| About: | The year is 2119. August 31st, 19 natural disasters struck the planet simultaneously - earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, electrical storms, and tornadoes. For 19 days, it poured. Oceans rose, cities flooded, dams burst. Then, on the nineteenth, the rain stopped. But the virus that had escaped one of the destroyed labs, did not. Life, as most of the world knew it, was over. The vampires had caught wind of the impending disaster in time enough to round up a few humans. Not as many as they would have liked, but not as few as they'd feared. Using ancient magic, they'd trapped the humans in stasis, hiding them away in crystal chambers. When all was said and done, the only creatures that remained on the earth were the vampires, and a few small clans of lycanthropes who had survived the disasters and were able to resist the virus. The vampires banded together in a series of kisses spread across the world. They maintained the cities - small areas of them in some cases - or towns or villages. They kept water running and electricity viable. Because of them, there were tiny pockets of the world just waiting for the humans to wake up, to find them. Of course, the humans would have to pay a price ... The lycans followed much the same path, but they were not as fussed about the niceties. They carved out bits of land in forests and jungles, creating villages. They did keep up the plumbing, and some maintained electricity, but for the most part, they were more content to return to life lived from the land. Now, a hundred years after the disaster, the humans are starting to wake up ... and the war between the vampires and the lycans over the prizes is about to begin.
