Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO: The Darkness, Adenah Collins, Kaitlyn Bell (and anyone else who wants to join in--it is the biggest and most anticipated high school football game of the year!)
WHAT: Sailor Mars's awakening
WHEN: September 5, at about 7:00 pm during York Prep's pep rally before the game against NYHS
WHERE: York Prep's football field
RATING: TBD

Despite the fact that all these attacks had been going on in terribly crowded, public places, no one seemed to be phased...at least not at the game. Whether it was the morale boost that the sailor girls gave to the public or maybe it was just because this was the most anticipated high school football game of the year. Whatever it was, The Darkness noticed the dramatic difference in the atmosphere of the game. No one was looking over their shoulders, parents were allowing their children to run off and play together, and people were actually laughing. To be honest, The Darkness wasn't sure whether she was upset by the obvious lack of fear these people were showing or absolutely thrilled that people weren't constantly on the look out for her. It would certainly be much easier to turn someone into a youma and then collect energy with people not trying to drive her off. But on the other hand, the fear that she was creating in this town was heartwarming--the feeling she got simply by knowing that these humans were living in fear of her was amazing. But now that people weren't acting scared...it was kind of...depressing.

But one thing for was sure, at every single place she tried to collect energy, more sailor senshi popped up. Last time was the very worst: not one, but two senshi appeared! And they had help, too! Counting on her fingers, The Darkness counted off the new senshi, in order of their appearance: Jupiter, Venus, and then Uranus and Neptune. Four senshi. It was definitely starting to become a pattern, and she was no fool...having decided a while ago that she was going to attend the York Prep vs. New York High School football game, The Darkness already anticipated the awakening of a new sailor scout. And if one wasn't awakened, chances were good that one of the previous senshi would come to the aid of the poor, helpless humans. That's why she thought ahead...and tonight, she wasn't going to turn just one person into a monster, she was going to turn as many as possible into monsters...let the little sailor senshi take care of that mess! Then she would be free to collect energy, maim, and even kill a few people in the process. That was, if all went according to plan.

She had no choice her where to sit; as soon as she reached the football field, there was a York Prep staff member in her face, asking her which school she belonged to. When The Darkness only blinked, the staff member rolled her eyes and pushed her in the direction of New York High School's section of the bleachers. Glaring over her shoulder at the rude woman, The Darkness took her place in the sea of blue and black, with several people shouting things about 'go sharks' and making rude comments about the people dressed in black and gold...York Prep fans. It was almost amusing, sitting there in the bleachers, watching the two groups of people engage in a sort of civil war. She even surprised herself by letting a small smile creep onto her face at the sight of two boys from the opposite schools look as though they were going to beat the hell out of each other right there. Much to her dismay, however, the two boys were pulled apart by girls (also of opposite schools) and led back to their seats. While the humans were obviously stupid, it was nice to know that they could be entertaining as well.

The Darkness had just began looking over the crowd for possible youma when the crowd around her suddenly erupted. And these weren't happy calls, these people sounded generally angry. The parents and adults supporting New York High School settled simply for polite "booing," some even going as far as to stand up, but the teenagers, recent NYHS alumi, and current student body got more than just a little livid. Never before had The Darkness seen such anger in humans--even in her past conquests, when stealing their energy, no one actually got mad--they were scared! And it was quite a shock to her that the teenage humans could get so upset...and over what? The Darkness was still trying to figure out why all the young people were standing, screaming, some even cursing and using hand gestures that would have probably gotten them in trouble with their parents. Standing up herself to see over the crowd, The Darkness craned her neck to see what everyone was looking at...and soon enough, she got her answer. Standing in front of the crowd dressed in black and gold, some students even painted like tigers (that must have been their mascot, The Darkness found herself thinking), were a group of girls all dressed in matching uniforms. And they were...cheering? The York Prep crowd reacted wildly, standing up and cheering; really getting into what the cheerleaders were doing. Off to the side, someone in a tiger mascot outfit danced around, also trying his best to get the York Prep supporters to get into it. Though she wasn't familiar with human traditions, an answer to her confusion was quickly provided: the York Prep pep rally had begun.

Football games were not her thing. School spirit was not her thing. But seeing her school kick the ass of York Prep? Yeah, that was Nic Calvert's thing. And it was going to be nice to relax and be a teenager for once. It seemed as though she hadn't had a single moment to sit back and just be a sixteen year old girl since she had awoken to her role as a sailor senshi; as Sailor Jupiter. To be honest, she kind of missed just having a regular life. She wasn't exactly sure how to handle this new role, either. All of her life, she was told that things like this didn't happen--there are no such things as monsters, there are no such things as super heroes...they're all just made up. But this whole situation; this defied every piece of logic and everything that Nicole had been told to believe. And it was scary. But it was also pretty damn exciting. Nic Calvert...a super hero. Most people probably pegged her as the villain type, but it felt good knowing that she was chosen long, long ago to help fight evil and protect the Moon Princess. Which brought up another problem...who the hell was the Moon Princess? And WHERE the hell was she? It was her mission to protect her, but that was next to impossible if she couldn't even find her. So when Nic wasn't fighting evil (that Darkness chick was getting really annoying), she was trying to figure out the identity of Sailor Moon. And hey, it was pretty cool who some of the senshi were turning out to be! Alicia was Sailor Venus, Julie Ray was Sailor Neptune, and some really awesome chick that Nic had only met the other day turned out to be Sailor Uranus. If nothing else, Nic at least loved her team. In the back of her mind, though, Nic was almost 100% sure that The Darkness was going to probably make an appearance tonight.

