Watson, I seem to have found and lost you again. In short, I've found a quaint little place that I think you would rather enjoy visiting. Preferably without Mary around. There's even a contemporary version of ourselves and that could make for some interesting arguments debates. I think this warrants further investigation and I could do with your companionship to smooth out certain matters along the way.

(Profile for Shirley-no-mates can be perused here, happy to discuss details with anyone interested.)

(Eta: No, that isn't the application the game requires, it's just excess detail on my part for his profile.)

I'm guessing the person you had interested didn't pan out? This is ~shimmersea in my Watson journal, btw, I'm not crazy!

Um, I'll give the game another look, maybe. That application you wrote for Holmes is extremely daunting. I am very bad at filling out applications.

No, it didn't. I commented you a day or two (depending on timezone) ago on my old entry, but I'm guessing the notification didn't go through or was lost.

Oh, the application and what the game actually requires for him is here. The profile I linked is excess detail that, for reasons beyond my comprehension, I always rattle off about my characters. I should've clarified that in my post.

Oh no, I didn't get a notification... IJ is really bad about that for me. :/ I didn't mean to ignore you, sorry.

Haha. Well, I also tend to be long-winded. Watson is one of my newer characters, though, so I would say I'm not quite sure how well I play him yet. I've got a PSL I'm in at the moment to stretch my legs, but I'm still not quite sure how good I am with him. Otherwise I would be much more interested. I am interested, but I don't want to take the space of someone who could do the job better, is all.

It happens, no worries.

250 words required for a section and I hit 2,700 word area... it's a little facepalm worthy once I look at it. Lol. It's not something I frequently do or try for, but I like being thorough when the history is there or else pops to mind. Given the notable differences between movie-Holmes and book-Holmes, I really wanted to make my take on him clear. But really, so long as the content is covered (and game application minimums are met), there would be no pressure one way or the other as far as a Watson application.

Well, you can certainly think on it if you'd like or I can let you know if I get any other inquiries. If you tried him in the game and things didn't work out or you weren't feeling it, I wouldn't expect you to hold onto the character. I just know that with his modern contemporary version about and a Tony Stark pending, Holmes is going to be into all sorts of trouble. He's very, very likely to keep Watson on his feet between the combination of people and new technology. ... and lack of ready access to most of his vices outside of alcohol. (And honestly, I've only played Holmes once myself. It was a PSL when the first movie came out; I just had a strong inclination to try playing him, pulled the acct out, and wrote up the profile.)

I have been doing a lot of PSLs lately because I really dislike applications and profiles. I miss the days where all you needed were samples. Those are easy. I don't know if it's laziness or what but profiles are so much work these days!

I'll think it out. I'll probably ask you to look over some work I've done so far as Watson to get your take on it. It would really be imperative you like how I play him, considering how close the two are. It sounds like an interesting situation to put them in. But the game is also pretty big and I haven't been in a big game in a really long time.

I'm going to consider and get back to you? If that's okay?

Sometimes too easy and not informative enough, which is why the profile had to come into play. Hard to keep track of details otherwise, lol.

It's completely fine with me. I don't want you in a situation where you don't feel comfortable or aren't enjoying it. After all, the goal of writing and RP is for enjoyment.

I know, it is important... It probably is laziness, lol.

I'll give it a think and get back to you. :) No worries if you find someone else in the meantime!
