear.
Yet, not all the supernaturals are content to have humans deceived by this convenient 'gift'. There are those who would see it destroyed along with the AGE OF REASON. A global corporation called AEGIS exists to train individuals capable of piercing THE VEIL to handle these uprisings.
Welcome to San Francisco, CA. A very bizarre city setting established as the heart of this struggle in modern day for original fantasy, folklore, paranormal, and supernatural characters.
The community has been around since 2010.

I'm looking for a modern-fantasy psl with extensive world-building. I'd like to create something where our characters can face adventure, excitement and pain, where a happy Disney ending isn't necessarily guaranteed. I have some basic ideas and possible characters that we can start with behind the cut but as I'd like this to be our world, we can discard that and start from scratch. I am definitely looking for a slash line and would prefer to play through journals and threading. Dean searching for Sam and Cas for a board
I know this is a long shot but I roleplay Dean Winchester on a jcink board that allows canons and originals. Set in a AU season six of Supernatural, set mostly in a town called Red Haven while having boards for other parts of the USA. The staff and players are very friendly (a batshit crazy bunch) it's looking to be more active over the summer, the application is rp sample free but very indepth. (Totally fun to fill out) Let's get what I'm really here for. I really want a Sam. Dean don't feel right without his brother. Sam is alive but Dean doesn't know that. I play Dean well. I know his character. I'm not tooting my own horn, promise. I'm just letting you know if you decide to answer this ad and give it a chance then you may not be disappointed. I'm not saying I'm the best one out there, cause I'm not and I've seen people play him superbly. Okay, then again I could be tooting my own horn and you'll think I suck. Maybe I can promise instead that we'll just have fun. Go on hunts. Dean encouraging Sam to hit on chicks. Eating bad food and seeing every tourist attraction there is. The whole shebang.
I'm willing to play some light wincest (sleeping in the same bed, pretty much cuddling and even flirting subtley) but since I don't know how the people there would react to full blown incest, I'd like to steer clear of that unless we can get permission. (I'm a wincest fan at heart but yeah) Though I love the brotherly bond just as much.
And I'd really like a Castiel too. Dean can't be without his Cas either. Dean hasn't seen Cas in over a year, he's wondering where his angel buddy is. That one I'd be actually willing to do a relationship with, or something of the sort if that would interest you.

Empire City is a multi-fandom game on Dreamwidth that is open to canon and AU characters in a plot-driven environment that offers ample freedom for character development and individual plots.
The setting of the game is fluid, offering various different locations every few months, but all with the distinct tie of being in some form of New York City - be it on other planets, in another dimension, or simply in the future or the past. Along with the malleable setting, Empire City offers open sandbox game play as well as game-wide plots of the mystery, horror, adventure, fantasy, and humour/crack variety.

For over two hundred years, Shadow Falls was known as a quiet, tranquil New England town, as temperate and picturesque as any other and rich with the history of its Indian and Puritan forefathers. But a dark truth slept in the particulars of its provenance -- a provenance which has seen not one, but two waves of colonization.
For a number of those residents that call the Shadow Falls home have done so for centuries. These residents are not human, but vampires: the second settlers. Sweeping into the town and establishing an iron-clad rule over the humans living there, they built an extensive shadow government, enabled by a covenant that kept humans trapped within the borders of the town as stock and bound their own kind to secrecy. Through countless intrigues, security breaches, mystical plagues, and even a quelled uprising or two, the vampires largely prevailed in this scheme.

The school year is starting up and though only a few months have passed, tons of things have changed. Once friends and lovers have become enemies or have fallen to acquaintances. Enemies have found something to bond over. Those in the know find out they really don't know much at all and those who were oblivious find out they're more tied to things that they ever even realized.
So where have you been? What have you been through? More importantly, where are you going?
Starting up at the beginning of the school year following season two, we are a GPSL that focuses on character development and storylines as well as incorporating plot, angst and drama in to keep things interesting.
The first game wide plot will be a string of murders that just might have more to it than meets the eye. Who's the culprit? Will you be on the side of good or the side of evil? Will you even be aware of which side you're on?

Good group, will write!
Looking for a place in an active games/lines that leans towards supernatural, paranormal, and/or fantasy without jumping through a long line of application hoops or being restricted on what my journal name is. Not looking for PSLs at the moment as I'd prefer to thread with a group of people who are fairly active. I tend to write longer posts and detailed responses, but if that's too overwhelming, I'll adjust to suit my writing partners. Typically, I do not end threads, I will keep writing until my partners to tell me when to 'wrap it up' or close a thread to move onto a new one. Would prefer to not have to do the storytelling for a change and play an active, but passive, role in someone else's SL. Looking for a player to fill a line... Well, here I go again. I've been looking for a brother for this girl in a fantasy/supernatural game with no takes for almost a year. Now I'm game for the best friend she's known most of her life, possibly a guy who never got a shot at her because she was engaged since childhood to a guy who grew up to be a cheating bastard. Now that her arranged marriage is broken off and the ex is pursuing another woman, the best friend totally has a chance to step in. Think magic user who went to school with her (ARA; info in journal) that could have an acting grudge against her ex-fiance. Choice is up to the player if they want to be strictly on the fantasy side of the game or both sides (which involves the supernatural lines). Azzy needs a friend, a close one, so she doesn't have to constantly hide who she is anymore. Someone to trust and believe in after having her heart stomped all over. In the year 2013, modern civilization came to a tumultuous end starting with the spread of a pandemic illness causing the dead to reanimate. Chaos spread worldwide as all attempts to stop the expansion of the virus failed. Fires began with no one to stop them, cities lost power, and the use of nuclear devices only crippled the world further. Millions of lives were lost and not one country was spared in this catastrophic global event.
Five years later... Reconstruction is the main focus world-wide. In North America, protective domes have been created to keep out zombies, radiation, and any other dangers that might lurk in the post-apocalyptic world. Those surviving have a chance to start again. But what happens when their safe haven traps them in? One dome, Delphi, goes into lockdown, and the things that happen within are unexplainable.
Everyone starts as human, but it won't stay that way!