It wasn't long before Nic was pulling up to the parking lot, already crowded with people, and making her way to the bleachers, where she was greeted rather rudely by someone asking her which side she supported--as if it wasn't obvious by the black and blue she was sporting. "Dude, NYHS, totally!" Nic pulled a rather disgusted face at the York Prep staff member, assigned to usher people into their correct sections...after all, how disastrous would it be if York Prep fans were seated with NYHS fans? Fights would run rampant and no one would even be able to pay attention to the game. Still, Nic couldn't help but retort smartly back to the obviously rude York Prep usher, pushing past her (of course, not even waiting for the woman to show her to the correct bleachers--she had eyes and she could tell that the group in black and blue was her beloved high school), Nic casually made her way down the metal seats, waving to acquaintances and familiar faces. She finally came to a halt near a mixed group of girls and guys who looked like they were probably in the same grade as her; though not all of them necessarily dressed just like her. But there was no mistaking the greeting she got--these people were obviously Nic's best friends. Grinning, she slipped into a seat, giving a few of them hugs as she did so. "I didn't miss those York Prep kids making asses of themselves yet, did I?" Nicole snickered and stole a glance down toward the York Prep seating section before turning her attention back to her friends and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, "Oh and is Alicia here yet? I haven't seen her."

Her question went unanswered, however, as suddenly everyone around her was jumping up and screaming. Her friends were shouting a few choice words at the York Prep kids and a senior that Nicole had seen around the school was even having to be dragged away from a York Prep guy by his girlfriend. Jumping to her feet and screaming a few things herself (hey, that was half the fun!), Nic couldn't help but let her eyes dart down to the York Prep cheerleaders, looking them over carefully to see if that one snotty chick was there...because she was going to love seeing her face when NYHS totally kicked York Prep's ass!

She hadn't paid one single attention to the fans that were from NYHS, for all she cared to see them as, they were ants under their feet, and the York Prep was going to stomp all over them. She concentrated on the thunderous cheers that was coming from the section where New York Prep sat. They screamed, cheered, and rattled the bleachers so hard that she couldn't even hear the jeers from NYHS even if she tried. Tonight was going to be a sweet victory for them. Adenah couldn't stop the huge grin that spread across her face as she jumped around with the other girls on the squad, waiting for their pep rally to start.

She was chatting with another girl about just how badly NYHS were about to be defeated, when she froze in mid sentence. Something wasn't right. The familiar evil was brushing over her skin, raising goosebumps over her neck and down her arms. Lucky for Adenah the girl she had been talking to had been pulled into a conversation by another screaming girl just as Adenah lost focused. She didn't know where it was coming from, or fully what it was. It could be the darkness, but whatever it was wasn't using enough power for Adenah to pinpoint and figure out who it was. Curious, cautious eyes scanned the crowed for a moment, as if hoping to find a clue.

Nothing. And the pep rally was about to start. Well, there was no point in freaking out yet, if something was going to happen, it would come. In the mean time she could put on quite a show with the rest of the team. Soon, the music was starting, and Adenah was on her way out into the area infront of the New York Prep crowed. The routine really was extremely impressive, they had worked many hours on it. the music started, and as one of the tops, and front girls, Adenah was at the front of the squad, along with the captain and some of the other better dancers and tumblers.

Soon her body was flying a series of twists, jumps, handsprings, flips, and so on. Her body moved with the music, and it was clear she knew exactly what she was doing. She was a dancer first and foremost, though she could do the jumps and tumbles too, and it probably showed. She hadn't earned a spot at the front of the squad her first year at the school for no reason. The huge smile, covering her worry, never left her face. Soon she as being lifted by boys as they started the more complicated tricks, and Adenah was spinning and flipping some fifteen feet or more in the air, and landing with perfect grace.

The whole thing seemed to fly by, and soon the routine was done, and there had been no slips. Adenah herself ended being held up by one guy, one leg braced by his hands, the other foot coming to touch the other knee cap, both hands in the air, with a huge grin on her face. She wasn't the only girl up there, there were three of them. The captain, assistant, and herself. When the music stopped, once again the crowed exploded into thunders cheers that rang though Adenah's ears. You could practically feel the vibrations running through the ground and up to the squad. She bent her knees, and fell from the position, being caught in the arms of the bottom.

