Hey Guys,

Just wanted to update everyone on what's going on. The ship is finally leaving dock and because where we are going is so far, I'm going to jump ahead about a week. Even though technically it would probably take much longer than that to get there, we're shortening it a bit. So feel free to post up to April 11th while we're cruising at warp, because April 12th is when we will arrive and everything big will happen. There will be lots of action soon so be on your toes and watch out for new threads.

PLOT DETAILS:

(1)I have provided basic information of the missing doctors. As you can see, the one thing they have in common is their specialty. They have all been kidnapped. Feel free to make up a story or history about their lives if your character is researching them. They were all working on random projects when they disappeared.

(2)The planet we are headed to is equipped with multiple sensor inhibitors, preventing us from getting a clear view of what is actually out there. The ship's long-range sensors will detect a large amount of objects surrounding the planet, but there is no way to tell if these are ships, asteroids, space junk, etc. So we are headed into the unknown.

(3)The Captain assigned some characters a specific duty. Stretch that out and thread about it. For those of you who aren't directly involved, you will be soon. Take this time to build relationships with other characters, go tag crazy if you want. The ship is huge and there is plenty of room for character-driven plottage.

Does that mean that I can make up stuff with regards to the missing doctors' last transmissions (such as where the transmissions came from) and any records T'Vraeya may have uncovered while doing her research?

Also, one of T'Vraeya's concerns during the meeting was the possibility of there being an inside source that may have tipped off the Vorducaat as to the doctors' specific professions and where they were going to be at the time that they were kidnapped. Are there any specific details surrounding the kidnappings themselves?

You can make anything up that doesn't directly point to the reason they were kidnapped (e.g. where they were taken from, what projects were they working on, what some witnesses say they saw, their family, etc.) The only noticeable link we have thus far is that they were all some form of biologist and well-known in their field. None of the scientists are conspirators and there were no inside jobs.
