Who: Jay and James Where: School grounds/one of their rooms When: Christmas night
Holidays were for drinking and partying, as far as Jay was concerned, just as long as there wasn't family stuff to do, because he'd drop everything for that. But there wasn't, and so he'd gone to a party, drunk more than his fair share of the provided booze, and had a quickie with some girl whose name he couldn't remember in a closet. It had been a pretty good Christmas day, he figured. Of course, he was walking back to the school in the snow, past midnight, in only a sweatshirt, because he certainly wasn't suicidal enough to catch a ride with the friends he'd gone to the party with. They were all so plastered it wasn't even funny. And he'd had just enough to drink that he didn't trust himself not to teleport into a wall.
He wasn't quite drunk enough to be stumbling, but the combination of his remaining buzz and the ice and snow resulted in him walking very slowly and carefully. Looking around as he got back onto campus, checking for nuns mostly, he caught a flicker in the shadows out of the corner of his eye. Just enough to spark his curiousity. "James?" He stage whispered.