The squad began to jump around again, hugging each other on a job well done, and then adding to the screams. From there they started on more tradition cheers, rather than dancing. Cheers and chants to yell, and get the crowed fired up while they waiting for the main show to begin. All the while, Adenah was keeping an eye on her surroundings, watching, and watiting. Perhaps she was just being silly? Maybe she was just jumping to conclusions. Shaking thoughts from her head, she half grinned when she saw some of the NYHS kids try to come over to the New York Prep side to stir up trouble. Some of the bigger guys in the stands easily blocked them out, before security came to escort them back to their seats. "Sodding NYHS kids." she said with a laugh to one of the other girls who had noticed the potential fight as well. "It's like they bloody well have a death wish." she laughed, and so did the girl and anyone else close enough to them to hear. This game was going to be too sweet.

Kat enjoyed watching sport well enough. She was even known to watch football and soccer on the television now and then. Of course, she wasn't anywhere near as animated about it as some of these students were. Screaming, yelling, starting fights over something as silly as a game. Thankfully the fight she spotted was broken up quickly enough. So the blond went back to helping usher students to their seats, and greeting the York Prep football coach.

Normally the team had their own sports medic, but being such a big game...Well, they anticipated more fights, rougher tackles, that sort of thing, and so she was called on as school nurse to play the part of assistant medic. That and she suspected that they were worried about the Darkness, almost as much as she was. Luna was sure that this would be a target. It was perfect. No doubt the Darkness would be eager to get as much energy as she could while there were still only a limited number of senshi around.

At any rate, until that point she was all about school spirit, or mostly at least. Kaitlyn had dressed for the part though. It had been fun. She pulled her hair back into a high pony tale, wore a black sleeveless top, a gold skirt (which had taken ages to find stuffed down in the very back of her closet) that she was worried looked a little too cheerleader with it's length only slightly longer then the aforementioned uniforms, and one of the football players she knew from her time interning at the hospital had supplied a stripe of eye black for each cheek.

She'd spotted Nic coming in, and was tempted to say hello. However, she doubted that the girl would appreciate being greeted in front of her friends by a school nurse from the opposing team. After all this was done maybe she'd say hi real quick. Assuming the Darkness didn't attack before then, that is, which she just might considering the way things had been going lately. Though the attack at that last Juli concert hadn't happened until afterwards, so she'd just have to keep an eye out.

There was also a strange -- warmth? Was that the right word? It was different from when she knew that sketchy woman was around, and she did have that unsettling chill. It was more like when she'd first run into Nic, when she told the girl had to transform. Maybe there was another one of the scouts here? It wouldn't be surprising, all these students, two different schools...She'd have to look out for that as well.

Lukas didn't really like football. On the upside, he didn't really dislike football either else he'd be a social outcast. He just didn't have the sort of personality to be a fan of the game. But, of course, this was high school, and there were little acts he needed to play out if he wanted to have a good view from the top of the social ladder. As far as Lukas was concerned, the cheerleaders were the best thing about these games, and he wasn't even into the cheerleader sort. They pretty much blurred into one short-skirted entity to him, though he had to admit they were all very nice people, at least to him. Some of them were less nice to people that looked less nice, but the same could be said of Lukas, so who was he to judge? Of course, now that he thought about, that new girl in his psych class, Adenah, there was something about her that made her stick out a little. Not something about her in specific, just that vision he'd had the other day when they were together. A sailor scout in red doing battle against someone eerily familiar. Someone whose face he'd begun to see in mirrors instead of his own. But enough of that. This was a football game, and Lukas was slow on his game--the game he liked to call Picking A Fight.

Actually, Lukas had gotten an early start on the game when he was coming through the gate, but he'd found himself ushered to the seats before he could start getting colorful. By now, it had gotten a bit quiet (quiet being very, very relative) in the York Prep bleachers, and quiet just wasn't any fun, so Lukas found a couple of friends, all with the necessary height and build to make anyone else of an excessive height and build to think twice, and waded in as close to the NYHS section as his friends would allow for his safety. Mind you, that was pretty damn close. So close in fact that Lukas found himself stepping on a few toes. That was entirely by accident, and Lukas apologized to them about it in-between petty swipes and witty retorts. It was their pride he was aiming for, not their toes, after all. Several choice insults later and it looked like one of the NYHS boys was ready to leap out of his seat and attack him. For that moment, Lukas grinned beautifully. Unfortunately, some whiny girl pulled the would-be attacker away and out of sight. A damn shame, really. After that, Lukas had to make do with taunting the crowd from afar.

Lukas was about to call it quits and go back to his seat before spotted a familiar face in the crowd. His favorite NYHS student, who else? He waved at Nic, not entirely sure she'd even spotted him yet. It was only part greeting as it rapidly transformed from a wave into a good-natured, one-fingured salute. In hindsight, that might've been a bad idea. She might not give him free cookies next time they met, and Nic's cooking was one of the few things in the world that Lukas reliably ate. Ah, well, it was all in the spirit of the game, right?

She couldn't help but marvel at the scene around her. True, The Darkness had spent a majority of her time on Earth watching humans and their reactions to others...but nothing came close to watching teenagers from opposing high schools have a go at each other...just because of a football game? The concept of football was very foreign to her, naturally, but something told her that even if she understood every little aspect of the game, even if she loved it, she still probably wouldn't have understood why these teenagers were getting so into it. It just...made no sense to her.

