Izumo pulled out a scroll and laid it along his floor. He sat in the sunshine, in his room. His door was shut and his roommate was out, but Alec would be coming along any minute and they could have a little fun. Izumo started unsealing his little vials - at least the ones that weren’t light-sensitive. He had two scrolls; the one with the vials he was working on, and another with cases of coated senbon, already unsealed.
He had a tiny syringe as well, just in case, but he doubted they’d use that.
Humming to himself, Izumo worked quickly. He was wearing a flannel button-up with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of jeans with the knees out already. He wore a pair of tall, rainbow-striped toesocks - one of his very favorite pairs.
Alec pushed the door open slowly, peering through the slight gap he had made and smirking when he saw Izumo spread across the floor. He let himself fully into the room and crouched down next to Izumo, the movement fluid and graceful.
“Hey, loverboy.” He waited warily for the reaction, unsure of what Izumo really thought about the story that had been posted about Alec. He’d soon find out if Izumo was doing this for fun of if he really wanted to hurt Alec.
“Hey sexy,” Izumo answered, and shifted to lean up on one knee, the better to get higher and kiss Alec full on the lips, a cheerful warm welcome. “Brave man to let me try to poison you,” he added, sitting back, glancing fondly at the glittering array.
Alec let out a small noise of surprise, not expecting the kiss and barely having time to respond before Izumo had pulled back. “I’m pretty sure none of them are gonna work anyway so it isn’t really bravery.” He let himself tip forward onto his knees and nuzzled rested his chin on Izumo’s shoulder.
Alec was very physically affectionate but Izumo liked that. He leaned comfortably against the other man. “S’wat you think. At least two of these are actually potent enough to kill in under five minutes. I do have the antidotes for both, right here. How much do you weigh, you think?” Izumo tapped the vials laid out before them. “I don’t specialize in poisons, so I don’t have some of the nastier ones. These are some of my personal favorites.”
The ones he had built-up immunities to, in order to survive being captured, poisoned, drugged while undercover. These were all on top of the basic immunities they started kids on in the Academy.
But Alec didn’t need to know that.
Ale swayed back slightly under Izumo’s weight before settling himself into a more comfortable position, chin still tucked on Izumo’s shoulder. “I have no idea. What do you think?” He smirked and licked at the shell of Izumo’s ear. “I think you’re way too invested in trying to kill me...”
Izumo shivered at the lick, hands stuttering as they moved. “Nnn. I’d guess, hmm, may sixty, seventy kilos? You’re not very heavy, actually. More than me.” He tipped his head. “I’m just curious. You say it won’t work, so I want to see.”
Alec shrugged. “Whatever you think. Used to get weighed and stuff all the time for the physicals but it wasn’t like they ever told me anything.” He pressed his chin harder onto Izumo’s shoulder. “You not got a nifty little spell that’ll just tell you?”
Alec ran a hand lightly up Izumo’s side, leaving it pressed lightly just above the man’s hip. It was nice to be allowed to touch, soothing. Never allowed at Manticore but now? Now, Alec could do whatever he wanted and he wanted to touch. So there.
“Mmmhmm. But normal people wouldn’t want to try it. They’d be worried they actually would kill me. But not you. Unless you’ve been getting close to me just so you can murder me in my sleep?” Alec pressed his face into Izumo’s neck, nipping lightly. “I could take you. Don’t even try it, mister.”
Izumo snorted. “Don’t underestimate me. You do know I’ve killed for a living since I was eight, right? We just talked about that.”
He picked up a senbon and held the slim metal needle poised between his fingers. “May I?” he asked, ever-so-politely, tipped his head to allow Alec better access to his neck. Had he known Alec was going to be interested in sex, too, he’d have made an effort to find that one lovely aphrodisiac poison from Mist...
Alec tensed ever so slightly before relaxing further into Izumo. “You may.” He smiled into the curve of the man’s neck. “And I wouldn’t dream of underestimating you...” He held his breath and waited for the prick of the needle, curious himself as to what would happen.
Izumo very gently caught one of Alec’s hands and tugged it out, setting it on his knee, He bared Alec’s forearm, and for a moment ran a forefinger across Alec’s palm and wrist. He found the acupuncture point he wanted, and delicately poised the needle, before using a quick precise motion to pierce the skin. No blood, and hopefully no real pain, just the sting of the needle and the faint burn of poison. The acupuncture, though, ought to relieve the pain and ease some of Alec’s anxiety.
“Senbon, these, are actually made for nerve strikes,” Izumo explained, rubbing his thumb across the hollow of Alec’s palm. “We learn acupuncture as the base for knowing where to strike. Nothing I do should hurt, well, aside from the poison. This one’s a paralytic, not too bad. I have the antidote here.”
He reached out with his other hand and tapped a prefilled syringe.
Alec released his breath when he felt the pinprick, closely followed by the poison entering his veins. Huh, okay that was new. He could feel the fingers of one hand but not the other.
“Planning ahead. Good ninja-spy.” Alec relaxed as he felt the liquid make its way round his body, the feeling in his fingers back but the numbness moving up each arm, up to his neck and down his legs. He waited until he felt it was definitely over before moving each joint very deliberately around; rolling his shoulders, his neck, clenching his hands into fists.
“You’re gonna have to do better than that.”
“Nice.” Izumo shifted, settling closer to Alec, and reached for a different needle. “Hemorrhagic. Feel brave?” He grinned.
“Hit me.” Alec lay back on the floor, folding his hands behind his head and grinning cockily. “Or stab me. Prick me? Whatever.”
