Oh, finally. Someone who would likely point her in the right direction. But she didn't need to ask anyone to know she was in the wrong place, especially when she ended up peeking into a door and finding a huge machine in there. X-ray. Most likely. She was young but she wasn't dumb. She was also very lost so she was going to welcome any guidance she could get in here as long as it led her to the right place.
"Yeah. I was actually looking for the volunteer's office? The security guy pointed me in one direction but when I went down there, I didn't see the office so I went down another hallway and well, here I am." She seemed nice and trustworthy anyway. And the fact of the matter was that everyone else around here seemed to be either too absorbed in their work to help her or was just completely disregarding her. Hopefully it was the former, because she would have hated to work in a place that wasn't pleasant.
"Hi, Kaitlyn. I'm Maureen. I wanted to just get some paperwork for the volunteering. Since I know I would probably have to go back to my school and get working papers and whatnot." Silently, she praised herself for knowing the procedure to even that much. Her parents had explained to her what to do already. Whether she was going to be considered old enough to work was a different story.