But if she was going to do this whole thing right, she was going to have to go unnoticed, even with the new youma running around. Previously, she had just gone all out right after turning a human into one of her mindless zombies--she practically gave herself away, the way she acted. But that wasn't going to work this time; not since she wanted to turn several humans into youma. And if people noticed her right off the bat, then how was she going to fulfill her goal? No, she was going to have to be inconspicuous. Leaning forward as usual, she pulled back on the shoulder of the older woman sitting in front of her, whispering something harshly into her ear, then pushing her forward; releasing her very first monster into the crowd. The monster instantly reacted, shifting from the image of a an older soccer mom-looking woman into the very picture of horror. Seconds later, she was racing through the bleachers, grabbing hold of as many humans as possible. It had begun.

Acting just as panicked as those around her, The Darkness forced herself not to smile--a smile would surely give herself away. Even going as far as to add in a scream, The Darkness did quite a job at blending in with her surroundings and the panicked humans around her. Making her way over to the York Prep side of the bleachers, she ran smack dab into the back of a taller high school boy; looking as though he was doing his best to protect a girl who was more than likely his girlfriend. Placing a hand on his shoulder (acting as though she were simply steadying herself), The Darkness performed the same routine on this boy as all the others...and in seconds, he too was transformed into a horrifying youma. And just as she had expected, wanted, his first victim was his screaming girlfriend. Ah, young love.

The Darkness didn't try hiding her laughter now; watching the scene of horror unfold right before her eyes. Having two youma running around was surprisingly better than just having one. But she wasn't done. No, to make this absolutely perfect, she wanted one more--and this youma would be the best; the cherry on top. Well, no, that wasn't completely true...the cherry on top of the whole situation was that there were any sailor senshi there to stop her. That was the cherry on top. But her final victim, the only one she knew that she specifically wanted to be her newest youma, was down on the football field.

Somehow, in the midst of all of the panic, The Darkness had managed to keep her eye glued to the dark haired York Prep cheerleader; she hadn't gone far, after all. Easily pushing past the masses of screaming, horrified people, The Darkness raced down the bleachers--she wasn't going to let this one get away. Jumping down onto the football field, the dark haired woman landed straight in front of the girl; an evil sneer on her face. Lunging toward the girl, her arm outstretched toward her, the Darkness shrieked as she reached for Adenah, "I think you know what happens next!" And if all went well, this little York Prep cheerleader was going to be her third and most powerful youma yet.

God, this was amazing. Nic, being a rather aggressive person, absolutely loved it when York Prep and NYHS went head-to-head on anything--because it guaranteed that there was going to be a fight. And if her fellow NYHS students needed back up, there was no doubt that Nic was going to jump in and land a few punches herself. She watched eagerly as people went head to head, laughing and calling out a few times here and there as each of the fights got broken up. The nerve of these York Prep kids, it was astounding, really. Letting her eyes drift to one particular fight, Nic actually laughed out loud to see none other than Lukas (quite possibly the only person in all of York Prep that Nic actually LIKED) doing his part to start something with a few NYHS boys. Acting positively shocked when his friendly wave turned into a rather obscene gesture, Nic responded with her own enthusiastic finger gesture before smiling widely and wiggling her fingers at him. Naturally, she wasn't offended--not in the least. That was just the relationship she had with Lukas; he was about the only person she could joke around with like that without pissing them off. People were so damn sensitive!

But what happened next happened so quickly. One minute, she was shouting curse words at the York Prep side of the game and the next, not one but two creepy monsters were prowling the stands. Nic's mouth fell open as she watched students from both schools jump from the stands; teenagers pulling their parents and little sisters away from the youma; parents screaming for their children. It was...horrifying...and she wasn't going to stand for this! Ushering her friends away and casting a glance in the York Prep direction to see if Lukas had gotten out alright (she didn't see him, so she only hoped for the best), Nicole plunged her hand into her purse and extracted the glinting green and gold henshin pen. Shoving her fist into the air, Nic screamed the words that already felt so familiar to her, "Jupiter power, make up!" A flash of light to the civilians around her, to Nicole, she was undergoing a completely new transformation. With her clothes peeling off to reveal the green sailor fuku with the pink bows, electricity swirled around her the entire time. The final step to becoming her senshi self was the transformation of her hair: lengthening and becoming a deeper shade of brown than Nic's natural shade of auburn, it was quickly pulled up into a high ponytail. Finally, striking a pose, Nic had successfully transformed into Sailor Jupiter.

Surprisingly enough, it only took her a second to locate The Darkness. The woman was turning more people into monsters, and in order to put a stop to the monsters, she was going to have to put a stop to The Darkness. Green eyes focused on the raving woman...and much to her horror, she realized that she was bounding down the bleachers toward a very familiar looking York Prep cheerleader...Adenah. And suddenly, everything made sense to her. The whole...weird feeling that she got when she ran into Adenah back at the cheer off...it wasn't because the girl was evil, it was because she was one of them. Adenah was a sailor senshi. But who was she? So far, only herself, Venus, Neptune and Uranus had been found. That left Pluto, Mercury, Saturn, Mars, and, of course, Moon. But she didn't have time to think. This senshi, whichever one she was, had yet to awaken...and unless Luna or Artemis was there to help her, she was essentially powerless. Jupiter had to help her!

