Iconning for the masses.

It's been a long time since I posted here, and I might start doing icons again, and see if I can recover some of the older ones. But before I attempt any of that, I want to discuss something that happened, and how this is will affect the rules from now on.

( The Incident: tl;dr, toxic fandom bs. )

Nobody has to like the shows or people I make icons of. However, that doesn't give them free reign to verbally abuse me or any other fans of the show. That is not, and has never been, what the community is for.

There are plenty of places to be toxic fans. This isn't one of them. At the time, I didn't even think it needed saying. I was wrong, however.

So let me be clear:

People who engage in verbally abusive behaviors, harassment, bigotry, or just toxic fandom bs in my community will be banned.

I'm back! Just thought I'd put that out there.

Anyway, my return to iconning is kicked off with Omari Ismael Grandberry, better known as Omarion. Expressive, adorable, babyfaced, and dance-aholic, Omarion. As an iconist, I'm in love with him. He works the camera, smiling, laughing, sulking, and just generally being expressive in a way that begs for iconning. He's got all the ingredients for a excellent pb. In fact, this set was originally intended for personal use, hence its focus on his shoulder-length cornrows I-am-pensive look.

It's also an old set that puts my "old sets I've decided to upload" to shame. I held off on this set for roughly two years before finishing it up and uploading it. While I do have some more (and updated) images I can icon, I figured this set has been waiting long enough. In fact, any set, has been waiting long enough.

The LorealPhelps twins. I know the hair is dyed, but I envy the hell out of these kids. My hair doesn't look nearly so well conditioned after most dye jobs. I want a team of stylists dammit. Okay I've gone on about them enough.

Oliver Phelps. OLLIE! Same as I said before with James: fake!ginger, as much in the way of normal clothing as feasible at the time. Old set.

I like how these came out better than the James set actually. And after a while while making these was considering switching pbs. (If I revisit the idea, I probably will. He's too much lanky/goofy fun.) As before, most of the images were from Twice As Nice's gallery.

James Phelps. At the risk of stating the obvious, he's known for his role as Fred Weasley. For these sets, I specifically chose pictures of the twins that showed them with shaggy (loreal-enhanced) red hair. I also tried to get a good number of them in normal attire.

This is an ooooold set, one I'd planned for personal usage, alongside a friend who would use the Oliver set. That plan fell through, so I recently decided to fix them up and share. Possibly not enough -- some of them are kind of dodgy, imo, but for the most part I like them. Most of these pics are from Twice As Nice's galleries. Others from compulsive googling, or other fanpages. It's been so long since I started this set, and I wasn't as careful at keeping tabs on where I got the images than I am now.