You're in a whole new place. Not just a new city or state, not even just a new country. A whole new damned planet. You know you didn't get here on your own. Neither did the people that you're with. You think you know some of them, might have met them once or twice. Do they know you, too? Everything here is strange. The plants, the animals, did that guy have three eyes, or a clever tattoo? How did this happen? What is going on? You need to find answers, and you need to make sure that you're going to survive.

Premise
Faith: Looks like the Hellmouth is officially closed for business.
Giles: There's another one in Cleveland. Not to spoil the moment.
Xander: We saved the world.
Willow: We changed the world. I can feel them, Buffy. All over. Slayers are awakening everywhere.
Dawn: We'll have to find them.
Willow: We will.
Giles: Yes, because the mall was actually in Sunnydale, so there's no hope of going there tomorrow.
Dawn: We destroyed the mall? I fought on the wrong side.
Xander: All those shops, gone. The Gap, Starbucks, Toys 'R' Us... Who will remember all those landmarks unless we tell the world of them?
Giles: We have a lot of work ahead of us.
Faith: Can I push him in?
Willow: You've got my vote.
Faith: I just want to sleep, yo, for like a week!
Faith would never get that much needed rest, because as it turned out there was also another Hellmouth in Mystic Falls and San Francisco, California. When Silas was awoken he wanted to use Bonnie Bennett to lower the veils between the worlds, but three powerful witches known as the Charmed Ones tried to stop her. The two spells clashed and caused one big disarray of magic. The entire town of Mystic Falls and the Halliwell Manor was pulled through the hellmouth into Sunnydale.
Now that the Hellmouth is reopen in Sunnydale Silas, The Master and Cole Turner have taken over the Bronze. With the night club as a cover to curb their insatiable appetites they even have gained control of the local public offices. By day the town looks like a normal town, but by night vampires, warlocks and every other form of demon imaginable run the streets, praying on the innocent. Only one hope remains in the town; the Halliwell Manor has been turned into a fortress to protect the innocent from the oncoming night.

Every version of the story is different. The conversations, the tiny details; they're all told in their own way, with different twists and turns and points delivered to properly execute the tale. The story has changed over time, repeatedly leading those belonging to different cultures with opposing beliefs clashing over the subject for hundreds upon hundreds of years. In the end, however, the story never really matters. It's the name, the significance, the idea of what he represents that strikes nothing short of pure terror into the heart of man.
Lucifer. The fallen.
As the angels tell it, it was his refusal to bow to humanity that brought on his fate. He believed that the angels were better, finding God's favoritism toward the mortal beings that walked the earth to be nothing short of distasteful. In turn, Lucifer chose to rebel by wickedly twisting a human into a demon. Rather than bringing forth the change in order as he had hoped, Lucifer instead found himself being punished by God for his disobedience. Delivered from the heavens, Lucifer was forced into a new home - a seemingly impenetrable cage trapped within the fiery depths of Hell. Six hundred seals bound Lucifer to his cage. Six hundred. Only sixty-six, if done correctly, would be required to break in order to free Lucifer from damnation. Thousands of years later, as prophesied, a righteous man shed blood in Hell. Against the torment that found him in the pits, Dean Winchester began to crumble. The very first seal was quick to follow, breaking the pathway to all others like it open to those who sought to free the fallen from his chains at last. Demons began to rise up, led by Lilith - Lucifer's First, the very human that he twisted into a demonic form that brought forth his own downfall - to break the seals. At the same time, perhaps the first in thousands of years, angels too began to route themselves toward the seals to oppose any and all who dared attempt to destroy them. A silent battle, unknown to most of humanity, waged on between the angels and demons.
In the middle of it all, stood two brothers. Each with a role to play, both with the best of intentions at heart. With the angels pushing at one side and a demon guiding the other, the Winchester brothers, too, fought against the demons, steadily gunning their way toward Lilith. The Winchesters were key players in the struggle between Heaven and Hell. That had been anticipated from the beginning. What no one expected was for the impossible to occur: while bordering a little ways short of the halfway point, Lilith destroyed the thirtieth seal and, upon doing so, unknowingly shattered a barrier between worlds. Soon afterward, people from those worlds began to appear out of thin air.
It has been three years since seal number thirty was destroyed. Since then, dozens of people from different universes - good and evil alike - have poured through the cracks in the universes that the seal created, dropping straight into the world that Lilith so eagerly sought to destroy. Those brought through the seal proved to be nothing short of a challenge for Lilith, but with a clever plan already set into motion, Lilith managed to trick one of the Winchester brothers into breaking the final seal. In doing so, Lilith was killed; Lucifer, however, was freed from his cage for the first time in thousands of years. With nothing more than vengeance set in his heart against God and all of humanity, Lucifer began to work. War would no longer be coming; with Lucifer up top and his apocalypse well on the way, it is finally here.

wariscoming is a panfandom RPG that takes place within the universe of the Supernatural fandom. Now running strong for over three years, the game is moving on from it's fourth season arc and following the major storyline of the fifth season of the series.