Taking the bleachers two at a time, Nic found it very surprising that she didn't stumble or fall along the way...especially considering how fast her adrenaline was pumping and the fact that she was wearing healed boots. Somehow, though, she managed to keep it together and launch herself from the bleachers down onto the football field in almost no time flat. "Don't you dare touch her!" Sailor Jupiter quickly placed herself in between The Darkness and Adenah. She extended her gloved hands like a barrier between the two, daring The Darkness to cross to her. There was absolutely no way in hell that she was going to let this crazy bitch lay a hand on one of her friends. Firm in her stance and unwavering in her gaze, Nic only hoped that Artemis or Luna was in the crowd to help Adenah awaken into her former senshi self. If not, Jupiter was just going to have to take matters into her own hands.

When the first...thing, monster whatever, was released, Adenah's head snapped up, eyes narrowing. It only took a few seconds to locate the creature. As if it could get any worse, a second one popped up not long after the third. One on each side, and already they were attacking people. Anger flared through Adenah. These people were helpless, and she was attacking them, changing them, and forcing them to attacked their loved ones. She couldn't stand for it.

Then the Darkness did something that Adenah wasn't expecting. She came right at her. All around her the rest of the squad was scattering, screaming, but Adenah didn't move. Her stance was set, a firm glare in her eyes. She was a miko, she had power the rest of the students didn't. Adenah didn't even notice the arrival of Sailor Jupiter, she was too busy watching the Darkness approach.

She knew she couldn't defeat the Darkness, but she was betting she might be able to stun her, if only for a moment. She was evil, Adenah dealt with evil. Her monsters would be easier to handle, but hopefully, maybe, she could at least knock her on her back for a moment.

She jumped back slightly when the woman in green suddenly just appeared infront of her. She placed herself infront of her, but the Sailor Soldier wasn't exactly doing anything. She wasn't as defenseless as the others. But perhaps she could help the humans in the stands. If this girl was going to place herself between Adenah and the darkness, it was a perfect opportunity.

From somewhere in her uniform, she pulled out her scrolls. "Sod off, you nasty old hag." she retorted, before she threw her concentration and energy into the scrolls. She began to chant out rin, pyou, tou, sha, kai, jin, retsu, zai, zen under her breath, and unknown to her, the hair around her forehead blew back, and the bright, shimmering red sign of Mars was glowing there. Please, help me. she prayed briefly, before flinging her hands up just before the Darkness could touch her. "Akuryƍ Taisan!" she yelled, the scrolls standing strait up in her hand.

But her attack wasn't directed at the Darkness. In fact, her vision and concentration was at those in the stands. The scrolls launched out of her hands, and flew to the monsters terrorizing the crowed, quickly. At the very least, she could freeze the evil for a short while, maybe thirty seconds at the most, if Adenah held on long enough. The people could get away, and then she could deal with the situation at hand. Apparently she would make a good monster.

Her power continued to ripple around her as she held her concentration, though she directed her gaze to look past the girl in green to the Darkness. Adenah couldn't figure out why Jupiter was helping her, and not the others. People were going to be die if someone didn't defeat the creatures, and Adenah could only hold them for so long.

Kaitlyn had been moving down the line, helping some of the players wrap their wrists, laughing and joking with them, keeping their attention so they weren't tempted to join in on the fights starting up around the stands behind them. It was ridiculous how much aggression a high school game could fuel, but she left it to the campus security to break up the fights. It was while she was doing this that one of the players gripped her arm and attempted to pull her in the direction of the doors with the rest of the fleeing crowd had spotted the first youma. Yanking her arm away, Luna fought her way back through the panicked students only to see yet another creature rising over the crowd.

Honestly, she was useless against the monsters. It was up to Jupiter and any of the other scouts here to put a stop to them. So Luna turned her sights on the Darkness, who obviously already had her next target in mind, and raced in that direction. It was as she made her way across the field that the henshin pen formed in her hand, almost radiating a heat of its own, especially when she caught sight of Adenah. Mars.

Adenah, who despite not being awakened yet, was still fighting the youma in her own familiar way. Luna couldn't help but smirk a little despite herself at seeing the youmas freeze as a result. If that wasn't enough to convince her of the girl's identity the mars symbol glowing brightly on her forehead certainly was, especially when Jupiter seemed to recognize the girl's importance as well and stepped between the cheerleader and the Darkness. While Nic kept the woman at bay, Luna pulled the girl away, probably breaking her concentration on the scrolls, but it would definitely be worth it.

"Yell Mars power, make up." Luna insisted simply, pressing the pen into Adenah's hand. She doubted the instruction would require any further explanation at that moment. Especially with Sailor Jupiter standing right in front of them, she expected it would be obvious what was meant to happen.