“Alright.” Izumo grinned, and moved, happily swinging a leg over to sit straddling Alec’s hips. There, perfect. He tugged an arm to rest on his thigh, knees nudged up against Alec’s ribs, and found a point higher up on Alec’s ar, blunt fingers tracing flesh gently before Izumo slipped the needle in.
No blood at the point of piercing, not at first, but then a tiny drop beaded up.
Alec hummed a pleased sound when Izumo straddled him. “Now this, I like.” He reached out his free arm and rested his hand on Izumo’s hip. A small puff of air left his lips as he felt the prick and he smiled up at Izumo. “Nothing yet.”
He waited a few more seconds, still feeling nothing and then ran his hands up Izumo’s back. “I think I deserve some kind of reward before the next one. I’ve been a good little test subject, right?” He pushed lightly against Izumo, trying to persuade him to lean down to Alec.
“Huh, you should have started bleeding at the ears,” Izumo mused, setting the senbon aside. He picked up a third, twirled it between his fingers. “Reward? What makes you think I’d do that?” he teased. He smirked down at Alec, and licked the senbon. He’d chosen the one he had full immunity to, and the taste of the poison coating the senbon was bitter and gritty as it dissolved on his tongue.
Then he leaned down and kissed Alec deeply with a mouth full of poison.
“That’s not a reward, that’s a distraction.” Alec’s words came out muffled against Izumo’s lips but he made no attempt to pull away. He wasn’t exactly complaining. He ran his hands up Izumo’s back and purred moaned. “If only all poisoners did it like this, then I wouldn’t mind so much.”
Izumo licked his lips as he sat back. “You talk like it’s a regular thing, people poisoning you,” he teased, half curious as to what answer he’d get.
Alec shrugged, debating his answer. “They needed to check. That’s all.” He wriggled slightly under Izumo. “Well, that one didn’t do anything.”
“Disappointing,” Izumo sighed. “One last heavy-duty one.” He picked up the needle gingerly, and bent to kiss Alec again, deep and lingering. Blindly he angled the needle, then slipped it into flesh and vein. A neurotoxin from a snake down in Sand, a brown snake with a jet-black mouth that killed in minutes.
Alec arched his back and pulled away from Izumo, letting out a hiss of breath from between his clenched teeth. “Okay. So, that hurts. Ah!” His hands clamped down hard onto Izumo’s hips as fire hot pain ricocheted round his body. He kept his eyes on the ceiling, gradually relaxing as the pain faded down and away. “Not felt that one before.”
Izumo shifted uneasily under the grip, reaching for the antidote, but Alec was relaxing again, and Izumo waited. “If you were normal, you’d be seizing and frothing at the mouth by now. It’s some potent stuff.”
He was not entirely immune to it, himself, just enough to stay steady long enough to grab his antidotes. He placed the needle aside, carefully. “Okay?”
“Fine.” Alec shifted his gaze until he was looking at Izumo. “I definitely deserve something good for this, though.” He grinned and pinched Izumo’s side. “Like maybe you can be my sex slave for the week.”
Izumo laughed. “Not my thing. Sorry. Let me put these up and I’ll give you some better compensation, hmm?” he purred, smiling lustily. He ran his hands over Alec’s chest despite his words, not making a move to get up.
Alec pouted exaggeratedly. “Awwww, I’m crushed.” He wriggled happily under Izumo’s hands. “Mmmmm, this compensation better be good. I have high expectations now.”
“Well, I have some things I’d like to try, after last time....”
Izumo grinned and in a smooth move, got to his feet. He bent to start gathering up his poisons. Some of these didn’t need to be exposed to the air for overlong.
Alec sat, grinning as Izumo bent over, appreciating the view. “You can do whatever you feel like trying. I’m definitely a willing test subject for that.” He thought for a moment before crawling quickly to where Izumo was and pushing to kneel in front of the man, wicked grin fixed to his face and hands firmly on Izumo’s hips. “Howdy.”
Izumo laughed and smoothly bent in half to drop a kiss on Alec’s forehead. “Greedy, give me a minute.”
He back up, and knelt, nicking his thumb on a senbon. He started sealing up the scrolls, one after another, in sharp flares of chakra. Little coils of smoke drifted around his fingers as each vial and case vanished into thin air and the blank scrolls gained a kanji character denoting the item.
Alec caught one of Izumo’s hands in his own and flipped it back and forth gently. “Where does the stuff even go?” He pulled on the hand a couple of times, urging Izumo to come down onto the floor next to Alec.
“In the scroll, of course,” Izumo retorted. He pulled his hand free and finished the sealings. He rolled the scroll up tightly, and tied the silk strings around it.
He hopped to his feet and pattered over to his closet, setting things back in just right.
Only then did he come to join Alec on the floor.
Head tilted to one side, Alec observed curiously, that was something he wanted to explore later. He was a firm believer that while curiosity could kill a normal cat it wouldn’t kill him - he was a genetically engineered assassin, he could kick curiosity’s ass.
“Yeah, ‘of course’. ‘Cause things going into a bit of paper makes so much sense.” Alec rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue at Izumo. Then leant forward and licked up the side of Izumo’s neck, just for the hell of it.
“What now then?” Alec waggled his eyebrows and smirked.
Izumo hummed a pleased note, and grinned at Alec. “That’s what the seals are for, dummy.” He leaned in and kissed Alec on the mouth, eager and interested. He could taste a faint lingering spice of poison.
“Oh yeah, ‘cause that’s really obvious.” Alec retorted sarcastically, mouth held close enough to Izumo’s that he could feel the man’s breath. He leant in without giving Izumo a chance to reply and pressed another kiss to Izumo’s lips, lingering and swiping his tongue gently across.
Izumo hummed into the kiss and sank down, body against body, pressing Alec with him to the floor.
