Summary: Dooku reflects on change as he builds the weapon that will shape his future.

It is perfect.

It is the personification of elegance and balance. He knows now that he could never have built his original lightsaber this well, but that no longer matters. He has built this blade, this blood-red symbol of his strength and his intentions. He smiles and activates the blade. The low hum fills the air, and he feels the slight vibration of it through his arm.
This blade is an extension of himself. It is a symbol of what he has become, but it is also something he must hide, for now. One day very soon, he and his master will come forth and stand astride the Galactic Empire as its rulers. Then, and only then, will he be permitted to allow this blade to shine. He can wait until that glorious day.