Lukas laughed to himself when Nic returned the greeting. It'd been a while since the last time he'd passed by the bakery she worked at to steal a bite to eat--he'd been dropping in to visit her less often now that the school year had started, and he'd been looking a bit thinner in the mirror too now that his diet wasn't supplemented by a host of sugary treats. He'd have to remedy that next time he got a chance. Remedy the visiting Nic part, of course, not the eating sugary treats thing, though he wouldn't mind remedying that one too while he was at it. One of the finest lessons Lukas learned in life was to never, ever turn down Nic Calvert's food or else your taste buds will never, ever forgive you. Flashing a quick grin at Nic before he turned away, Lukas went back to taunting the nearest NYHS student before he heard a scream come from behind him. That one scream was soon followed up by more screams, enough that Lukas didn't see the point in counting. He would've turned to see what all the screaming was about if he couldn't guess, but as it stood, the cause was as plain as day.

In front of him, one of the NYHS boys, the same one that'd been pulled away by his girlfriend, twisted in his skin, warping and morphing until it stretched into a monstrosity of teeth, claws, and deep red flesh. Lukas felt a little like screaming himself, but that wouldn't have gotten anything done. The monster thrashed and Lukas saw his--if it still even counted as a he--girlfriend fell to the ground with an awful scream while anyone else close by fled to wherever safety could be found against something like this. Seeing that one of his friends had fallen, either out of fright or someone else had pushed him over, Lukas gave him a hand up. "Get up," he said, "and get away." Finally turning to look behind him, he saw another monster tearing at a flock of soccer moms. From there, he caught a glimpse of what could only have been Sailor Jupiter standing on the football field between a cheerleader and a woman that looked suspiciously like someone that'd call herself The Darkness. Oh, yeah. Stand up to the lady over there when the monsters were over here. Well done, Sailor senshi. Gotta admire those priorities.

Looking back to the fallen girlfriend, Lukas made his way up the bleachers to her as quickly as he could without drawing attention to himself. He didn't think she was alive, but if she was, well, he owed her something. She'd left the relative safety of the cheering crowds to drag her boyfriend away from Lukas earlier, and if she hadn't done that, she might still be standing. Well, she's more likely be running since that's what was all the rage right now, but she wouldn't be on the ground, and Lukas wouldn't be wondering if he'd sealed her fate.

She should have expected that something would have stopped her from nabbing her number one target. And wouldn't you know, it was a sailor senshi. The Darkness recognized this one...the green and pink uniform, the hair pulled up into a ponytail. This was the exact same one that had stopped her the very first time, at that concert. And she had been at the last attack too, with Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. It had to be Sailor Jupiter, the proverbial thorn in her side. She had prevented The Darkness from collecting mass amounts of energy the last time that she had planned an attack and now she was going to try to prevent her from turning this little brat into one of her most prized monsters? She wouldn't hear of it! Blood absolutely boiling, The Darkness let out an ear-shattering screech as she swiped at Jupiter, stopping herself just before her hand made contact with the sailor scout's skin. If she was going to do this right, she was going to have to keep her head--no cat fighting aloud. Had the little sailor scout forgotten about her two youma in the stands behind her, ravaging the football crowd? What was so important about this stupid little cheerleader? It didn't matter, however, because the longer she kept Sailor Jupiter occupied, the longer her youma would have to collect energy and create chaos.

"Sailor Jupiter, we meet again!" A snarl formed as her upper lip curled upward, showing off a few of her sharp, white teeth. Behind her, she could still hear the screams of the people in the stands--it was music to her ears. Shutting her eyes to savor the moment, The Darkness's smile turned softer as she listened to the beautiful sounds of chaos going on behind her. It was magical, truly magical. However, as she opened her eyes slowly, the smile turned into a malevolent snicker and her hands slid defiantly to her waist; as if she was daring the sailor scout to do something about it...either she left the girl or she let the people die, and the choice was rather simple. Raising her eyebrows, she waited for the green-suited senshi before her to choose.

But naturally, not even this was going according to plan. Fully expecting Sailor Jupiter to make a decision, one that she might regret for the rest of her super hero days, The Darkness was more than just a little enraged when the York Prep cheerleader stepped forward (even going so far as she call her a nasty old hag, which was very insulting, naturally) and produced scrolls from her uniform. Before the girl even spoke, The Darkness knew what the scrolls were. She knew what they would do. And furthermore, she realized who this girl was and why Sailor Jupiter had suddenly sprung to her rescue. This girl was no ordinary girl; she was one of them, the unawakened Sailor Mars. And sure enough, there was that blonde woman that the girls kept referring to as Luna, slipping the girl a red henshin pen to transform. Rage flared through her body as she realized this, and again she found herself screaming. This was not happening.

Raising her hands high into the air, The Darkness summoned forth her youma--it didn't matter if they were doing a fine job of collecting energy from the stands and creating a scene of devastation in their wake...she needed this girl dead before she could awaken to her true sailor self. There was no way that she was going to let another sailor senshi awaken...she already had at least four she had to deal with, and that was plenty! Therefore, having a fifth sailor scout awaken was simply out of the question, and she was going to have to deal with this problem before it went any farther...and what other choice did she have than to kill Sailor Mars?

