Mutilated Body Discovered Near Camden Authorities say animal attack may be responsible Camden police officers investigate the human remains in the nearby forest. A hiker reported the discovery of the body to local authorities who sent officers and medical staff to look into. The body was mutilated and it appears the heart and liver were torn out. The two organs have yet to be found, but Camden police it may be the result of an animal attack.
Police Chief Ned Tucker said, "We have no reason to believe this is anything but random. We ask hikers and locals to remain vigilant, and report to the police immediately if they see anything suspicious moving around. Animal control will be on hand to respond immediately." As of this morning, the authorities have yet to identify the remains, but they believe from the clothing found on the body it is likely the remains of a drifter.
