Who: FAITH & JOANNA Where: THE HALL When: BREAKFAST
Joanna pulled the yo-yo out of her pocket. Unfolding her hand quickly, she let it fly out into the air before pulling it back into her palm. It gave a wonderful whizzing noise as it went. She loved that sound. It reminded her of the sound she made while in her bird morph. When she flew, the wind would pass through her feathers and the faster she flew, the higher the noise. Sometimes, it was almost deafening and all she had room in her mind to think about was the wonderful sound of flying.
She started to hum to herself while playing with her yo-yo, completely absorbed in entertaining herself and not at all observant of the hallways. Joanna was constantly bumping into things. Corners of a wall, tables, chairs, people! It didn't really stop her from whatever she was doing, just slowed her down. Today, she had bumped into the side of her bed, the toilet and the corner of her door. That was just this morning! Now, she was on her way to have some breakfast. Her stomach was craving toast with jam and butter. She could only hope they had some in the dining hall.
When she rounded the last corner to head into the dining hall, she bumped into the corner. Or at least, she thought so at first until said corner began to speak. Her yo-yo went slack and she lifted her head to look at the person she had bumped into. "Oh, sorry! I didn't see you! I was busy thinking." Joanna quickly said, not at all disturbed or scared that the person in front of her would be so forgiving. She picked up her yo-yo and tucked it back into her pocket. "I'm starving. Do you think they'll have toast again? I'm always worried we're going to run out."
Joanna stretched out her arms above her head and gave a little yawn. She was still not used to getting up so darn early to take a shower and get dressed. At home, she just rolled out of bed in whatever she had fallen asleep in. Here, she had to be a bit more 'presentable'. She wasn't all too excited about getting up early. Sleeping in was so much fun! It meant dreaming longer. "I'm Joanna, in case you were wondering." She turned her head and held out her hand to the stranger. "It's Jax for short. Miss Jax if you want to be formal about it."