Jupiter kept her jaw set and firm, staring daggers into the eyes of the enemy. At her snide remark about meeting again, she snickered before replying with a very snotty, "Unfortunately." She knew that neither wanted to see each other... The Darkness obviously didn't want to see her because the old witch knew that she was going to put a stop to whatever nightmare she was trying to create. And naturally, Jupiter didn't want to see The Darkness because she didn't particularly like standing in the presence of evil and watching people around her die. Nic squinted her eyes in disgust at the woman, who was obviously getting her kicks out of hearing the sounds of horror going on around them. This chick, whoever she was, was seriously sick, and just watching her reaction to this whole thing made Jupiter that much angrier. Not only that, but it made her realize that she had a choice to make...either leave Adenah there to go help the people in the stands or stay with the (hopefully soon-to-be-awakened) sailor senshi while people continued to get hurt.

But surprise of all surprises, Adenah wasn't as defenseless as she appeared. Hearing the brave girl behind her addressing The Darkness, Nic turned her head to glance over her shoulder; not at all surprised to see that once again she had those scrolls on her...which suddenly turned stiff at the utterance of a few words that Nic had trouble understanding. It didn't matter though, because in the end, it made her decision a lot easier. Looking to the stands, Sailor Jupiter instantly noticed that the fighting youma had been struck still. The scrolls had worked! A large, triumphant smile found its way onto her face, and things only got better with the arrival of Luna, as it meant that she had been right and Adenah was a sailor senshi...not only that, but she was going to be awakened. Nodding at Luna as she pulled Adenah to the side, Jupiter turned her attention back to The Darkness.

Seeing the obvious anger of The Darkness, Jupiter couldn't help but find herself smiling again. It was obvious that the awakening of all of these sailor girls was getting to her. And how could they not? Every time she went to try and kill people and do whatever it was that she did with them, there was always a sailor senshi there to prevent her. And sometimes, like last time, there were multiple senshi. Things were going to start getting much harder for this insane chick, that much Jupiter was sure of. But for now, she was going to have to keep her busy while Luna worked on getting Mars awakened. And it looked like she was about to have company as The Darkness was busy on trying to summon the motionless youma. At least no one was getting hurt in the stands anymore?

Deciding to go to the youma and head them off in the stands, Jupiter cast a single glance over her shoulder at Luna, Adenah, and The Darkness, before racing into the bleachers. Climbing the stairs as quickly as her booted-feet would allow her, Nic did her best to help aid those closest to the youma, trying to get them out of there before whatever spell Dee had put on them wore off. Casting a sideways glance off to the side, her green eyes fell upon Lukas, and she found herself having to bite her lip to keep from gasping...she thought that he had made it out a long time ago. Racing over to her friend (who, she reminded herself, wouldn't know that she was really Nic), she knelt by the body of the unmoving girlfriend; one of the youma's obvious victims. Keeping her eyes glued to the girl below her, Nic only raised them once to look at Lukas, speaking to him urgently before looking back down at the girl, "Did you see what happened to her?" Having been pretty busy with transforming and then racing after The Darkness, Nic had missed quite a lot. Every now and then, she checked over her shoulder to see whether or not the motionless youma had moved, but other than that, her attention was completely focused on helping this girl, and the other victims like her.

Being pulled away did infact break her concentration, and the scrolls would fall to the ground, leaving the monsters free to move and attack once again. "Hey!" she said quickly, before looking to see who it was that was pulling her aside. The school nurse? But when the woman produced a red pen, and then started telling her what to yell, it all fell into place. The vision she had in the hallway of another sailor scout, the one in red. Why Jupiter had planted herself between Adenah and the Darkness. She had known something was coming her way, but this was a bit ridiculous.

Though she was out of sight from the chaos, she could still the crowed, the Darkness, and what she was doing with her monsters. Adenah glanced down at the pen in her hand, staring the the red stick for a moment, before her fingers clasped around her. "Right." she said, knowing exactly what was going on. She, or she had once been, in a past life, Sailor Mars, and she was about to take that on once again. Adenah threw her hand up in the air, determination coursing though her. "Mars Power, make up!" and then it happened. She was spinning while circles of fire moved around her entire body, getting smaller as they covered her arms and legs. Her cheerleading uniform melted away, replaced by a new one. A red and purple fuku, to match the style of the other scouts. Red high heals took the place of her white sneakers, and her hair began to change. Growing longer, it settled down past her waist, turning a black and purple colours. When the transformation was done, she found herself automatically posing, and later she'd have to wonder why she was doing all these corny things on reflex. Blinking now purple eyes, Mars looked over to Kaitlyn. "You can count on me." she said with a nod.

And then she was off running, easily, quickly, which was surprising considering what she was wearing. She didn't know how she did it, but soon she was landing on the bleachers very close to the monsters, now very much free from her power. She cocked her head to the side, looking down at the Darkness in an almost cocky expression. There was a new player in the game, and she was just too hot to handle. "Agent of Love and Fire, the pretty sailor suited soldier Sailor Mars! In the name of Mars, I will chastise you!" the words automatically came out of her mouth, and she almost flinched. She was really going to have to work on the corny lines, though they did seem to fit in a moment.

