Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO: The Darkness, Ren Satoh, Julie Ray, Arthur White (and Kat, Alicia, Nic and whoever else wants to be there!)
WHAT: Sailor Uranus's and Sailor Neptune's awakenings
WHEN: September 2, shortly after 9:00 pm during the Meet-and-Greet
WHERE: Juilliard Concert Hall.
RATING: TBD

Things weren't looking so hot for The Darkness. Though she had great plans for taking the energy of these lousy humans, it wasn't going exactly as planned, what with the sudden arrival of these sailor senshi. What was really bugging her was that she had heard that they were dead--everyone knew that they had been long gone. Yet here two of them were. They didn't look exactly the same and after seeing Venus transform, she knew that her civilian identity certainly wasn't really Aino Minako. Not only that, but these sailor girls were powerful. Though she tried to act as though fleeing from both the concert and the welcome back party were of her own will, the truth of the matter was that she felt as though she had to flee in order to save her own life...take the energy and run; she couldn't risk it. Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus made her uneasy, as did their male and female companions Artemis and Luna. And after having to abandon her last youma, The Darkness could only pray that there weren't any more of these girls...or if they were, that the rest of them wait to make their presences known until she had gathered more energy and she was essentially invincible.

And it didn't help that everyone knew about these past two events. One thing that The Darkness hadn't anticipated was the use of cellphones...and the fact that many New Yorkers were probably going to either be taking pictures of the incidents or filming them. In what seemed like a matter of seconds, the entire world knew about the attacks going on in New York. Not only that, but they knew who was behind them. People were going to be on the lookout for her now, so she was going to have to be on her guard at all times. She no longer risked it by going out during the day--it would be too easy for her to get recognized. Instead, she waited for night to fall before she went ahead with other minor attacks. These smaller scale attacks didn't usually generate as much attention, but there were a few of her smaller victims that managed to somehow get on the news. It was amazing how quickly word got around in New York and while she was glad that she seemed to be feared by all of New York, it would have been better if people didn't know what she looked like. She didn't fear being caught, as the humans could do nothing to her, but it would put hitches in her energy-stealing plans if she had to keep leaving locations because of humans.

So with this in mind, The Darkness played things quite low-key when it came for her to slip into the Juilliard Concert Hall. Thank god for her unexplainable powers, as they allowed her to somewhat alter her appearance. True, she couldn't change everything about her appearance, but she did manage to change up her hairstyle (shortening it and even getting it a bit lighter) and even changing her eye color. Making changes without magic seemed to have a bigger effect, though, as she was able to shed her junkie-looking image. Instead, she wore more dignified clothes and a pair of studious looking glasses. In a matter of minutes, she had gone from street dweller to college student, flawlessly. Because of this, she wasn't even given a second look when she entered the concert hall after Julie's 'surprise' concert. A line that reached the door had already formed, trailing up toward the stage where a table sat in plain view. It was time for the meet and greet.

The Darkness smiled sweetly to those around her as she took her place in line. And she had to hand it to herself, she must have done a good job if no one recognized her--her face was all over the place. Blinking, she cast a quizzical look around the crowded concert hall. She had to admit, it wasn't as crowded as she thought it would be. Certainly there were a lot of people there--possibly even more than at Alicia's welcome back party--but due to recent events, people seemed to be avoiding large gatherings. Even the people who were there kept looking over their shoulders, watching their backs, as if a monster was going to pop out at any second. And they were right to fear this...because little did they know, it was about to happen.

Kaitlyn had been a bit hesitant about the whole concert thing. Her last experience with those hadn't ended well at all. Hadn't started well either to be perfectly honest. Still, she'd felt that personal reservations aside, it was important that she be there. The last two attacks had been at large events, and this was probably bigger then the other two had been, with loads of young, energetic students to make it all the more tempting. The wave of unease that had settled over her the moment she'd entered the concert hall hadn't been very comforting either. However, here she was, a few hours later, the whole thing was almost over, and no sign of monsters or the Darkness lurking about that she'd seen.

Despite being kind of preoccupied during the show, and her previous bad experience with concerts, Kat had still managed to enjoy it for the most part. She'd stood in the back, rolling on the balls of her feet, even singing along now and then to the songs she recognized. It helped that she didn't stick out like a sore thumb this time, and that the music was closer to her tastes then Nicole's had been. Enjoying it made the time seem to pass quicker, and soon she was heading out to the theater lobby with the assurance that the night would be over as soon as they finished the meet-and-greet.

Glancing at her watch, the blond leaned casually in the doorway, looking up as Juli entered the lobby from a nice safe distance away from the many enthusiastic fans. The girl seemed unsettled for a moment as well, and the pestering whisper in the back of her mind piped up again. It had started the second she saw the younger pop-star. Luna couldn't help but acknowledge the faint recognition, especially when the cello had been brought on stage for that last song, and if she was feeling the same chill Luna was then it was possible -- Possible but she wasn't sure, and as of this moment she had no transformation pen to prove her suspicions. So she stuck to her place by the door, counting down the minutes until this was over, and hoping that it all finished without a hitch.

Eventually she took to scanning the large group of people again, flicking casually through the many faces in search of someone familiar. It would've been nice to see one of the girls, Nicole or Alicia, and she'd had been hoping to spot Arthur somewhere in the back of the crowd as well most of the evening. The fact that she hadn't seen him -- well, it might have been a good thing. If something was wrong he would've been drawn here too, right? Just like the first concert. On the other hand, she still would've appreciated having him around either way.