The monsters, now free to terrorize people, had to be stopped. Somehow, she just knew what to do, and that it would knock them out of commission. With any luck, the Darkness would stick around to play. If Mars got one, maybe Jupiter would get the other at the same time. "Fire...!" she started, her hands coming together, two pointer fingers sticking out, as if she was firing a gun. At the tip of her finger, a flame erupted in a twirling ball, and began to grow. "Soul!" she yelled, and the flame shot forward, engulfing the nearest monster a wave of flame. She wasn't worried about burning anyone, people had used them freezing up as an opportunity to run. The flame circled around the monster, leaving no chance for escape.

"Face it, lady, I'm just too hot to handle." she said, pruple eyes flicking to the Darkness in a glare. You could practically see the fire burning behind her purples, Mars was ticked off, this woman had destroyed what was supposed to be the best part of her weekend, and had killed innocents in the process. She tried not to concentrate on the bodies. "I'd suggest you run, while you still can, before i turn up the heat." she squared her body to look at the Darkness, ready to attack. But she didn't, not right away. Instead, her gaze moved to Jupiter, just to see if she had attacked the other monster. If not, then Mars would be glad to try out her new found talent once again.

While the chaos raged on, Lukas knelt down next to the girl. He found himself kneeling in a pool of blood, and he hoped it wasn't hers, though he couldn't see who else's it could've been. She looked like she had seen better days. She also looked like she never will see any more better days. A light brush of his hand against her throat told him that she was still breathing was coming in quick, shallow gasps, and her skin was damp with sweat but cold to the touch. Her eyes were opened wide and staring lucidly at something he couldn't see, but she didn't seem to notice him. Lukas tried a futile, "Hey, are you alright? Can you hear me?" In hindsight, he wasn't sure why he bothered. Lukas didn't consider himself a medical expert, but he guessed she was suffering from shock, not to mention massive blood loss. Now if only he had a clue what to do. Something told him that trying to drag her away would only make her wounds worse, but it was plain to see that leaving her there would be a death sentence. Then again, it seemed like the death sentence had already been cast.

From the corner of his eye, he saw Sailor Jupiter going through the bleachers, helping a few of the frightened people--well, they were all frightened, some of them were just so frightened they weren't operating anymore. Those were the sorts that were creepy monster bait. Admittedly, Lukas wasn't exactly doing anything entirely useful either, but at least he wasn't adding to the screaming and chaos. He looked at the girl again and wondered what he could do besides stay by her side. Not that staying would've even accomplished anything either, but he felt like leaving her alone like this would be some sort of sin against humanity.

He was surprised when Sailor Jupiter stopped by him. "She fell," Lukas explained with a nonchalent shrug that belied his concern. He gestured at the girl's wounds. "That thing helped her fall." Lukas fell silent after that for a moment, not sure what more there was to say. She was dying. There were only so many words to describe unless you were a doctor. After a few seconds, he continued in a level and even voice, stopping every now and then to find the right words, "It was her boyfriend or somebody else she cared about. It... He turned into that thing. Clawed her. She's... lost a lot of blood." Lukas paused. "Is killing monsters all you can do? Or can you heal? She doesn't need a doctor; she needs a miracle."

Everything fell into place a lot smoother then she expected, but then again -- the more these things happened, the faster she was able to react. It didn't take long for her to give Adenah the henshin pen, and the next thing she knew both of the senshi were running to put a stop to the youma terrorizing the crowds. She knew they could handle that, and with the monsters taken care of, the only thing left that she could do was try and help the others get out.

Her gaze quickly fell on Jupiter again though. The green-clad senshi had stopped by a student instead of continuing straight to the monster. Of course, she could understand the concern, as the girl on the floor was clearly in an awful state -- but the longer she stood there the more everyone else was at risk of getting injured just as badly.

Seeing this, Kaitlyn ran back to the sidelines where she'd been originally, getting the first aid kit intended to help football injuries, and joining the small group. "Go, help them!" She instructed, motioning back to the youma and the Darkness. "I'll do what I can for her."

Looking at the girl though, what she could do was severely limited. The poor thing had lost a hell of a lot of blood. Throwing open the case, her attention turned to Lukas. "Keep talking to her. Here -- Hold this over that wound, make sure you really press down." She pushed a thick layer of gauze over a large wound across her stomach, motioning for Lukas to push down on it. There were several clawed bits of flesh, some bleeding worse then others, and Kat only really had time to take care of the largest ones. Lukas could hopefully stop the one over her abdomen, and there was a gash down her arm responsible for most of the blood that simply couldn't be fixed with a little pressure.

"Honey, if you can hear me, this is going to pinch. Just try to calm down, you're going to be fine." It was a lie. She hated to have to lie, but unless an ambulance got her to a hospital fast these temporary fixes weren't going to help for very long. Still, she pulled a rubber cord out, tying and knotting tightly around her upper arm to stop the blood flow. The least she could do was give the girl some hope (assuming she was lucid enough to understand still).

The girl aside, she had to say, it was a relief that Lukas was so calm. It would be harder to do this and deal with a panicking boyfriend as well. That and he could stay with her, so Luna didn't have too.
